You're offered complimentary Pita Bread as a starter. We ordered the Pelmeni, Chicken Kabob, Plov, Fruit Tea, Zavarnye, and Honey Cake. Everything was yummy! Nice trio of super interesting staff from central Asia. I had fun learning about who they were and the new culture they are about, similar to Mongolian but not... The decor is pretty and Mediterranean Greece vibes for me... and the menu is refreshingly different! There are some things that seem familiar but others that I have never heard about, and that IS unusual. Nice EurAsian restaurant in Rolling Meadows catering to a population that is underserved in the area. They are on a corner with plenty of parking. The restaurant is really nice and clean, along with delicious food. This is a new restaurant in Rolling Meadows and has a great selection of kabobs, doner, Asian, and soups! We tried quite a bit as first timers and were very pleased. We tried yogurt with beetroot and I absolutely loved it! It was served with bread that wasn't a pita, but worked well with it. We also had the Kazak Beef Soup and the portion is enormous. I suggest sharing the soups or having that as a full meal. The bowls are really for sharing, even though they say it's for one person. The noodles in the soup were thin and flat, also made in-house, not from a box. You can absolutely taste it's being homemade. The other entrée was Gan Fan, a beef with rice and Asian taste to it. It was a beautiful dish and plenty for sharing. Finally we finished off with a honey cake and it wasn't as sweet as expected. Accompanied by mint tea, our dessert was a delicious way to finish off. I know this is a somewhat new restaurant. It's located in an old Taco Bell building so they have their own parking lot. First things first, I'll have to deduct some stars. The service overall was mid. That definitely needs to be improved. After we got seated and looked over the menu, it took a bit of time before the server came to us. No problem. She pretty much disappeared and it was the guy that was mostly tending to us. It wasn't busy so I know they weren't swamped. The service needs to be more attentive like asking if you need any boxes, are you interested in some desserts, and taking our plates away before dessert. Unfortunately, I give this place an overall 2.5/5. It's like a one and done for me unless the service and food quality is immensely improved. -complimentary bread 5/5 - shaped like two slices of pizza. Bread was soft and tasted great with the butter. -Turkish tea 5/5 - 0.99 and free refills. It's good hot tea for dinner. -haydari 3 - nice, creamy texture for the yogurt sauce with herbs, goes well with the bread. However, they gave us 4 small pieces of bread for a big plate of sauce. They should have given a better ratio of bread to sauce. They didn't give us a spoon or anything with it. -pelmeni soup 5/5 - i really like soup. Very savory although he gave us a sauce without explaining what to do with it with the soup. Broth was very flavorful. Ground beef inside the dumplings were cooked to perfection. -lamb kuurdak 2 - lamb could have been softer and more juicy. It was a little dry. Potatoes were soft and tasty. -boso lagman 3 - noodles had a good chewy texture. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of beef in the dish. There is more meat in the picture than what you get. -manty 5/5 - best main dish. Generous portion size. Big pieces of bed inside. Not too salty. -honey cake 5/5 - wasn't too sweet. I was fortunate to be able to visit Jannat Restaurant on the second day of opening. It's run by the owners of Arzan Cafe in Chicago. Jannat offers both Uzbek and Turkish cuisine. When you first arrive here, it may look strange from the outside, but don't judge a book by its cover. This location used to be a Taco Bell, so the building has that look to it and the drive-thru lane is still there. The inside is nicely done, though. Nice white tables and chairs, nice ceiling work, and plenty of natural light. There was no music playing, but since it's a big open space, I wonder if it would get loud in there during very busy times. Service was friendly, and I love the fact that the menu included photos of the dishes for those not familiar with the cuisine. We ordered a tandor samsa, boso lagman, and chuchvara. The tandor samsa was kind of a flop. The bread was hard and dry (I think it got overcooked), so part of it was unedible. The meat inside was decent, though. The boso lagman was a noodle dish with beef and vegetables. At first it looked like spaghetti, but the noodles were top-notch. Great texture and the right amount of chewiness. Good flavor in this dish, although some of the meat pieces were a bit tough. The chuchvara was the star of the show today. This is a soup dish with mini dumplings. The dumplings were soft and meaty, and the broth was super flavorful. The veggies were cooked to perfection; soft but not mushy. And there was extra meat within the soup broth. Very hearty dish and perfect for a cold day. Pricing was fair. Please note they serve water in bottles and charge for those. Can't wait to come back and try some other dishes to further compare Jannat with Chinar and Anjir. read more

