I was pleasantly surprised with the food at Ikea's restaurant! First off... the prices are very low... the swedish meatballs meal is only $5 and the salmon fillet meal was only $7. The swedish meaballs dish came with 8 swedish meatballs, lingonberries, vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a cream sauce... yes... ALL OF THAT! Not only was the portion pretty hearty, but the food was actually pretty good! The meatballs were not dry and the flavors across the board were good. The salmon fillet included wheat pilaf, hollandaise sauce, and a soup or salad (we chose soup). The salmon was also soft and moist and the flavors and seasons were pretty good too, especially for being only $7. I was able to try both the broccoli cheddar and chicken vegetable with rice soups and neither of them really stood out to me. They were just okay. When keeping in mind how cheap the food is, Ikea's restaurant serves up solid food/value for the price! Now, if the prices of the food were higher... I would give only 3 stars. Grab a couple trays and a food tray cart and try this place out and take a break from your Ikea shopping endeavors. read more

IKEA kitchen, clean your fountains and your glasses. Coffee mugs that are stained with debris, racks of glasses supposedly clean with napkins in them, and bugs in your fountain machine because no one is cleaning the nozzles is not good. It's gross, and after spending 5K with your store, I don't expect gourmet, but I do expect cleanliness. Tables, silverware, chairs...CLEAN THEM! read more

The food is amazing here! One of the things people just go to the store for. That being said the restaurant is always busy. Lunch or dinner time, forget it! The staff is friendly and service is fast. You pick up what or how much you want and go to the register to pay. Reminds me of a high school cafeteria set up. Love the Swedish meatballs, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and salmon dishes here. Love love love. I wish built 2 cafes (serving the same kind of food) in this store as it's a much larger Ikea than most! read more

If you're in IKEA already, this is a decent place to grab a quick bite. The food is tolerable, but I would not choose to come here if given a choice. My wife and toddler love the meatballs, but the mashed potatoes taste like they come from a box, and the rest of the food is no better, while some of it, including the desserts and soups, are pretty bad. I'd never suggest someone visit IKEA specifically to eat, even though my family seems to want to do just that on a regular basis. read more

Went to IKEA awhile back to pick up some cookies and decided to hit the cafe for lunch around 2:30PM. I saw a Swedish Meatball special advertised and had to try it. Well, they were definitely as advertised - tasted a little like the ones I loved at a Danish restaurant I worked at in HS. And reasonable priced as well - part of a combo special that was offered. What I didn't like was that getting the food took forever as they were out of some things (such as the kind of soup I really wanted). Then I went up to get my soft drink - guess what - no ice in the machine. I'll be back at some point - hopefully on a better day when I can get everything I want without the cafe running out of it! read more

We stopped in for a quick bite for dinner from the IKEA restaurant inside IKEA Fishers location. What can I say... My kiddo saw IKEA and said "let`s go get some Swedish meatballs." I said let's go. We went on a weekday around 6 pm. If you aren't familiar with the IKEA restaurant, it is basically a nice version of a cafeteria. The food is very reasonably priced, especially the kids meals. We love the Swedish meatball meal. Atmosphere is well.. it's IKEA. After you eat, you can window shop and walk off a few of the calories. read more

There is a kiosk at the front of the store where you can sign up for the family discount card. Its free and gives you discounted things on specific items. You can use the family discount at the food area. They usually have a daily family discount dish with the use of your family discount card. I tried the Swedish meatballs. It was good but after 15 minutes I didnt feel so great. I felt dizzy and had a headache. I think there was too much MSG in it. I was soooo thirsty after eating it. They had a lot of other food options and the seating area is made for large families so people can sit together. If I go back I think I'll try a different dish. read more

SWEDISH MEATBALLS! Seriously, I don't even know what it is...maybe it's the gravy. Amazing. You can even buy a bag of frozen meatballs and the gravy mix at the little market downstairs. Make sure you buy that gravy if you do . I would rate higher, but this is the only thing I have ever tried since I am a creature of habit and become obsessed with things immediately. I'm pretty lucky I don't have a horrible addiction yet, key work there yet. Unless you count food...then I'm screwed. read more

