We were craving gyros so we ordered carry out. Olympus has been around for decades and doesn't disappoint. Their gyros prices are steep compared to other local joints, but the amount of food makes up for it. One gyro dinner plate ran us $17 and change after tax, but was enough to feed 2 with some gyro meet still left over. Staff were friendly and quick. The interior is pretty sparse- you come here for the food, not the ambiance.

Straight forward Chicago style gyro joint.

We wanted to try somewhere new today and went with Olympus Gyros due to their high rating and reviews. Upon entering, we were greeted by the lady behind the counter. She took our order promptly and we sat in a booth. The dining area is simple but clean. We received our meal in about 5 minutes. The portions are more than plenty. The fries and basic fries, but their gyro meat comes on the side with pita, tzatziki sauce, onions, tomatoes, and a small Greek salad. I like that they leave it to you how much sauce and everything you want on your sandwich! The salad was tasty, and all ingredients seemed fresh. The chicken gyro meat was delicious. Not too oily and not dried out. Overall, we were very happy with Olympus! The prices are slightly high, but not enough to deter us from returning. Excellent lunch!

YUM, Olympus Gyros - you are a find! One of my favorite foods is the Chicago-style gyros - I can literally eat this on a daily basis and will never get sick of it. HA. Olympus Gyros has been around for years, and this family -owned and -operated business is loved by the locals - you can tell that they have a great relationship with their patrons, as I've overheard conversations that included how the family/children were, health, etc. - so nice! Besides gyros, they also have soups, salads, Chicago-style hot dogs, sausages, burgers, sandwiches, various sides, and 'meal deals' - look for their specials of the day by the cash register. Stopping by for a quick bite, I ordered the Gyros Sandwich with extra onions and extra tomatoes, well-done. The gyros themselves were sliced perfectly and tasted so good; the onions and the tomatoes were fresh and plentiful. The pita bread was fluffy and one of the better pita breads I've had. The service here is very friendly, welcoming, and kind. The place is set up like a small diner, with some booths inside. A small parking lot if available to park your vehicle. I'd like to return again for their gyros, but also to try out their 'famous' tacos, fish sandwich, and burgers. YUM! +tasty gyros! +friendly service! +private lot available for parking

Best gyro I've ever had! Wow! I don't even like gyros but this is top tier. I will be back! Highly recommend.

We were in the are doing a delivery and when we searched on Yelp for a place to have lunch this one was less than a mile away on the street we were driving on! They have a private parking lot. We placed our order and got it really quickly. We ordered two Gyros sandwiches and the meat was a little over cooked for my husbands liking but I thought it was great! The weather is in the 30's today and the restaurant was warm and had heaters running which we appreciated. The lady who took our order was very sweet. We will be back for sure if we are in the area! They have lots of great menu items and variety. Check it out and see what you think!

Date: 25-June-2024 Time: Lunch Total (before tip): $14.97 Payment type: Cash Server: Counter order Grade: C- I was in a mood for a Gyro and decided to come here. The place looked a bit outdated both inside and out. I came up to the counter and placed my order, which was #10, Gyro Sandwich (no onions) with Fries and a Drink. It did not take long for my food to come out. I picked it up at the same counter. I was a bit disappointed... The Gyro looked a bit anorexic... And the fries looked overdone. I started with the fries and they were okay, the pre-frozen kind. Gyro was a bit dry and over moistened at the same time... Just a weird experience overall. What was even stranger, was the fact that someone came in and their food was brought out to them... So certain customers get different treatment... Overall a C- experience! I will be back to try something else.

Had not been here in sometime. The gyros are still as delicious as I remembered. Fries crispy and fresh.

I had not been in a while and decided to get a Gyro and as always did not disappoint. Thanks you.

There is a monstrous screen behind the bar for sports, but they mostly show videos of Greece, but they are mesmerizing videos of a beautiful country. It's a cleaner version of Dengeo's. And, dare I say, better version. Except for their avgolemeno soup. Such a weak travesty. Please fix this. It's just a watery mess. However, everything else is delicious. I ordered the Greek Chicken with their lemon-butter rice. They debone the chicken and serve atop a mountain of their rice. If also had their potatoes (which are good) but the rice is magical. The first time we went, they had a serve yourself soda fountain and they since got rid of it and sell soda in bottles and cans. They do still have a self-serve water station. Once you order, staff will bring to your table, so please tip when you order or leave on the table as they do come by and clear your table as well. It is first come first served and you grab your own tables. I've been there on weekends and weeknights and they get pretty packed. The food is flavorful and quite tasty. The portions are huge so you're definitely going to bring something home. Nostimo is now in our rotation of places to go in a pinch and they do have an outdoor seating area, too.

Since there was a total of 11 and the seating is first come first serve, we decided to call to see if they had reservations. They did take our name and reserved a table. When we arrived we noticed a table was reserved and we were informed that it was our table. We sat and looked over the menus. When we were ready my 2 boys and I went up to place our order. My one son has major allergies so we spoke to the chef and he came back out to recommend the dishes he can have. It was great that he did so and gave us confidence that my son would be able to eat without worrying too much about the ingredients. I ordered the Shrimp Kalamakia with a side of the Greek Rice. My son with the allergies ordered the Pork Kalamakia with Greek Rice and no pita, my other son ordered the Traditional Pork Gyro with Greek Rice. The sides we ordered: Saganaki Fritters and Spanakopitakia. My son that ordered the Pork Kalamakia devoured it. He said it was tender and juicy and probably could have eaten 4 skewers. My Shrimp Kalamakia was nicely charred and seasoned, I squeezed some lemon and it provided a nice tang over the seasoning. The Lemon rice pilaf was soft and cook just right and was nicely balanced. I had one Saganaki Ball and it was delicious. My son had the Pork Gyros said it was really good and the Tzatziki sauce was creamy and rich with flavors. My in-laws bought the table desserts and I got the Baklava and my wife got Loukoumades (Greek Donuts with Nutella) and both did not disappoint. I really loved the citrus honey syrup in the Baklava. The Loukoumades had a crispy shell and nice a fluffy on the inside and the Nutella amount was perfect. This place is very good and well worth the price in my opinion. I loved the fact that they took the time to make sure my son with allergies was safe.
