Clara experienced her 1st Mediterranean meal and is hooked!!
    Dre' M.

1st time customer. I took my mother-in-law out for lunch and yelped Mediterranean food as she has never had it before. Pulling up we noticed the very nice outdoor seating area. The smells coming out of the restaurant were leading us inside. The order area was quite crowded as there was a constant line of customers coming and going with the flow of orders. There was a slight mix up with our orders as the front register person gave us the wrong order number which caused the cooks some confusion. Regardless we both ordered the Business Special / chicken breast platter w/ Rice and side salad. Wow!! She was blown away for her 1st experience with this cuisine and is instantly hooked. So thank you guys for the great job of executing a great plate. BTW the cooks were all Mexican but not surprised since this is in the Chicago city limits.

Pita and tahini included with shwarma

They do shawarma right. We tried both the chicken and beef shawarmas and highly recommend them both. We upgraded one of the salads and really felt the upgrade was well worth the cost. We had them deliver via Door Dash, and were very impressed with the fast delivery our meals. We appreciated how well Pita Inn secured our meals for delivery. Great experience!

Very clean restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff! Excellent lunch specials. Delicious food. Great drink selection! Mint tea mixed with mango!

First time here for lunch -- the sandwiches and fries were excellent! I'm a fan of the chicken shawarma platter and getting it in lunch size in a pita was great. Fairly priced with and served with their great spicy and yogurt sauces. The fries were crispy and In a solid portion.

    Falafel Sandwich, and small hummus

I was happy to see there was no line on Memorial Day at lunchtime. In fact, I was thrilled they were even open! (They are actually open 365 days a year, I found out.) The gentleman at the counter was friendly, patient, and helpful. It had been a while since I ate at Pita Inn, so I had to take a minute to decide what to order. I chose the falafel sandwich and asked if the tahini had dairy. I was told yes, it does, but that they also have a vegan tahini. Additionally, I ordered a small hummus, which comes with pita bread. It took about 5-ish minutes for the food to be prepared, then I found a table in their clean and bright dining room. I enjoyed listening to the music while I ate; it made me feel more immersed in the culture. The food was delicious, and I liked that they sprinkled paprika and oil on top of the hummus. The pita was warm and fresh, and the falafel was perfectly seasoned! After lunch, I ordered baklava to-go, which does not contain dairy (woo hoo!). Even though it tasted good, I felt it was a bit dry... perhaps a little more honey would have done the trick. During my experience at Pita Inn, I was reminded of how much I love this place (especially this location), and am looking forward to returning again soon!

    Chicken Shawarma Entree

Last week ordered a chicken shawarma plate for take out. I brought it back home and was shocked on how little chicken there was compared to the pile of rice, it was basically all rice. I come here often and never usually have problems (I dine in). But for 16 bucks it was not worth at all. I don't know what was going on this time around they usually do a great job.

So much food, for such little price! Pita Inn did not disappoint. My vegetarian combo plate came with 2 pitas along with my big tray of food. The falafel was perfectly soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The tabouli salad was soooo fresh and I loved the roasted eggplant flavor of the baba ghannoug. We ordered at the counter when we got there & our food was ready in less in less than 10 minutes - super quick! Great place for take out.

Yes, another win, for Pita Inn. We ordered for delivery, but all was still hot and fragrant when it arrived at our door. Piles of pita, creamy hummus, tangy dolmades, fluffy rice pilaf and tasty kefteh and shawarma. Amazing garlicky sauce, nutty tahini and spicy red sauce. All was packed nicely and secure, and delivered in a timely manner. We're all in for Pita Inn.

This place hit the spot! I loved the portions, the flavors, family environment and sauces!!! This was my first time and it did not disappoint. Seems family owned so the service is warm and comforting. This is definitely being added to my Chicago food list when I am back in town.

I love Mediterranean food and it's difficult to find a good place. Pita Inn is my go to place when I crave for a good chicken shawarma & falafel sandwich. This location is always hustling. Everything is fresh and their staff is always helpful when there are any questions. The process begins with placing your order at the front counter, receive a number ticket, find a table, and wait for your number to be called on to pick up at the pick up counter. There is plenty of inside seating and when the weather is nice, guests can enjoy outdoor seating. We ordered Chicken Shawarma, falafels, Chicken Tender Entree, Extra Pitas, and Chicken Fatoush Salad. Overall value was on point for the amount of food we received. I highly recommend this place.

    Shish kabob sandwich
    Mark Y.

