Redfish with mashed potatoes and spinach
    Tonya K.

Don't underestimate this FW downtown spot. Classy atmosphere and always great service, from the hostess to the servers. I was in a private room and loved the menu. The sweet potato soup was spectacular. Beautifully presented and with a rich and comforting flavor. Grace's house bread roll with butter is excellent for a basic staple. The redfish was full of flavor with complementary sides of mashed potatoes and spinach. Cookies and cream was a good quality and size. Looking forward to my next delicious visit!

First time customer here. This place rocked. I've had it on my list of restaurants to visit for a couple months and finally made some time to come out. The service was amazing and the drink options were fantastic. The service was so, so good. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

The service was a bit slow at first, but once our waitress got our order, everything was fast and efficient. I think it was just a bit busy that night. The restaurant had a nice upscale vibe. Our waitress was also very friendly. She split our dishes up when we said we were sharing which was a nice gesture! The butter poached oysters were amazing! Super creamy with a nice salty kick from the caviar. The steak was properly cooked and the pasta dish was delicious!

This place is very good place to eat. Our waitress was incredibly nice. This place however lacks the ability to provide a welcoming and upscale atmosphere. Plus there was a long wait time between courses. Our waitress did apologize for it and it was Friday. Not a big deal. However the food is great. Started the whipped ricotta had a truffle infused honey and it was phenomenal. It was a flavor combination that I wasn't expecting and definitely enjoyed. The filet had a truffle butter and was cooked perfectly. The creamed spinach was absolutely fantastic with great flavor. This place has a good dessert menu. The sticky toffee pudding cake had a stewed Gala apple that really added a refreshing element to the dessert. Great place for a special event

First review of 2025!! i came here for my birthday dinner and i'm very glad we picked this location. We made reservations a week ago, and luckily there were still tables open for us. We got the below items: Whipped House Ricotta - truffle infused honey, meyer lemon and grilled Icon sourdough bread $21 Capellini Nero - Maine lobster, trumpet mushrooms, marinated chilis and toasted bread crumbs $31 (individual plate) Filet 8oz. / 10oz. $59 along with Béarnaise $6 Mac 'n Cheese - caramelized sweet onions and anaheim peppers $17 Creamed Spinach and Baby Artichokes - fontina fondue, panko bread crumbs and preserved lemon $18 We finished the meal with a Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. Food: The appetizer (whipped house ricotta) was actually a lot of food. i had to limit myself from finished it all, otherwise i would not have been able to finish my entree. The capellini was the better choice out of the two entrees. The filet was just alright, i don't think it was worth 59 bucks. I did end up getting bearnaise sauce and it made the steak really delicious. We also got two sides, and they were really tasty. We didn't finish them all, and actually brought them back home. If you have room for dessert, make sure you try and get the sticky toffee pudding cake. Service: 10 out of 10. The service was amazing. very attentive and made it feel homey Ambiance: Very nice upscale vibe Parking: I know there is valet for 10 bucks, but i found parking 1 street over. If you come on the weekend, parking is free on the streets.

Ordered the Ivory Sweet Potato Soup and it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I loved the bits of crispy chickpeas in the soup. It was also warm and creamy which I enjoyed. I ordered a filet mignon--medium rare--and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked very well. It was tender and moist. The yukon gold potato puree was creamy, buttery, and the perfect amount of savory.

Upscale ($$$) restaurant in downtown FW with indoor & outdoor seating areas. This place has elegant calming interior decor. I had the jalapeño soup, halibut in a light creamy sauce, gold potato purée, baby spinach. The fish was a bit dry for my taste. The sauce had mild flavor. The potato puree & spinach were also mildly seasoned, not bad. The best part was the chilled the jalapeno soup - DELICIOUS & flavorful with just the right "kick of heat", that's not overpowering the smooth creamy avocado flavor. The dinner roll was warm, perfect pair to the smooth, creamy butter. All the staff were very attentive. Food is pricey, portioned just for one-person's meal, but great ambience & service.

Arguably the top restaurant in Fort Worth! The service is the perfect balance of attentive and relaxed. We had a private room for our business dinner & it was quiet & comfortable. I'll try to run through all the food, but short version is all of it is ! Trust the server's recommendations.

    Are there any vegan options?

There were a few appetizers and salads that looked appealing that included dairy though and some of the sides appeared to be vegan like the brussels sprouts. I don't think they have any vegan entrees though.

Can I bring my own wine for a corkage fee?

I would call and ask. I think if you are a regular there, seems they might accommodate you.

What type of attire is this place? I don't own a suit.

