Small Turkish restaurant inside of a market. The space was nice and many lights inside. There is also an outside patio area to customers. The service was pretty slow but the food was good. The meat was little salty to my liking but juicy and everyone else loved it. The dumplings were yummy. Small but tasted great. We ordered the lentil soup and main dishes. The tea was nice but didn't know the Turkish coffee would come in a tiny cup. I guess I was expecting a regular size cup. I was a little disappointed with the dessert though. I got some macaroons (they were hard as rocks) and not sure if they ran out of the pistachio pavlona because the one the cashier gave me was pink and not green like in the pictures. Overall, the food is great if you're not in a hurry.

Cute place, friendly service. I picked up a to go order. The chicken had good flavor, rice was good. They have a good selection of fresh meat and adorable baked goods. Nice grocery store too.

Absolutely love this place! We keep coming back for the food -- it's that good. At first, we didn't even realize there was a restaurant hidden behind the grocery store, but what a great find. We totally enjoyed the Ali Nazik, Köfte Kebab, and eggplant saksuka -- all incredibly delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially the owner, Vidat. Can't recommend it enough!

Friendly staff, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. My son loved everything! Loved the attached market--such a unique spot. We'll definitely be back.

I heard about Aladdin recently and decided to check it out since I enjoy A Thousand Tales and Zey Zey. Aladdin is actually a small grocery store in a dinky plaza, but if you go to the back-right of the store, you can enter into the restaurant. It's nice and cordoned off, so it feels like a standalone restaurant. The interior design is okay. It's very beige, but it's clean and well-maintained. It feels upscale. Service was friendly. Pricing is definitely on the higher end, as it cost over $60 with tax & tip for just two entrees. In any case, the menus were actually presented to us in the form of tablets. After browsing through, the waitress came over and took our order. We went with beyti kabob ($21.99) since they didn't have iskender kabob yet, and ali nazik ($24.99). The beyti kabob was really tasty. It was kind of like a burrito or wrap with kefta kabob, chopped up into several small pieces, topped with tomato sauce. It was served with yogurt and bulgur. The ali nazik was beef chunks served atop an eggplant/yogurt dip, which was also a delicious dish. Very good food; just a bit pricey.

We came here for dinner tonight and was informed that there was a set menu for $33 due to the Ramadan, we were excited to try it and it turned out great! There were so much food, it included appetizers, soup, main plate of meat and rice, drink, tea, and dessert. They were all very big portion and they all tasted great! The host were super nice and service was fast and attentive. I definitely would recommend reserving for a table though. Overall it was a great tasting menu if you havent try Turkish food before, and it's great value :)

Hidden Turkish grocery store, bakery and restaurant. Definitely a must try. I love everything in this place. Eat the restaurant in the back, enjoy some tea and do some grocery shopping on your way out. Staff were great!

Excellent Turkish Restaurant! Highly recommend the Turkish bagels, Adana Kababs, chicken sheesh kababs. The grocery store is also super clean. The restaurant had a great ambiance perfect for couples and families. The menemen was unique like an egg based tomato sauce dish that I enjoyed with the bagel.

I'm so excited to have this new neighborhood gem! We went for lunch and ordered the Turkish eggplant-Saksuka, the Pistachio Kebab entree, and the large Acibedem for dessert. The food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I fell in love with the Acibadem and wish I could eat it every day! The service was wonderful. The employees helped us navigate the menu and were very attentive. Overall I had a great experience and can't wait to go back and try more!

Employees are friendly and they have a small dining area in the restaurant. It's a bit expensive compared to comparable restaurants in the area like Pita Pita/Pita Inn but it's still a decent spot to get some Mediterranean food from.

The person behind the counter had a great energetic smile and was super nice. Ever though we were the only ones there, we still had about at 15 minute wait, which was fine. I was really hoping to love the food, but it was just okay for me. I felt like there was a lot of flavor that was lacking in the shawarma and rice. The bowl serving seemed kind of small- especially for being $13. The bowl also came with a small salad inside, but I was not a fan of the pickle that was cut up, but that's just personal preference for me. The falafels were crispy and tasty. And the hummus was good, fresh and homemade, and looked amazing, but while getting close to the bottom of it, I found a tiny blue spec mixed in the hummus. Of course it caught my attention and I removed it to inspect it more. Possible a piece of sponge??? Needless to say, it shouldn't have been in there and it ruined my experience with the hummus.

I parked in the Park Ridge 90 minute lot across/down the street, which I think folks often use for Panera/Oberweis/etc. I would not recommend parking in the Chase lot. There's also 3 hour city parking near the library, and apparently at 11 N Prospect according to the sign on their door. There's an entrance on Touhy and along Prospect, and there are two different rooms (one near each entrance) so if you're confused and looking for your party like I was, take a look in the other section. Service was really friendly. Our server was attentive, very helpful with all our questions, and happy to get us what we needed. When we didn't have questions, he came back with the answer. I had the green joujeh kebab and it was really good. I've had "plain" joujeh at other places before, and having the different flavor profile was a nice change. I also ordered the dill rice as a substitute for the basmati, which was a slight uncharge. The dill rice was good as usual but next time I might just get the plain since it too would be good, I don't like lima beans (as comes with the dill rice), and I could skip the upcharge. I also ordered a drink, the Windy City, and it was really good! Their cocktail list was very nice. I was here with my book club and everyone enjoyed their meal. The portions were plentiful too; no one went hungry and several people took a portion of theirs home. In addition to the meditteranean food, they have a couple burgers and some wraps too. The soups looked so good but we were here on a rather warm day, so next time I'm trying their chicken noodle soup, made with a tomato base, or their lentil since you can't go wrong with that.

The interior decor was amazing, and our waiter was very friendly and offered nice recommendations. The dip platter, chicken hearts, and beef tongue with tripe were all nice appetizers. They were easy to share, and I enjoyed each of their flavor profiles. The beef tongue and tripe was very tender, and I enjoyed it while it was my first time trying it. Moreover, the chicken hearts were covered in aromatic spices and vegetables. The seasoning for this dish was nice. Lastly, the platter of dips was great since you can try 4 different things. Our main courses were also wonderful. The meats were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The portions are very generous and well worth the price. The cake Mehanata and fig cake were also great desserts. They were light and sweet. Both of them were a great addition to the meal. The shopka salad was refreshing and the feta cheese and olives added a nice touch to the salad, and the server served me complimentary bread. I was originally going to get a clay pot dish but the server recommended me to get kebapche and kufte, so I got that instead and it was flavorful and juicy. The fries with feta is a must since the cheese added a nice creamy mouthfeel and the fries were crispy. I noticed that I heard people speak Bulgarian which means that the food is most likely legit and authentic.