Busy, crowded place with great prices. Mexican drinks and ice cream are featured along with Mediterranean fare, that's interesting. I ordered a Shish Kabob sandwich for 6.99. Marinated beef, lettuce, tomato in a pita with hot sauce and a creamy sauce. That's a lot of good food for seven bucks. Good food, great value. Staff is friendly and efficient and your food comes up fast. Four and a half stars, rounded up.

I always love coming here! Such great flavors, they give a large amount of food, and good variety.

How are the catering portion sizes? The menus look fantastic with a wide variety of foods, but if I order for exactly how many guests I will have, will it be too much food?

There is not a bad choice on the menu here. I always get the Lula plate. When it's described on the menu that it is cooked to perfection, I can honestly say that's not exaggeration. The mushroom, rice, pilaf and cabbage salad is always such a great combo with any of your proteins. We always give baba ganoush with the dish because we end up ordering a large hummus on the side just for leftovers at home because they're homemade. Hummus is so good and better than any other store we've ever purchased from. The combo plate is such a great choice if you're splitting amongst two people and want to get some baklava and hummus on the side or a different type of appetizer. This time around, we decided to head down there for dinner with our 7:15pm reservations. First off, it was super busy but we were promptly and warmly greeted by Ms. Ava who told us that they were clearing some tables for us. The interior decor remained absolutely stunning and I love the sounds of hustle and bustle alongside ambient lighting. When we got seated, our waiter, Taha, introduced himself and immediately put in my request for two Strawberry Rose Palomas, Lemonade, Moroccan Onion Dip in addition to the Hot Honey Holumi. Taha was kind and our drinks and small plates and hot mezze were delivered at the speed of light. I also want to note that we were constantly being checked up on, our empty drinks were filled up again, empty plates were taken away without us having to say anything. This alone deserved a gold star from me!! But I digress. The Strawberry Rose Palomas were strong but sweet at the same time. They weren't so watered down and were light and refreshing. My mom loved her lemonade although the caveat here would be to be a little lighter on the ice. Mmm.....the Moroccan Onion Dip was fantastic per usual. Tangy, succulent, all the same. The pita bread was so good as well. It was fresh and warm and we couldn't get enough. The Hot Honey Holumi was alright but I wasn't big of a fan. Besides the topping, it didn't really taste of anything and I think I could have done without it. When it came to the main meals, my dad and i ordered the grilled chicken kabob plate and my mom got the grilled branzino. When we received our food, my dad could not stop raving about how good the chicken kabob was. The rice was plentiful and the chicken was juicy, well portioned and big. Seeing as though I'm definitely a spicy girl, I ordered some extra harissa and it was delicious. Spicy and added a great kick to the chicken kabob plate. To continue on this savory journey, my mom absolutely loved her grilled branzino. It was so flaky and flavorful. It had been deboned and with the additional squeeze of lemon, it was absolutely delicious. It made my heart huge to see how satisfied my parents were with their meals. I, of course, loved my grilled chicken kabob. The chicken was cooked well with it being juicy, succulent and tender. It paired well with the rice which again was plentiful. The harissa was the perfect compliment. **Chef's Kiss** We finished the night off with the warm sticky date cake which was not too sweet but sweet enough. It was soft and gooey all at the same time. It paired nicely with the whipped cream on the side. I, as well as my parents, enjoyed it. With my overall experience this time around compared to my previous one was night and day. Honestly, the customer service this time around was light years different from my first experience which was not great and very unfortunate. Because of tonight, I could tell right away that this was an establishment who actually cared about the dining experience of its patrons. To me, a place could have the best food in the world but if the customer service lacks, your whole dining experience is lost. Although my initial experience here was not the best, this experience showed me that errors can be rectified and experiences can be turned around. Our overall experience tonight was great and I will definitely be back, bringing along others with me. The price here is pretty up there but like I always say; you get what you pay for and this experience is definitely A1 and well worth it. Shoutout to Jordan, Taha, Ava and the rest of the crew! Thanks for turning our dining experience around and we hope to see yaall again soon! Highly recommend coming here if you're into a modern, classy and high end dining experience with a fun little Mediterranean flair!

Finally i went up to confirm they were working on our order and it appeared a few minutes later. It was worth the wait because we all agreed it was delicious! I had ordered a kebab sandwich on a laffa, which was stuffed with israeli salad, hummus, tehina, pickles and french fries (the best part). It was all so tasty, especially the laffa which i'm pretty sure they make in house. It was also ginormous. I ended up taking half home and eating it for dinner. The rest of my party enjoyed their sandwiches as much as I did. Before leaving we shopped for some treats at the market, including a $20 dubai chocolate bar that my kids have been dying to try thanks to tiktok. They split it for dessert later that evening and all 3 of them agreed it lived up to the hype. This is a great food option if looking for kosher food...or if you just want really tasty food!
