Pinch Kitchen & Bar is one of those spots that deserves a review, It's a true neighborhood staple in El Portal and honestly, Miami doesn't have enough places like this anymore. You walk in and immediately feel that local, unpretentious energy that's been missing from a lot of the scene. Do I love that it's on Biscayne? Not really. But the food more than makes up for it. For a bar-style environment, the food is consistently very good. Not just "good for a bar" ... like its actually good. The burger is a must (im pescatarian but my friend said it was delicious!) and their Eggs Benedict at brunch is easily one of my favorites in the area. Pair it with a Bloody Mary and you're set. their happy hour pricing is refreshingly reasonable, which is rare around here. I was talking to one of the bartenders and found out even their bread is made in-house. That kind of consistency and care, especially at these price points, is not easy to maintain and you can feel it in the food. It seems that their leadership (owner or manager, not totally sure) has always been present when I've gone and brings a great energy to the space. It trickles down to the staff and the overall vibe. You feel welcomed!!! I this is the kind of place that deserves real support. We discovered this restaurant unexpectedly when the diner we originally planned to visit had no available parking. While driving along Biscayne Boulevard, I searched Apple Maps for nearby brunch options, and Pinch Kitchen appeared just two blocks ahead of us. We were greeted with a big smile and warm welcome by Jonathan who also happened to be our server. The restaurant is small and quaint but the staff is very friendly and attentive. We started with the Focaccia Bread which was really delicious and I was told that it was made in-house so a big thumbs up to freshly baked bread of any kind! The drinks were really good too, I enjoyed an Espresso Martini which was yummy. For my meal I tried the Pasta Pomodoro, which was perfectly al dente and again, SUPER Delicious. My husband had the Pinch Burger and requested it Medium Rare. It was cooked to perfection. Sadly, we were much too full to try any desserts. I went out with my friends for brunch. The parking is right next to the restaurant. When I drove into the parking, there was a smiling friendly gentleman directing the traffic. Later we found out that he was a father of the owner. The food was reasonably priced and all my friends seemed impressed with food. This place is like going to your friend's house. My broccolini came out cold and soggy was not included with the fish I had to pay for that side. They used to have one of my favorite pieces of salmon I paid $87 for a martini, a small piece of salmon floating in butter skin on and a side of broccolini that was soggy a martini and a glass of wine. read more

So glad I saw this place on TT I already knew it existed, but I had forgotten about it sometime ago, and I was reminded that I needed to stop in. Everyone was so welcoming as soon as I walked in the chef/owner was even in shop. All of his staff had wonderful things to say about him and the establishment, including the food and although I had in mind what I wanted to eat, they made great recommendations. They also have happy hour, which is nice a brunch menu and a dinner menu. I ordered the fish sandwich fried and I was blown away. It doesn't look like much, but the staff explained to me that everything was homemade from scratch and you can definitely tell. I think the portions match the price and I'll definitely come back to try more things on the menu. Stopped by Pinch for brunch on a Sunday. Parking isn't immense but the father of the chef was outside and directed us where to park, which was very thoughtful and helpful. Service beyond that was just okay. I think they were just busy since it was brunch time so we waited quite a while to order, then quite a while again for the check. But that happens sometimes. When we did finally order and the food arrived, everything was delicious. I got the pinch burger which was really fantastic, as were the fries. I do not like the fact that.....Pinch has one of the best, most authentic caipirinhas in Miami! ARGH!!!! This fact, their great happy hour menu, delicious food and awesome service makes it hard to stay away! Have visited Pinch for happy hour a few times. Each has turned into transitioning from happy hour to dinner because the service, drinks and food are amazing and encourage lingering. The fresh chicharrones are outstanding. They hit the table, still crackling from the fryer. Then they snap, crackle and pop when the lemon juice gets drizzled over them. Then they crunch, ever so crunchily, when bitten. Perfection. The Pinch Croquetas are some of the best "restaurant version of a croquette" I've had! It's almost like a bite of a media noche but still with that traditional ham croquette flavor. Would love to eat the whole serving but they are rich, so great for sharing. Already mentioned the caipirinha, which is even made with natural sugar. *chefs kiss* But the Pinch Old Cuban? The Pinch Old Cuban???? A little life-changing, I