With the food available here, there is hardly any reason to go to a Russian restaurant -- as most of the dishes you would have ordered are probably available here. The flavor in many cases are as good or sometimes even better than other local Russian restaurants. In particular, there are certain items that really stand out for me: - Split pea soup: Very rich and flavorful, I feel like there's ham or some other element adding flavor - Buckwheat: Prepared well as a side to accompany any entree - Cutlets: A little bready, but the texture and size is great - Vinegret: Tastes fresh and has a slightly crisp texture to it - Kabobs: Nice charcoal flavor infused, I particularly enjoyed the chicken - Fried potatoes: I feel there's probably lard infused into it, but it's very tasty and with a generous portion.
