Chicken crepes with mushroom sauce - A folded crepe is presented on a black rectangular plate, topped with a creamy mushroom sauce that contains sliced mushrooms and herbs. The crepe appears golden and thin, with the sauce generously covering the top and slightly spilling over the edges. The dish is garnished with chopped green herbs, adding color contrast. The background shows a wooden table surface.

Tried their mushroom soup and Golubtsi (Veal and rice Stuffed Cabbage Leaves) this time. Oh my gosh! Both are really good. And it's just down the road from where I work. If you like Polish or other Eastern European cuisine give them a try. And get the soup

Restaurant and bar - The image shows the interior of a restaurant with a wooden bar counter displaying glasses, bottles, and decorative plants. There are black chairs around tables with green placemats, and a small TV mounted on a wooden-paneled wall. The ceiling is black with recessed lighting, and the overall decor includes wood accents and modern furnishings.

My 5 year old and I visited for an early dinner. Good was amazing! Cute place, great service. Try their infused vodkas. Even my son pounded his food. I would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

The image shows a cafe counter with a large wooden sign displaying 'ZBANOK' and 'Ukrainian' in smaller letters. The counter has a plant and a pumpkin hat as decorations. Behind the counter are digital screens for ordering, framed pictures on the wall, and a textured wall with a green hedge on the right side. The setting appears modern with black and white tiles and bar stools in front.

There are very few Ukrainian restaurants in the suburbs, so we were excited when we saw this one. Very hard to find due to lack of signage in a strip mall. Fortunately , a Ukrainian flag was displayed in the window to guide us. We walked in and there were no customers in the small restaurant, and there was no one to greet us. We heard noises from the kitchen, so after waiting, I thought I would say "hello". A lady worker came out of the kitchen, and we asked if we could sit anywhere. Menus were available via QR code. The waitress did not speak english, so ordering was a bit of pointing at the menu on our phones. My husband speaks a little Ukranian so he was able to communicate. We ordered the neet salad, chicken with potatoes, dumplings and Golubtsi (stuffed cabbage). Each dish was freshly prepared , but came out one dish at a time. Portions were not very large and lunch for two was over $75 , including one soda. Food was good, experience was not very welcoming or customer friendly.

Salo. Smoked and salted bacon, ham, salami, and spicy mustard. Add vodka shots for full experience.

Interior very well done with an authentic euro Cafe feel. The food is spot on with "Like mom prepared" taste. The owners have broken English, but they are very nice, so be patient and expect delicious food with generous portions.

You know, hubby and I have known about this restaurant since we moved to Schaumburg 2 1/2 years…read moreago, but besides pierogies, we really had no idea what Polish food was all about. It was time to try. We expected a bit of a hole in the wall and that's not what we found - we found a very nicely decorated and maintained restaurant with a lot of dark wood overtones - we were seated immediately and given an extensive menu. I ordered a Polish beer, and we ordered a Polish plate - kind of a combination sampler plate if you will - and a ground pork cutlet dinner. Now before we could say anything? Some bread showed up with a lovely but lightly flavored hummus type spread- we enjoyed it because it also came with a nice big half sized pickle. When the Polish plate came? OMG we had sauerkraut - we had sausage - we had some pierogies, and when the pork cutlet came out? It literally covered the entire plate and was resting on a bed of freshly mashed potatoes. We shared the Polish plate and we shared the extremely large pork cutlet. Now to be fair? We loved the Polish plate immensely - while the cutlet was nicely breaded, and the mashed potatoes were great? I'm not certain I could say that about the pork cutlet. There was nothing wrong with it. I think the flavor was fine, but it was not something that I would order again. It just wasn't my taste that's all. So would we come again? Yes. Yes we would!

It's halal, super clean, and the staff? Genuinely some of the kindest and warmest people you'll meet. You can tell they really care about their space and their food -- gloves, masks, and great hospitality all around. The vibe inside is lowkey but elegant, great for a quiet night out or a new food experience with friends or family. The menu reflects a wide variety of authentic dishes -- some comforting, others bold and new depending on your palate. Pelmeni (dumplings): Very strong in flavor, not what I'm typically used to. The texture might take some getting used to -- I wasn't the biggest fan, but my friend loved it. Plov: So flavorful and hearty -- slightly on the greasy side but still really satisfying. Manty: If you're into juicy, steamed dumplings, this is the move. The spices are deep and warming. Honey Cake: Hands down one of my favorites. Soft, lightly sweet, and melts in your mouth -- definitely a must-try. If you're into exploring lesser-known cuisines or just want a meal that feels like a journey across cultures, Jannat is a beautiful stop. It's an experience more than just a dinner, and you can feel the passion behind the dishes.

Decided to try Pirosmani and SO glad we did . It's located in a strip mall in Wheeling . There are a few bar stools to eat your food there but if you have a big crowd, plan on taking your food to go. The girl in front was very helpful telling us what things are and what they are made of . If things are served hot or cold . We picked out a few things to try and not one of them were bad ! The cheese pie, the two rolled up eggplants , the chicken kabab, corn cakes, the chicken sandwich, and even the fun pops were all delicious . Today is my birthday so I wanted to try something different and new and so happy I did . Another girl came out from the back and chatted with us. Both girls were so sweet and helpful. They informed us the place next door is owned by the same person s, which is another Georgian restaurant, so we will be visiting them next . They gave me this dried fruit and nut log for my birthday for free too. Only thing was they didn't have the cheese and egg "bowl" or the dumplings to eat there they were ready to bring home frozen though . But that wasn't enough to take away a start .

It's a small and cute shop, but there's so much to choose from. I wasn't very hungry so I decided to order three small items. I got the Georgian Cookie, Cottage Cheese Cookie with Walnut and Meringue, and the Syrniki. The Syrniki was PHENOMENAL and a dream. The outside is golden brown and the inside is so fluffy, the flavor was outstanding and made me want to savor every last morsel. My second favorite was the Georgian Cookie, which had a beautifully rich, nutty, and buttery flavor. The Cottage Cheese Cookie was great, but it was my least favorite of the three. I did come back here the next day and I ordered a Golden Raisin Syrniki (it was perfect in taste but could use more raisins), the Penovani (it was delicious and I was lucky when it just came out hot), and the Potato Pie (which I liked the least but it was still good). Overall, this is a great place to try and I highly recommend it. I'll be coming back

The stuffed cabbage was better than I expected, and that mushroom sauce was so good! My friend ordered it with the tomato sauce and that was very good as well. The dumplings were amazing paired with the sauce. The atmosphere is super cozy! I loved it. It feels like you're in a log cabin. Great ambiance. Service was excellent.
