I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Everything was delicious and well cooked. They make a mean calamari that is tender and not over cooked at all. To start off, this place is cash or check only but don't let that keep you from visiting. It's worth stopping somewhere to grab cash beforehand. It's also BYOB and to save a few dollars ($3/glass), bring your own wine glass if you're bringing something that's not bottled. The experience is great if your goal is to have a dinner that tastes amazing but this is not somewhere you come and have a romantic dinner for a date night. The bruschetta was a small portion and I'm not the biggest fan of balsamic but every bite was memorable. The Caesar salad and Pollo Alla Milanese entree were a good size and the dishwasher didn't have to clean much cause I licked the plates clean. My girlfriend also really enjoyed her lentil soup and gnocchi. The service was good but not very fast. A solid choice for provincial Italian cuisine. We met friends there who had dined there before and we were not disappointed. I had the Firenze 07. Which was a rustic pasta dish with carrots and walnuts and sausage in a red sauce. All entrees come with a piece of light focaccia bread. One of our friends had the pesto. Another one had another pasta dish. My husband had a lemon chicken in a cream sauce that he wasn't expecting, but it was still good. Now know it's BYOB. You can bring in beer or you can bring in your own wine. Our friends brought in a bottle and they brought in four wine glasses, ( the restaurant will charge a three dollar per glass one time pour fee per person if you use theirs ) and we brought in our own bottle of Cabernet too. So we have plenty to go around. It's very small inside very intimate. You are packed right on top of other diners, but the patio is more comfortable and that's what I recommend even in the cold because they have enclosed in vinyl and there is a heater. We lingered after dinner. We had no problem dealing with the patio setting. About the most obtrusive thing would be when people parked and turned on their lights, and then it would glare into the patio area. But that's really nitpicky. We had a great time. Our server was amazing. She was attentive and helpful. We will definitely go back. And to say that is probably the best compliment a restaurant could receive. read more

This was my first time trying this establishment on 06/22/24, and we will definitely be back. I was on a mission to find authentic Lasagne All Bolognese, so my husband told me about this place. I ordered the Lasagne with a Caesar salad, and my husband ordered the Vitello Ai Funghi, and for dessert, we had the Panna Cotta. The food here is really fresh and delicious. The noodles were homemade and light. The restaurant is tiny but adorable on the inside, seating no more than 20 people. With larger tables and seating outside. This literal "whole in the wall" authentic Italian restaurant is in the heart of Near Southside Ft Worth with a multitude of other shops, restaurants, bars and music near by. The indoor seating can seat 20 people (no typo) but the outdoor seating is a good amount. The large outdoor space is enclosed with thick plastic walls that can be opened or closed, depending on the weather. We have sat outside in both warm and cool weather and was fine. We have not sat outside during excessive Texas heat. I believe they had heat in the outdoor space but no AC -- could double check, this could have changed. They also have sidewalk seating that is awesome in the great spring & fall Texas evenings. This CASH OR CHECK ONLY, dinner only served & BYOB. The couple next to us grabbed drinks from the bar next door and brought them over, which I had no idea they did that. There is also a liquor store just up the road on the opposite side of the street that you could hit before coming. They do charge $3/glass or bring our own for no fee. They do NOT take reservations over the phone and we have never been when there wasn't a wait (even before they open there is a line to get in). The food is very good with daily specials. In the pictures is appetizer mascarpone with home made pear & fig preserves, bread cabbage soup (soup of the day), lamb ragú (daily special) & flatbread (daily special) with mushrooms, arugula, shave Parmesan and balsamic. All were very good, the soup was amazing. The only complaint was the flatbread was barely warm and the balsamic was on the bread so it was getting soggy by the time it got to me. My error is I assumed the flatbread would have some crispness to it since that is how other flatbread pizzas I have had were served. After 1 piece it was cold and getting more soggy. The flavor was good (added red pepper flakes) & the ingredients were abundant. This was listed as an appetizer, so it was definitely shareable. Now that seating has expanded to the outside tent and to the sidewalk, it is so much easier to get a table at this restaurant. Most recently I had the pasta with lamb sausage - bursting with flavors. Penne Pasta cooked al dente-perfectly. The focaccia is always delicious - oily and salty. Sid salad comes with it. My friend had the tenderloin and arugula -- tender and juicy. Servers are attentive and prompt. No liquor license, so be sure to bring a nice bottle of Italian wine to pair with your meal.