fear! It's refreshing with just enough sweetness to balance it out. It's a drink that is so satisfying and deceptively strong! Off the regular menu, I've had the Pinch Burger and the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese. The Pinch Burger is one of the best burgers I've had in recent memory - flavor, textures, sturdy bun. Like, seriously. The tagliatelle was a true bolognese, not too heavy and a right-sized portion. I've had different servers on different visits and each were friendly, attentive (even when there was only one for the entire restaurant), very patient, helpful with the menu. I observed that each customer - whether new, returning or neighborhood regulars - gets the same treatment. Just awesome, all around. Happy hour prices are wonderful, of course! ($7 drinks and apps, Feb 2025) But the regular menu is also very fair pricing. Can't think of anything that feels "overpriced" on the menu, which is rare in Miami. Incredible little gem. I did not know this place existed. I'm huge on experiences and I decided to pick this place to be the lunch spot for two other girlfriends and I. We hadn't seen each other in a while and I wanted it to be a good time. DECOR: Very nice. You can tell that the outside is original (painted and all but still the original style). The inside was lovely, and nicely decorated. It felt a little tight but they maximized the space and made it work. They have parking in the back but it's limited. FOOD: Phenomenal. I got a burger and it was the biggest burger I've ever had and the juiciest and the thickest. Good stuff. Very filling and satisfying. One of my girlfriends got a vegan/vegetarian dish and they enjoyed it. They got cocktails and they said it was very good. I think she got a coffee martini. SERVICE: Perfect. We were well taken care of. We started planing our first girls trip and we're torn between a few countries. We wanted to get an unbiased point of view so we decided to ask our waitress. We turned it into like a 5-10min talk. She was a serial traveler and gave us some great suggestions and tips. CONCLUSION: I highly recommend this place. We came here for a 115 brunch reservation and we were immediately sat. There was ample amount of parking, which is nice because as you know in Miami parking can be very limited and be a turn off for a lot of dining establishments one thing I did like about this menu was that it was very southern base but also had a latin feel to it. They also have bottomless mimosas which were only $25 and they accommodated me because I had an allergy. There is a covered outdoor patio which is was a nice vibe, but it was just a tap bit too hot so we decided to sit indoors the food of course large portion sizes for the price and the quality was great. read more

I've driven by Pinch Kitchen several times and have thought "I want to check it out". I finally did and was so glad! I've already come back twice in two weeks so that should tell you how good it is! It's a cute spot by the Miami Shores area with convenient free parking in the back. You have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as at the bar area. The staff is super kind and provides good service. We ordered the Mahi Mahi sandwich - it comes on a brioche bun with pikliz, tomato, lettuce and a side of house made fries. This sandwich is perfectly delicious and the fries are so so fresh. I ordered a side of garlic aioli which was also tasty. We also ordered the broccolini. It is one of the best broccolini's I've had. The flavors with the fresh garlic and balsamic is amazing. We've gotten an IPA and a gin cocktail before and both have been really good. I love the decor and layout of the restaurant. It truly makes it welcoming and comfortable. They also offer brunch during the weekends which I want to try! Prices are fair and portions are good. You can really taste how fresh everything is. Do not miss this special place tucked into Miami Shores. What a special spot. The food is really, really yummy. The balance in the flavor of the food brings the feelings of a great home cooked meal served with a dose of love. My sister chose this place for a family event. We had a price fixe menu so we got to sample some of the best dishes on the menu. From the croquettas to the focaccia, were great starters. The mahi sandwich and French fries were fresh and well cooked. Served with the crispiest of fries.. and I like nothing better than crispy fries. So few people really get that right.On to the the eggs Benedict with more yummy potatoes which had such a nice balance with the egg the chicken sausage and the bread. Still not to be outdone was the final course of the stuffed French toast...OMG how delish was this. Instead of the bread pudding for dessert I saved the French toast with a side of the thyme ice cream. Such a nice surprise as it was sweet and savory and put such a nice finish on the entire meal and gathering. The owners were so awesome to work with and they really wanted our family gathering to be special. AND IT WAS. The staff was so pleasant and accommodating. Such a relaxed and comfortable place to eat. I went on a rainy