Honey cake and tea
Randa U.

Nice EurAsian restaurant in Rolling Meadows catering to a population that is underserved in the area. They are on a corner with plenty of parking. The restaurant is really nice and clean, along with delicious food. This is a new restaurant in Rolling Meadows and has a great selection of kabobs, doner, Asian, and soups! We tried quite a bit as first timers and were very pleased. We tried yogurt with beetroot and I absolutely loved it! It was served with bread that wasn't a pita, but worked well with it. We also had the Kazak Beef Soup and the portion is enormous. I suggest sharing the soups or having that as a full meal. The bowls are really for sharing, even though they say it's for one person. The noodles in the soup were thin and flat, also made in-house, not from a box. You can absolutely taste it's being homemade. The other entrée was Gan Fan, a beef with rice and Asian taste to it. It was a beautiful dish and plenty for sharing. Finally we finished off with a honey cake and it wasn't as sweet as expected. Accompanied by mint tea, our dessert was a delicious way to finish off. Overall, everyone was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the prices were extremely reasonable. We really enjoyed it and are looking forward to coming back and trying new dishes!

Wonderful Turkish & Central Asian cuisine. Very authentic menu variety. Complimentary pita comes out once seated. Today we had beef plov, pelmeni soup that has beef dumplings, chicken kabobs, choban similar to a Greek salad, fruit tea, honey cake, and a cream puff. Friendly kind staff. Just a very unique food experience overall. Casual dining with about 13 tables in the restaurant. Steady busy but no wait on a Fri night. Will be back! Happy to have a place like this nearby. Avg entree costs $17-20. Check for all this was $74 after tax.

I know this is a somewhat new restaurant. It's located in an old Taco Bell building so they have their own parking lot. First things first, I'll have to deduct some stars. The service overall was mid. That definitely needs to be improved. After we got seated and looked over the menu, it took a bit of time before the server came to us. No problem. She pretty much disappeared and it was the guy that was mostly tending to us. It wasn't busy so I know they weren't swamped. The service needs to be more attentive like asking if you need any boxes, are you interested in some desserts, and taking our plates away before dessert. Unfortunately, I give this place an overall 2.5/5. It's like a one and done for me unless the service and food quality is immensely improved. -complimentary bread 5/5 - shaped like two slices of pizza. Bread was soft and tasted great with the butter. -Turkish tea 5/5 - 0.99 and free refills. It's good hot tea for dinner. -haydari 3 - nice, creamy texture for the yogurt sauce with herbs, goes well with the bread. However, they gave us 4 small pieces of bread for a big plate of sauce. They should have given a better ratio of bread to sauce. They didn't give us a spoon or anything with it. -pelmeni soup 5/5 - i really like soup. Very savory although he gave us a sauce without explaining what to do with it with the soup. Broth was very flavorful. Ground beef inside the dumplings were cooked to perfection. -lamb kuurdak 2 - lamb could have been softer and more juicy. It was a little dry. Potatoes were soft and tasty. -boso lagman 3 - noodles had a good chewy texture. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of beef in the dish. There is more meat in the picture than what you get. -manty 5/5 - best main dish. Generous portion size. Big pieces of bed inside. Not too salty. -honey cake 5/5 - wasn't too sweet. Raw honey was more subtle. Soft texture and great after taste.

Food was amazing, attentive service and very authentic flavors. We loved our first visit here and look forward to exploring more of their extensive menu. Finished off with a nice tea and dessert selection.

The food was delicious and the service was great! We tried the samsa, chuchvara, boso lagman, and the zavarnye. Everything tasted so yummy! We tried to order the boorsok, but they were out of it. So, I will be back for sure to try that and some other dishes!

Tandor samsa

I was fortunate to be able to visit Jannat Restaurant on the second day of opening. It's run by the owners of Arzan Cafe in Chicago. Jannat offers both Uzbek and Turkish cuisine. When you first arrive here, it may look strange from the outside, but don't judge a book by its cover. This location used to be a Taco Bell, so the building has that look to it and the drive-thru lane is still there. The inside is nicely done, though. Nice white tables and chairs, nice ceiling work, and plenty of natural light. There was no music playing, but since it's a big open space, I wonder if it would get loud in there during very busy times. Service was friendly, and I love the fact that the menu included photos of the dishes for those not familiar with the cuisine. We ordered a tandor samsa, boso lagman, and chuchvara. The tandor samsa was kind of a flop. The bread was hard and dry (I think it got overcooked), so part of it was unedible. The meat inside was decent, though. The boso lagman was a noodle dish with beef and vegetables. At first it looked like spaghetti, but the noodles were top-notch. Great texture and the right amount of chewiness. Good flavor in this dish, although some of the meat pieces were a bit tough. The chuchvara was the star of the show today. This is a soup dish with mini dumplings. The dumplings were soft and meaty, and the broth was super flavorful. The veggies were cooked to perfection; soft but not mushy. And there was extra meat within the soup broth. Very hearty dish and perfect for a cold day. Pricing was fair. Please note they serve water in bottles and charge for those. Can't wait to come back and try some other dishes to further compare Jannat with Chinar and Anjir.

Ordered Chuchvara???

Nice people, clean. My concern is that I order Chuchvara and a Turkish Donor wrap for take out. Once I got checked into the hotel this Chuchvara looked nothing like the "soup" I had ordered and so looking forward to. I am all checked into my hotel and no plans to travel back to the restaurant to get my order corrected. But I will add the meal was tasty.

