Just discovered this little Italian gem and I'm already went back twice! It's family owned and you can feel it the second you walk in. The servers are so friendly and welcoming. The best part: I had a specific craving that wasn't on the menu (it likes "build your own pasta" from Romano's Macaroni Grill restaurant that is Grilled Shrimp on angel hair with veggie) and they cooked it exactly how I asked. The dish came out perfect and even better with high quality shrimp and veggies. You can tell the kitchen really cares. Macaluso's is a great Fort Worth Italian restaurant. Been here a few times call ahead for reservations or you may have a wait. The seating is limited inside. The restaurant is small and cozy. Twice we could not get in without a long wait. Other times we made reservations and did not need them. Best to be safe and call. Bar seating is also available if you want to sit there. The food was very good, we tried two of the dishes. They are Chicken Sunrise, and Veal Genovese, both come with pasta and the sauce on the meals are wonderful. Since we like these two dishes so much it is hard to try anything else. Bread rolls also come with the meal. Salad is extra, I had the Caesar salad. Started with an appetizer Escargot Provencal.... oh man this is good. Dip your bread into the garlic butter yum. The plates have plenty of food you will be full or take-home leftover. Nice glass of wine is good with the meal. Service was good once they were terribly busy, so the food came out slowly. But I understand the staff were working very hard. Last night we drove an hour to eat at Macaluso's - March 27, 2026. The food is usually decent and the atmosphere is pretty. This was our first time to have this particular female server. I did not get her name, but she is white, average height and weight, and probably age 25 to 35. We are a family of three - my husband, grown daughter, and myself. We are also white so as to demonstrate that I am not taking offense toward her over race, but I only mention she is white so the owner can identify her. We ordered three of exactly the same plates - angel hair pastas with vegetables with plain marinara and three waters - a very fast and easy order to take. All seemed ok at first, but then when our food came out we asked her if we could have some bread with it. She said ok. But then she went to the back and returned FIVE times with no bread. She was not bringing food or drinks out to people. She just was simply not bringing out bread. There was a man who was delivering food and we asked him if we could have some bread and he went to her and told her. She still continued to come out without it. Finally he brought it. The bread was a little burnt on the top and luke warm. It tasted fine so that is not my point. My point is that it was not fresh out of the oven - meaning the wait was not because of it being in the oven. We have had it right out of the oven before and it is obvious when that is the case. So it was bread that was sitting around and could have easily been grabbed and brought to us before our food was cold from waiting FIVE trips. The restaurant was not swamped with business. She did not come back around to ask us a single thing not one time from the time she took our order until we had finished eating. The other man had brought out our food. The other man refilled our water glasses. She finally came at the end and took our plates. We ordered a piece of pie, which we had ordered before, and she brought us a very small piece compared to what we normally get. We normally like this restaurant, but this server's attitude was so bad and uncalled-for that it made us decide we probably will not come back. The bill was over $60 and the three of us drank water and ate no meat - which we had no problem with, but to drive an hour and be treated so badly moved way beyond the price or the food. Like I said, it has been a warm-fuzzy place for us, but this lady was so unfriendly and so what seemed to be DELIBERATELY being awful that it caused us to feel like we could not go back again. I have no doubt that she was doing this out of an attitude. We had no idea why, but it was so obvious that she was not returning with the bread on purpose, and was not returning to check up on us like a server normally would. She was coming out from the back with nothing in her hands and just doing things like putting new table setting on the other tables. It was around 8:30 and they close at 10:00, and people were not pouring in. There was no reason for her to treat us that way. My family goes there at times for a pleasant experience, but she made the experience unpleasant and we had no idea why she would have wanted to do that. But that made us feel bad and perplexed when we were trying to have a special night. We will find a different place to make our new warm-fuzzy in the future. read more

Lovely little neighborhood Italian Restaurant with East Coast vibes. We split the Caesar salad, which was very fresh, and the dressing was tasty. Hubby got the Fettuccine Carbonara for his meal. He was not a fan of the meat on the dish. It was a warm salami-type meat and not what he was expecting. The pasta and sauce part of the dish was good, though. I had been craving pizza, so I got one of their 10" cheese pizzas and added my own toppings. It was a nice little pie that will feed me again for lunch tomorrow. Service was excellent! How did it take so long for us to discover Macaluso's. Maybe because it's kinda hidden in a little shopping center. We've eaten at many places in the area and just missed them. Not anymore. They have become one our favorite Italian places. I love to start with the Escargot, make sure you ask for extra bread for dipping, which is always great. I know that Escargot is French and not Italian but who cares. Every time I have been here I get the Veal Genovese which OH MY GOODNESS is one of the best things that I have ever put in my mouth. Tender veal in a Cognac cream sauce. Yep, you will need more bread to sop the sauce so that you don't miss a drop. The prices are a little high but not so much that they can only be reserved for special occasions. The service has always been top notch which keeps us coming back. read more

