Philly Roll Sushi

They had the best Edamame I've ever had, the Philly Roll was amazing and the miso soup was great. Fast service too, food came out in like 10min max.

Came to Ikiiki on Wednesday night and the place was pretty packed! Most tables full, but only 2 people working so we did wait a while to be greeted/order taken (not a huge deal). I would definitely come back to try other menu items! We got two rolls and an entree to split. The sea turtle cucumber roll was fresh, and absolutely delicious. This one exceeded my expectations (they were low when I saw it was just wrapped in cucumber lol). The ocean city tempura roll was also tasty, pretty standard tempura style roll. The Singapore chow foon was amazing and the shrimp was perfect! This place would 100% be the perfect spot for take out, date night, or even a solo dinner!

My new favorite regular sushi spot Ikiiki Sushi has quickly become one of our new favorite places for sushi. The prices are reasonable, the food is great, the atmosphere is small and welcoming. It's right off Queen Anne Ave on the top of the hill in a quieter are. We LOVE the Sea Turtle roll - it's so unique with no rice, and cucumber on the outside. Great low carb option, and something different I've never seen anywhere else!! The Cherry Blossom roll is also amazing. The presentation is super pretty and actually looks like a flower! We also got the Samurai, Spider, and Crunchy Spicy Salmon roll which were all good. I love that they have a huge variety on the menu - lots of noodle options, soups, fried rice, vermicelli noodles, pho, pad Thai, udon, meat main dishes etc... So it's not just sushi, they have a huge menu!! Definitely need to go back and try the other stuff!

Spicy Tuna Ten Sushi

On our travels we hit up the nearest sushi spot to our Air BnB after getting off a late flight. I ordered some sake && waited for the miso soup that NEVER CAME - you guys can understand how deviating that is to me! BUT I got over that. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Prawns (crispy) - she asked how spicy, obvi I ordered the spiciest - but it was just a hint of spice due to the jalapeños that were fried with the white & green onions. And the shrimp were NOTHING special. I also ordered the Spicy tuna ten roll because I just trigger ordered when I should of just got sashimi... but oh well it was okay. I don't usually order fried sushi, must of missed that in the description. The husband ordered a spicy tuna roll which was a little better but NO flavor. He also ordered the House "Special" Fried Rice which there was nothing special about it. He had to pour soy sauce all over it to even make it taste like much.. overall wasn't the worst... but I've had better.

Casual little spot for a quick fix of Japanese. Typical selection of Sashimi & Rolls available along with Udon & Sukiyaki. Basic drinks of soda, tea, and Hot or Cold Sake. Server was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Local family business. #shopsmall #shoplocal

Sushi of several rolls!

Fantastic sushi and service. I dined in here. So thankful I did. It's very tasty and delightful. I'm so glad I got it. It's been consistent too. I've gone three times and each time it's been good. The fish is always very clean tasting.

Classic fried rice (with chicken) SO GOOOD ITS SCRUMPTIOUS

Food is spectacular, however when i tried to pay they gave me another persons order and credit card, if I wanted to i could have tooken someones credit card.

Tea

I love Ikiiki! They are friendly, quick, and don't rush you out the door. I love their tea, edamame, and sushi. Great for take out or sitting down. They have a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere as well.

The chicken katsu had some of the freshest, most tender chicken cutlets I have ever had. The sauce was divine. The miso was also great.

A tiny place with big portion and authentic food…read more We came here on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was almost fully packed. I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He looked through the entire menu and said there weren't many things he could order (listen, people, choose your future SO accordingly if you like sharing big meat dishes). He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking. Sitting there and listening to the background music from the Hong Kong TV news, I felt like a kid again.

Quick service, free hot tea in plastic cups (a classic), and chili oil at the table. Ask for white pepper btw! Depending on your taste, I like adding white pepper to my fried rice, chow fun, and soup. Wonton soup: the wontons are huge and filled with pork and shrimp. The soup however was kind of sour? Not sure what they added in, but the flavor of the broth was not my favorite. There's so much good wonton soup in the area! I wish this broth was better and more savory. Beef chow fun: pretty tasty and the beef was pretty tender. There was no work hei, so didn't have that distinct flavor Half chicken bone in: this was surprisingly our favorite dish! Steamed chicken with a ginger oil. The ginger made this dish and the chicken was very tender. The chicken comes cold so eat it with some rice and it's the perfect combo

The Chow Mein had a wonderful Wok Hei flavor and the chicken was juicy and tender. It was our favorite of the dishes. The Mixed Basket Xiao Long Bao was super fun to be able to try them all and pick your favorites. Mine was the wagyu beef, the original pork and the truffle. I was kind of sad that they didn't include soy vinegar and chili oil. I feel that those things enhance the Xiao Long Bao. The Lychee Sweet & Sour Pork Tenderloin I was most excited about. Unfortunately, it was the worst dish. The flavor was great. I love that it had lychee in it, but the breading was mush, and the pork was so hard and overcooked. It was inedible. Because of that dish and not including the condiments is my three star review.

The wontons were good, but the chili sauce was the star. It was numbing and a little minty feeling. It was really great over the fried rice, which didn't stand out to me but was good to pair the dishes with. The crab and pork soup dumplings were sooo tasty, I would definitely get them again. The prawns we got were also great, I really enjoyed the crunchy coating and extras that came with it. I really enjoyed the space and food, I will definitely be coming back!

I had been meaning to check Tai Tung out, and having a group is a great opportunity to try a variety of dishes family style. We ordered the fried chicken wings, half peking duck, beef chow fun, beef in oyster sauce (Bruce Lee's favorite), crab fried rice, and noodles with tofu (one girl had to be healthy!) The food was solid and nostalgic. It reminded me of the kind of Chinese food I would get in the 80s and 90s when we went out for Chinese food in New Jersey. We stayed, talking, until the restaurant closed. As my friends packed up and said their goodbyes, the staff noticed me looking around at the different tables. I wanted to find Bruce Lee's favorite table, which I had seen on online reviews of Tai Tung. The staff member very proudly brought us all into the next room, turned on the lights, showed us the photos on the wall, and told us about the history. We got a history and culture lesson with our meal. Best of all, our friends all congratulated me on the "great find!" of a restaurant, and isn't that the kind of validation every Yelper wants?