The family went here on a Wednesday afternoon. We went though the giant revolving door and said "hello" to the lady worker standing there "for some reason" which sure wasn't greeting customers because she completely ignored us at first I thought that was strange and maybe she was having a bad day maybe not as the sadsack attitude was running amuck through out the store. Ikea provides an hour of free childcare to customers and the lady's at the "Smaland" were great and our boys had a great time! We found some cool things for the house. Idk, Ikea is a cool store but this one must not be any fun to work at. read more

What a hidden gem. Go straight to the third floor for the most reasonable, yet healthy food. Many options are available, even on the children's menu. Great salads, fresh salmon, and don't forget the sides and desserts. Daim cake is not to be missed. Food is good, and employees are so kind and helpful. They helped my sister make choices, since she is vegan. Overall great experience. Love their coffee and the half and half machine, too. read more

I was highly impressed. GREAT value for the money, these kinds of deals on food don't exist anymore. Plus every menu item had allergen information listed under the picture of it , great job Ikea! There is no such thing as a complete dinner with drink and VEGETABLES for $8 outside of Ikea. Yes vegetables, a term unheard of to Americans when it comes to quick dining such as this. This was comfort food at its finest, and I appreciated the vegetarian option I had (vegetarian "balls"). I added a piece of yummy garlic bread for a mere like 60 cents and I loved the juice options (ligonberry, mmm, not super sweet pop or juices like all Americans tend to gravitate to). It was late on Sunday afternoon and I wanted something cheap and somewhat healthy (i.e. not fast food) and the first place I thought of was IKEA. I guess IKEA was on the brain after receiving the new catalog in the mail the other day. My bf got the Swedish meatball dinner and I got the buffalo chicken wrap. I should have gotten the meatballs as well because the wrap was super dry and not really good. Mine came with chips and a drink and his came with a salad and drink. The meatballs were good but you could tell that they were just frozen and heated up. It was closer to closing time and so a lot of the condiments were empty. Drinks are unlimited but they are served in a glass so you can't just take it with you and walk around the store. Oh, and no straws which kinda skeeved me out. I really love this location! I am also a fan of Ikea products and after visiting this place I am more impressed and love their brand so much. The food here was so good, it is decent, and amazingly served. They have some fried chicken, meatballs, pasta, and others. All of it is so incredibly delicious in such a reasonable prices. This IKEA offers a large portion of fresh food. Their serving is so right. Their employees are so friendly, helpful, and professional. They are always willing to help all of their customers and give all the things that their customers need. Such an attentive workers. This IKEA's location is so easy to find, they are so near to other well-known places around, and also you can visit their store anytime you want. Their place is so huge, always clean, and they have big parking lot. You can walk and tour yourself around before or after eating. IKEA has the famous meatballs that many people love. Their desserts are also phenomenal and beverages as well. IKEA deserves a 5-star! Besides of their popular brand, they also have amazing food, awesome staff, and their place is so relaxing and has a great vibe. Thank you IKEA! Will go back again soon. Believe it or not, IKEA is a decent option when it comes to getting a gluten free meal. I have eaten at this location twice with my mom, who suffers from celiac disease and is intensely allergic to wheat -- both times, she has been very happy with her meal. The employees are very helpful when it comes to offering information about each dish, and there are binders available with allergy guidelines and ingredients for everything being served in the cafe. From salad dressings to salmon to side dishes, my mom was able to make informed choices and get a nice gluten free meal (I myself do not need to eat gluten free and so feasted on Swedish meatballs). This kind of experience is very unusual since most restaurants -- especially those smack in the middle of a shopping environment -- are unable to accommodate such an extreme allergy. Ikea is great for both a quick lunchtime treat or cheap dinner. However, it is at its best during it quarterly holiday dinners. To attend, you must buy your tickets in advance at the cafe; nevertheless, it is worth it! Those dinners feature salad, herring, WHOLE salmon, sides, and of course the signature meatballs! read more