This place looked good... so why not! Boy was I surprised! Not only was the food fantastic and flavorful (and in Italian/German), it arrived to my house PIPPING hot!!! Considering it was a 72 minute ETA, I'm not even sure how this restaurant and door dasher pulled this off! Wow! I had a fantastic experience at Macaluso's, and I will certainly be back. I have lived in the area for years now and never known about this restaurant. The service was great, food was amazing, and prices are good! I had mozzarella sticks (given to us on the house) complimentary bread, and lasagna. The bread was perfectly warm and honestly to die for, I could have eaten a whole loaf. I would also highly recommend the lasagna as an entree, it was cheesy, and delicious. Subpar food and abhorrent service. Waiter initially approached table with an attitude and it went downhill from there. My dinner was lukewarm when it arrived. Waiter never checked back until the 3 other ladies I was dining with were almost done. And then when he asked if everything was all right, he never stopped for an answer. I had to shout to get him to come back. Then he chastised me for yelling at him! Manager was requested. He came out and once it was explained to him, he said he'd "take care of it". I was charged $30 for inedible food, no drink refills and an abundance of aggravation. One of the purposes of our visit was to check out the place for our monthly ladies luncheon. Service was good, it's got a great feel to the place. The food is nothing to write home about. Very basic Italian food. I think I expected a little more gourmet. We ordered a bottle of wine that costed $35 yet I saw the exact same bottle at Albertson's for $15. That's a huge mark up!! Maybe if my MIL wasn't Italian I wouldn't be so hard (my husband is adopted), her food is all made from scratch even her pasta. I want so badly to give this place a higher rating. We heard good things originally about this place. I'll start off by saying this place needs to revisit their service. I know the food industry has been hit hard and has been struggling to have enough employees. So I get it. HOWEVER, it does. It excuse rudeness and also expecting one waiter to attend to 10 tables. The other 2 waitress were helping hand out food and bread and handing out menus. We came in and they said the wait would be 30 mins. The place was far from packed. They said they couldn't put tables together which is fine but there was another family of 5 at a 4 top. They sat us when another couple came in. We waited at our table for our drink order to be take for like 20 mins. We asked for bread 3 times while they brought out fresh bread for everyone else and even bread and drink for people seated after us. The waiter gave us snide remarks when ordering. Mind you we had two Little's and I asked for marinara and noodles only and he made a snide comment about it. They never refilled our drinks. It took 30 mins after we finished to get to go boxes and then even longer for for the check. My husband had to take the kids to the car because they are 3&6 and were DONE. Sad part is this was my Dads birthday dinner. Now the food... was actually REALLY GOOD! Fresh and the sauce was so good! Their bread was fresh and fluffy. My kids loved the spaghetti. The chicken strips was a little iffy for picky eater but it's hard for him to find anything he likes. I recommend everything we got to eat. I just hope maybe they can hire some more people and rethink their customer service. Maybe one day we will be back and I can update but as for now... I leave it at 3 stars read more

Our family had dinner at Macaluso's Italian Restaurant and we loved it! Not only was the food really, really good, but our waitress (E) was so great and super friendly with our kids. We immediately felt relaxed and right at home. We live about 3 hours from Fort Worth, so we can't eat here regularly, but I'm certain that we would if we lived closer or if we visit the area in the future. I recommend that you treat yourself to an excellent Italian food meal and eat at Macaluso' Italian restauran. read more

Delicious family owned business with authentic pasta recipes! We dined here for a family dinner yesterday evening and the restaurant was pretty sparse. The waiter that served us was a young woman who told us that she was the owners daughter. She was so kind and sincere. We started by sharing a bottle of red wine and some escargot. Escargot is delicious! The menu consisted of a lot of traditional pasta dishes. Everything is very reasonably priced! For full price dinner entrées, everything is under $20 if not under 15. I ordered their homemade Lasagna, which was a spectacular choice! Rich in flavor and cheesy deliciousness. For dessert we all shared the donuts with powdered sugar. I'm not sure what they were called but they were extraordinary. A must try! Exceptional service, home made pasta, delicious red wine, what could be better?! The only suggestion I have and the reason for four stars, is the Decor and ambience. With so much competition nowadays, I think they really need to step up their game in creating a more modern and fresh atmosphere for customers.