Suit is not required. But I would dress up nice. Dark jeans and dress shoes, and a collar shirt. if you wanted to wear jeans

Shut up and take my money…read more Impeccable service. Staff was super helpful, over the phone answering queries about wait time and in person. The servers are very knowledgable about the food and drinks and were able to break down the mixology (my husband found a new favorite whiskey). As always, hubby asked for the dairy-based condiments to be left off his dishes, and although he has more of an intolerance than an actual allergy, the server (without being asked) consulted the chef and was able to list every dairy ingredient in every dish, down to the milk powder in the brioche. (You'd be surprised how often the staff just shrugs and has no idea what's in their own food.) I believe no matter what you order, it will be one of the finest examples of that menu item you will ever taste. We had the crab cake appetizer, prime rib and gouda stack, french onion burger, chips, fries, whiskey cake, and cocktails. My husband's old fashioned was the best old fashioned he had ever tasted. He ordered a second. The food was sublime, each menu item was either delicious or outstanding. Whiskey cake is the only item on their dessert menu because it is the only dessert you will need. It is their version of a sticky toffee pudding. It's huge. We were there for a birthday, so we were given the whiskey cake for free. I'd say the margarita was just a margarita, and the water in the fancy jug was definitely gross tap water, but every other food and drink item was perfection. The restaurant is appealing and clean inside. I am glad we were seated in one of the side porch areas where there is sunlight and fewer folks. The interior is quite dark and loud, but nothing outrageous. It's just that style of restaurant. Happy hour is weekdays 3-6, with a small selection of popular drinks for $7.

The free champagne, appetizer and popover bread was the perfect way to start our meal. The popover is to die for, and I'm still thinking about how delicious it they were. For the man course, I ordered the scallops. They were good, but I'd be open trying another dish on the menu next time. Wicked Butcher is definitely a classy establishment to visit when if you enjoy peaceful and beautiful ambiance in the downtown area.

The marinara was prepared very well and the meat was soft and delicious. The sourdough bread was so good as well. The crispy chicken sandwich was different. I don't think there is a way that the chef would have known this but the chicken breast was a woody chicken breast. This means that there was a quality issue with the chicken because it was tough to cut and almost impossible to bite into. I wasn't able to eat the chicken so I ate the cole slaw and bread along with the fries. They did offer to bring me something else but at that point I was over it. Now, I finally had the opportunity to come and visit... twice in one week no less! The first was for an work-related holiday Secret Santa. I'll start by saying the staff were incredibly accommodating. Although we didn't reserve the space in the back, they allowed us to use multiple tables not just for the large party but to place our gifts and belongings. On this night, I started off with a drink from the seasonal menu - the Praline Old Fashioned. It had the perfect level of warm carmelized sweetness to accent the oak and boldness of the whiskey. We got several of the appetizers. The chicken wings were crispy and well seasoned - the firecracker is the flavor I recommend but all are great. The brussel sprouts were definitely a nice surprise. I'm not usually a fan of brussel sprouts but these were crispy and had that sweet chili glaze. The bitterness was tolerable and not overwhelming at all. Lastly, the favorite appetizer for the night were the Boomtown Shrimp. 12 come per order. I could have easily inhaled all of them if it was just for myself. This is a must get. For main, I got the popcorn chicken. Listed as their number #1 seller, I feel like it certainly delivered on quality. Crunchy on the outside, tender and juicey on the inside, and flavorful throughout. This was already a great first impression of Game Theory. Less than a week later, I'd return for a dinner with some friends. This time, I got to be in the reserved room in the back. There was a TV, a separate selection of board games, and built-in speakers for your own music if desired. To start off the night, we got the Bad & Bougie Charcuterie Board. It was a pretty standard charcuterie board. Highlight was the glazed pecans for me. For main, I got the mini pie combo, opting for the Aussie Meat Pie and Viet Philly. I liked both pies. The Aussie honestly tasted like a regular meat pie. I couldn't tell if there was marmite in there (then again, I've never had marmite before). The Viet Philly was the more flavorful of the two. The marinade of the beef definitely delivered on that traditional Pho flavor. To compliment everything, I did get two drinks. First was the mock-tai - tasted exactly like a mocktail without the alcohol. Then was another one of the seasonal drinks. This time, it was the Seasonal Depression. It was a cinnamon-based drink that I really enjoyed. Finally, to end the night, we got dessert. More specficially, we got ALL of the desserts. Literally. Simply put, all of them were absolutely delectable. My favorites were the cookies (chocolate chip and hot chocolate) and bread pudding. Last but not least, I have to mention the service. Every staff I've interacted with, on both visits, were exceptional. All in all, I'm looking forward to one day coming back for whatever occasion it may be.
