They didn't have a table for us right away but the manager Telis ( May have spelled his name wrong) was so patient and accommodating to us. The waitress was patient and answered all of our ridiculous questions about the food and she helped us order. I loved my salmon which was cooked to perfection and they were out of Mac & cheese so I got collard greens and a side of grits and smothered shrimp which was delightful. I love this place because of their chicken and waffles and their prices although they've went up a bit. The food is pretty good and well seasoned and their Mac and cheese is a customer favorite. However the place is kind of small and not always will you get the same service (sometimes better than others). Had the Chicken and Waffle combo. The red velvet waffle was actually pretty flavorful. It wasn't just a waffle with red color however the the Icing was minimal and a bit too thick. If they could either figure out how to make the waffle a bit more moist and or the icing/drizzle and bit more thin it would be a great combo. The wings however, I don't really know what to say about this... the drums were missing. I don't know if I missed this description on the menu but definitely wasn't expecting the oddity here. Nevertheless the flavor was good and came to the table hot considering I had already eating 1/2 my waffle before I got them after having realized I had ordered a combo and look around to find the bar area waitress to address to forgotten food. But he was In Miami so he got chicken and waffles he said it was alright me and my son ordered Grandma Bobbie (Brown Stew Chicken) with rice n peas for me. They gave me 2 thighs which I don't eat and the chicken tasted leftover along with the most nasty rice and peas. Honestly the chef that day should just called off because clearly they didn't want to work. I heard mixed reviews about this place but decided to give it a try. Food came out relatively quick .. I ordered the oxtails and grits which was very good, the oxtails were very flavorful and tender. My nephew (8yr old) ordered the fruity pebble waffle and enjoyed it but I personally think it tasted like flour and water. My friend ordered the chicken wings and waffle which he enjoyed the chicken and said the waffle was hard and blah. I did not try his waffle but I did try the chicken wings and they were very good. I can honestly say I enjoyed everything minus the waffles. They are lacking flavor completely and were too thick! I think they should honestly revamp their waffle recipes. Grandma Bobbie's Brown Stew chicken is so banging. For you Latinos it's the soul version of Pollo Guisado. Fried shrimp; also a banger and from what I'm told that oxtail is everything. The Mac and yams are my favorite. Yellow rice is good and so are the greens. You know the service is pretty good depending on who you get and how their day is going (we're all human and have lives of our own and are allowed to have off days) for the most part the staff are great. The music and vibes are good always something to make you dance in your seat while you eat. I had in OK experience here at iKrave the the parking was terrible, the service was just OK(more servers needed)... The food was good. I visited iKrave for the first time today. My first impression of walking in was a great experience placing a carryout order: friendly staff, clean environment, and neat decor. I ordered a large Oxtails dinner with collard greens and mashed potatoes. There were heaping portions of greens and potatoes, and they were flavorful. However: On the other hand, the Oxtails weren't so lucky to get a 3-star. They could have been flavorful. The sauce they were in was good, but the oxtail should have also been seasoned with flavor. They had fattily skin on them that I'd never tasted on Oxtails. I had to peel that off before I got to the meat. I wouldn't say I liked it. Secondly, when I got home, I viewed my receipt and noticed I'd been charged a "Non-Cash Adj " fee. What is that, and why could I not pay without being charged this "Fee"? Don't come here if your in a rush or want something on the go. Everybody at this location move when they want to. Anything you order will take over 40 minutes to make whether it's up or delivery they hold Uber drivers hostage as long as they take to serve orders. You can call 30 minutes prior to you arriving and will still have to wait an additional 30 minutes but they want you to pay for something that's not ready anytime soon. Good home cooked food in a quaint space. You can sit at the counter or at a table and receive service from a waiter. I ordered the fried pork chop special with collard greens and mash potatoes. I ordered the big boy breakfast my T-bone steak was supposed to be medium well and it was very overcooked my eggs were "watery" I don't see how you can mess up scrambled eggs I actually ordered over medium eggs which is another issue but decided not to go back to the restaurant, my grits were lumpy something so simple I don't see how they could mess that up. Although the restaurant was bustling with takeout orders and order pick ups our service was not impacted. Foodie Section: Our food was absolutely delicious. The Watermelon Drink was sweet and refreshing. The large Oxtail and Grits was exceptional! The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, very well seasoned, flavorful savory sauce - just wow! Pairing it with the smooth grits is genius and we will definitely be coming back to enjoy this dish again! The small Shrimp and Grits was superb too. The creamy, flavorful sauce had nice flavor and the perfect amount of spice and a nice amount of shrimp for the size of the portion! The Oreo Delight Waffle was also delicious! Overall, we enjoyed every dish we tried and cannot wait to return to try more of the items on the menu. COVID Section: We ate in, the table was cleaned before we sat down and spaced out from other tables to ensure physical distancing was observed. Individually wrapped plastic cutlery and straws as well as extra napkins were provided for the table. My husband and I went to try ikrave today (12/6/22). We wanted to support black business. We walk in and there are 3 employees and 1 seated customer finishing up their meal. As we stood at the register all 3 employees ignored us. We tried to place our order at the register and again we were ignored by the woman at the register. After a few minutes she asked if we were eating in or taking food to go. We replied that we were eating in and she told us to sit anywhere. We sat and continued to wait as employees walked by and ignored us. After timing to see how long it would take for someone to even greet us, we eventually left after an additional 6 minutes of being ignored. No one ever came to our table to take our order. We really wanted to try the food and support black business, but we will not give our hard earned money to a business that doesn't seem to care if we are there or not. read more

Service was as up and down as anybody could imagine. Me and a group of 3 sat down about 5-10 minutes before the lunch rush but we weren't even brought drinks until well after and we ordered before. All of us ORDERED the fried chicken tenders with a waffle, all of us ended up with chicken and a side of Mac plus green beans. This took ages to come out almost an hour when others got served before us but the food was really good. One waiter saw how long we waited and let us get two waffles for free and they were also great. The food was very cheap too , 4 of us ate full meals for 28 dollars total. So factoring in the price, quality and service this is indeed fun to go to but it definitely isn't one to go to for a quick bite. I would definitely go back if I were in the area but some new hires need to be brought in because many of the waiters are clueless. read more