The food is absolutely delicious. We ordered lot of food done pictures are missing here. It looks fresh and clean. They have a lot of variety to select from. The service is excellent. The hostesses there are very friendly and prompt with the service. The place very well lit and bright. It's clean and nice. The capacity is small. Best to make a reservation, we did. It's very busy. It's definitely thumbs up and going back again soon. All the best Jannat crew and keep it up !!

Shawarma Wrap Chicken

Just had a delicious dinner at Jannat! We were so excited to go since we had tried their free samples after the 4th of July parade. We had the haydari to start, and my sister and I split two mains: boso lagman and shawarma wrap chicken. Both were incredibly flavorful and the portions were very generous. We ate the wrap first and only had a little of the boso lagman because we were so full! I definitely need to go back to try their dessert. The service and environment are so warm and welcoming, thank you so much!

Marcos P.

Absolute stellar service. Ambience was great. Food was pinnacle. Will be going back with friends and family.

Very tasty samsa. I recommend this best place in Hamburg to everyone.

And there's really no place similar in this area. Paired with the rice and beans and cabbage helps tone down the spice. Goat Curry - So spicy but so flavorful! The meat is tender and it's addictive. Beef patty - This is different than others, and it seems deep fried where I'm used to baked. Always love a beef patty and our kids enjoyed it. Plantains - Our kids love plantains in whatever form. Plus, these aren't spicy so they eat them all. Mac and Cheese - I'm usually wary of getting mac and cheese for kids because it's bland and watery (my child's words not mine), but THIS mac and cheese was SO good! So much flavor and gooey cheese sauce. Both our kids loved it and said it was delicious. Easy win! Candied Yams - Of all the tasty things, this is probably my least favorite. Everything on the menu is packed with deep, rich flavor. But candied yams are just too sweet for me. I think people who like sweet things will love this, but my preference tends to lean less sweet and more savory. So if you're not huge on sweets either, maybe skip this and go for the other items. The staff here are so nice--we ordered with the high hopes of ox tail (one of the non-spicy items) but they were all sold out! My husband was so disappointed that she took pity on him and just gave him the sauce and bits and bones that were left because they couldn't sell it anyway. It was SO good. Almost better than the first time I remembered it. I could be entirely too full and still want a taste of these ox tails! Please never go out of business or change hands--this place is a gem.

What frustrated me most was the explanation I received: "Sorry, this app doesn't work well." The representative showed little interest in solving the problem. Apparently, the app worked perfectly when it charged my credit card, but when it came to processing and delivering my order, suddenly the app was the issue. Delays can happen, but customers should be informed instead of being left waiting with no updates. I still didn't receive my order after two hours. I ordered enough for two, which means I would have something for the next two meals. The restaurant has been around for a while, and it is a stand alone building. The menu, like what you will find in Malaysia - a mixed of Chinese, Malay, and Indian. The service is always prompt. Here's what I ordered: 1) Roti Canai served with Malaysian chicken curry - the curry is unlike Indian curry. This is a typical Malaysian style curry. You take a piece of the crispy yet a little chewy pan fried dough and dipped in this curry broth. That combination will kick off your appetite. 2) Seafood and Tofu clay pot - a mix of fish fillet, squid, shrimp, vegetables and homemade tofu served in a clay pot. The tofu is delicious - crispy outside with soft and silky center - chef's kiss! 3) String bean mixed with balacan - balacan is a Malaysian sambal sauce made with shrimp paste and chili. It has this savory, sweet and lightly spicy flavor mixed with crispy string beans. It was a delightful dinner! We walked into a casual, cozy space with a smaller dining area that can feel busy during peak hours, but the atmosphere stays simple and focused on the food rather than a polished dining experience. The setup works well for a place centered around a warm bowl of noodles, where the attention stays on what is in the bowl rather than what is on the walls. The ramen is the main reason to visit, especially the signature Kitakata-style noodles. The noodles have a thicker, springy texture that gives each bowl a satisfying bite, and the broths are where the restaurant stands out. We tried the Spicy Miso Ramen, which brought a deeper, richer flavor with a noticeable kick, and the Green Chili Shio Ramen, which offered a lighter but still flavorful option with a cleaner broth profile. The balance between the noodles, broth, and toppings made the bowls feel thoughtfully put together rather than just another standard ramen option. The toppings were generous and the eggs were cooked well, adding a creamy richness that tied the bowl together. Beyond ramen, the sides are worth adding to the meal. We ordered the pan-fried gyoza, which came out with a crisp exterior and a juicy filling, making it one of the stronger starters to share. The karaage also added variety if you want something beyond noodles, with a crispy coating that held up without being greasy. The menu has enough options for different preferences, including vegetarian ramen choices that do not feel like an afterthought. Because of its popularity, waits can happen, especially during dinner hours and weekends. Joining the waitlist ahead of time is a good idea if you are planning around a specific schedule. The restaurant moves with a steady pace once seated, and the service generally matches the casual style of the space. The staff handle the flow efficiently, and even when the dining room is full, the pace of the meal stays comfortable without feeling rushed. Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai is a strong ramen destination for anyone looking for flavorful broths, well-textured noodles, and comforting Japanese dishes. The spicy ramen options and pan-fried gyoza are highlights, making it a place worth visiting when you want a satisfying bowl rather than just a quick noodle stop. The quality of the broth and the texture of the noodles make it a step above the average ramen spot, delivering a meal that feels complete and well considered.