day for lunch and it had the great service and all the right dishes for the ooey gooey, crunchy, juicy, crispy cravings. They have cocktails for $15-18 and glasses of wine for $12, and a glass of lightly fruited Sauvignon Blanc in a thick walled glass with the lunch was what I needed to ease myself out of the hectic day. The restaurant looks like someone's cabin was modified to hold tables and chairs. They have various trinkets, framed pictures, paintings decorating the walls and corners of the place, giving it that homely feel. It must have been especially noticeable because of the rainy day and the decided day to enjoy company and conversation. We shared the Spicy Brussels sprouts ($10) which was sizable despite being a side dish, plenty to share. The crisp and slight char of the Brussels sprouts was so satisfying with the savory slightly spicy seasoning. I got an Impossible burger ($18) with Swiss cheese (+$2) which was freaking incredible. They charred the edges of the Impossible patty, which I didn't even know was possible, so that I had a nice crunch to the patty with every bite along with the crunch of the potato sticks that were inside, between a fluffy pretzel bun (swoon). It's so hard to find pretzel bun burgers, much less ones I would want to eat, and I found mine here. I would wholeheartedly recommend this burger to any meat eating diner and dare them to find something wrong with it! Especially because the house cut fries that come with the burger are chef's kiss superb. They're superbly crispy but light and not greasy and nicely salted to go with a dip of ketchup. What I liked to see is that they offer a few brunch items on their lunch menu so that you can pretend like it's the weekend if you're having a weekday lunch. They also do not charge different prices for the same dishes during lunch vs. dinner, which I feel is a common practice with restaurants, so I don't feel at a disadvantage if I return for dinner. Service was great despite it being clear that one or two servers only were staffing the floor. We were never waiting or missing items for very long. The restaurant has a laid-back atmosphere. Our waitress was super nice, courteous, and attentive. As I mentioned, I would give her 5 stars. We ordered the croquetas upfront. We didn't love them and didn't finish them. Here's what we ordered for our entrees: - Chicken tenders with fries for my son. When I cut them open, they still looked very pink inside aka raw. The waitress agreed they shouldn't be like that and made the kitchen re-do them. The fries were crispy and good - The Pinch Burger for my husband. Their burger was once voted one of the best burgers in Miami but he thought it was pretty mediocre - Faroe Salmon for me. I LOVED this dish. It came in a buttery lemon sauce with sautéed tomatoes. Absolutely delicious and perfect serving size For dessert, we got the chocolate bread pudding with their thyme ice-cream to share. Unfortunately, we didn't like it at all. Normally, bread puddings have a soft, gooey and thick texture with a cinnamon taste. Usually they are served warm and go together perfectly with ice-cream. After a recommendation on tik tok I had to try Pinch Kitchen. It was a Sunday afternoon and we were able to score 8 seats at 3pm . We arrived a little early and sat at the bar. They were busy when we arrived with one table leaving soon. Some got drinks and we cooled down. Once seated we were given menus and the waitress took our orders. She was helpful but sort of got things messed up. When the food came it was good. The house made hot sauce and aioli are great! The burger was tasty as well. My only complaint is that when the bill came we never actually saw it and the waitress never made us aware that the tip was included in our final price. She just handed the machine for us to pay but ot also had additional tip and some were confused. I think clarity was needed because some people ended up double paying the 20 percent tip. I came here for a girl's day brunch on a Sunday. Of course we had to get the $25 bottomless mimosa deal which is for 1.5 hours and they will bring mimosa pitchers to start. The service was wonderful and we were able to enjoy the truly "bottomless" experience! We ordered the gambas Al ajillo and bbq pork belly to start - the shrimp was delicious with a garlic sauce and Cuban bread on the side to dip. The pork belly had really nice flavors but sometimes had very fatty pieces to bite into. We then ordered the pinch burger and chicken sandwich to share. The burger was delicious and so was the chicken sandwich - they make their coleslaw made to order, so it is very fresh and there is a nice kick to it! The fries were also the perfect consistency. This place is adorable! I didn't eat brunch here but I saw others entrees and they looked insane, definitely a shareable size. We ordered the pork belly appetizer which was phenomenal and they added chicharrón flakes on top adding a nice crunch. Everyone in my party ordered the infamous burger and while it was tasty I felt so gross eating it because it was just too greasy for me. It comes with an egg and aoli on top.