Nice people, clean. My concern is that I order Chuchvara and a Turkish Donor wrap for take out. Once I got checked into the hotel this Chuchvara looked nothing like the "soup" I had ordered and so looking forward to. Just had a delicious dinner at Jannat! We were so excited to go since we had tried their free samples after the 4th of July parade. We had the haydari to start, and my sister and I split two mains: boso lagman and shawarma wrap chicken. Both were incredibly flavorful and the portions were very generous. We ate the wrap first and only had a little of the boso lagman because we were so full! I definitely need to go back to try their dessert. I was extremely pleased, so much that I decided to bring my granddaughter, who has eaten the same type of food in Morocco. Such a disappointment! The food was good enough, but...My granddaughter's order was brought out quickly--mine followed about 20 minutes later, although I had asked about it several times. You go to a restaurant to share, not to watch someone else eat! When I finally got my order, it was not as described. I specifically ordered the assorted grill because I wanted grilled vegetables, not french fries, along with the meats. No veggies. They said the menu was wrong. Then they should have corrected it. I ordered Ramadan Iftaar set, came with Caesar Salad, Chicken Kebob and soup, additionally I ordered plov , bread and baklava. Chicken kebob were made from chicken thighs while the menu stated it chicken breast. Their plov while tasting fairly decent was drenched with oil. Waited awhile, bread was served then after awhile the waiter came to take food order without asking if anybody wanted something to drink as we didn't even have any water. They don't serve ice with water or soft drinks, you would have to ask. The lighting as very bad unless you are there for surgery, as in they are daylight white. An adventure gone well. "I didn't suggest this place, I thought you did" our fellow diners said to us on the way to Jannat. Our friends are particular about their food so I thought here we go, this should be interesting. We were very pleasantly surprised and I think our friends have decided they'll join us on future adventures more often. Jannat is clean, bright and super inviting. We felt immediately welcomed and attended to. The server was very patient with our questions and explained their regional specialties. My wife went with the Lamb Kuurdak, a lamb stew served with roasted potatoes on a sizzling skillet. I chose the Lamb chops. I am not familiar with middle Asian cuisine and don't have a comparison but have to say what we sampled was simple, rustic but hearty fare that was delicious. Our friends ordered Chicken kabobs and a Tandoor Samsa which to me seemed like a cross between a meat pie and a calzone. Our friends also enjoyed their meals, especially the Samsa. In fact, the whole restaurant seemed to be ordering these so this is something we will need to come back for. And we most certainly will. We were given a free dessert as things had gotten backed up a bit. I wish I had asked what it was called because it was simply amazing. If I could give this review a zero I would .. I never even post reviews but I was extremely turned off when my husband and I tried to get some food after work and stopped by for pick up .. once I got home I saw 6 .. EXACTLY only 6 fries on my chicken wing order - rice and bunch of onions and carrot strips . When I called I was told it's for decorative purposes.. weird - then my husband didn't even touch his food for the soup had weird flavor and the frikasse looked NOTHING like the picture online - I feel most of the menu is deceiving. Also if you order online make sure you see all your fees are correct as I really originally wanted to order a shawarma that's was priced at $12 rounded up and once in my cart it was $24 - I thought it was a glitch and tried to removes and add back on but prices are manipulated for it also automatically charges you TIP . You have to customize to take off the fee . On my receipt I noticed there was .50 cents online fee and another .75 cent online fee .. same fee just twice in different amounts .