Love this place! Only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because it can be a bit overwhelming and crowded. But that my own issue and not a negative on the store. I'd probably find it easier to navigate if it weren't so crowded. Customer service is awesome! Really helpful & easy. FYI - delivery charges are about 3-4x more expensive if ordering online than if you go into the store. Shockingly, their restaurant has vegan options! Besides the vegetarian meatballs (not sure if vegan but I love that they're offering this option), they now offer a veggie wrap that IS vegan. AND they do not do their potatoes in the same fryer as the chicken fingers or other meat items. So I was a happy girl. We purchased a sofa from here as a simple studio sofa till we bought a house. But after we bought our house, we purchased sofas at higher end stores. We still kept the ektorp ikea sofa in the guest room. 10yrs later, we're getting rid of our higher end stir sofas and still keeping the ikea one. It's the most comfy sofa we have after all this time. Tons of accessories. It's so much that it can be overwhelming. But I could easily spend an entire day walking. My only suggestion - offer almond milk in the cafe as an alternative to half and half. The food here is pretty tasty however the froyo is too bad. It tastes like ice cream with no flavor. Recommend the meatball here. Also recommend for quick meal when you shop here. A plus is self-service and the dining area is nice and friendly for family. read more

I just ate here and was literally throwing up in their bathroom an hour later. I had a chicken sandwich. They made it seem like a strenuous task when I asked for cheese on it. Very disorganized. The man who looked (and acted) like the soup Nazi from Seinfeld was grumpy even to his coworkers. I'm not exaggerating. My stomach was in knots and I was puking in the bathroom. Pouring sweat and completely pale. Horrible horrible horrible. My husband also feels sick but not like how I got it. I tried finding a manager but when I approached anyone they seemed to look the other way and I was too sick to deal. The ciabatta bread was kind of hard and stale (bottom piece literally broke apart and crumbled).. I liked the fries- however that was the only common food between my husband and myself so since he also feels sick, I'm wondering if it was from them? It's 8 hours later. My stomach is still horrible. I will never eat there again and I advise against it. You don't want to read this review later and wish you listened. I was almost crying in pain. A trip to Ikea is a whole day event for us now. My wife and I can never stick to our shopping list and we invariably end up eating here, just to re-energize for more walking and shopping. This time around, we ordered the chicken tenders with french fries and Chicken meatballs with mashed potatoes and beans. We skipped dessert because we knew we were going to get their ice-cream on the way out. Cost-wise, it was pretty inexpensive, especially with the amount of food we got. We ended up force-feeding ourselves! I've had their Swedish meatballs before, and, I agree that they are definitely worth raving about. Even the chicken ones. The sides especially their mashed potatoes and fries complimented their dishes perfectly. I wasn't sold on their beans, but then again, I'm not huge into veggies. They do have perks such as kids eating free on Tuesdays and deals for Ikea Family Members (which is free to sign up).This is truly a great mid-shopping break setup, and definitely adds to the Ikea shopping experience. read more

The foods consistently good and has a decent rotation that keeps the selections from getting stale. We sometimes go out of our way to eat here. My only complaint is recently they removed all their soft drinks and replaced them with choices that are either underwhelming and dull or just plain boring. I wasn't a fan of the Pepsi and Mountain Dew (gross) that they had before but these new choices are hardly an improvement. read more

The only reason this Ikea gets two stars is because the reasonable pricing. Rating the "customer service", or lack there of, I would rate them 1 star. I've been to this Ikea 4 times within the last two weeks. Every single visit it's the same thing. Every employee I've come into contact with is miserable. Absolutely miserable. From being snide to rude to condescending to defensive, it's utterly depressing going to this store. Everyone looks like they hate working there. Any hope to get a smile or acknowledgement as a customer patronizing the store-don't gold your breath. From the manager in the cabinetry department to the return section girl and the furniture pick up department guys...all of them are awful. The only good experience I had with Ikea was when I got my stuff delivered. Then again, I think they contract out their delivery service. In my opinion, this type of consistent behavior from employees start from the top. So my assumption would be that management absolutely is miserable as well. Save yourself the depressing experience and gas money and order stuff online for delivery. read more
