I ate here a few days ago and it was good. Not Great - but Solidly GOOD. I had the Kofta Wrap, and a plate of Hummus. Both were solid. My girlfriend had the Chicken Kabob (which I warned her against because it was breast-meat, which usually means "dry" - but her chunks of breast-meat were MOIST and Delicious). And the reason was clear: every piece was cut to exactly the same size, and each one was perfectly grilled, being basted in juice and fat (probably olive oil mixed with herbs & chicken skin so it didn't become dry). Most chicken kabobs that we have ordered at other places were overcooked chunks of different sizes and shapes, making them impossible to grill uniformly. So in order to make sure that the largest piece isn't served with a raw center, all of the smaller pieces come out over-cooked. But NOT at Antepli. Here it was PERFECT. Deserts looked amazing, but portions were big and the food was expensive, so we didn't indulge, which I think was a mistake. My favorite thing was the strong black tea. It cost only $1.95, and it was bottomless (so I drank 6 glasses). We had two servers. The girl was a wonderful server, but the guy was kind of oblivious. The restaurant itself was modern and clean. I would come here again. Particularly if I win the Lotto. And there is PARKING.

I have been here twice now and have now had two bad experiences here. Both times, the service was poor and completely unacceptable. Both times, it was not busy, yet the staff still completely ignored our table after taking our order. Even when we'd call them over, they'd just turn away or go to another table. Infuriating. Once we received our food, no one bothered to check up on us at any point or asked if we needed anything. Did not even refill out waters. When it came time to pay, same thing. We ended up having to get up to go pay since they would not bring the check or even a to-go box to us. It's one thing to have personally experienced this treatment twice, but to hear friends experience the same treatment is quite telling.

This local place was amazing. There is a small parking lot that offers free parking. The highlight here was the lahmacun. A thin crispy flat bread topped with meat. I would highly recommend that dish. The service here was exceptional. They were attentive and knowledgeable. The server was very helpful to explain the menu and gave recommendations. There's plenty of seating inside and I didn't need a reservation to have a table. I would highly recommend trying this place out!

I came here with my friend yesterday and I love this type of food. I don't know enough about Kurdish food and Turkish food but have been to enough Turkish restaurants to understand this is very authentic. The beef and chicken thighs were amazingly succulent Service very prompt. Such a good vibe They have their own home made selection of baklava and there's about 8-10 different flavors to try Amazing If I lived in Chicago I would come here many times

My wife killed it with this recommendation. I'm always down for delicious lamb, and this place did not disappoint. Their food brought back so many memories of our time living in Turkey. The salad, hummus, rice, lamb, etc. made me miss that place so much. Our server was Turkish so it was cool to tell her our experiences and vice versa. Overall, I can't find anything to complain about. The chicken shish and lamb were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I didn't try the baklava, but my wife said it was delicious too. I'm spreading the word to anyone that goes to Chicago to eat here!

Everything is absolutely delicious here. The vibe is nice and spacious, the staff are really friendly, and everything about the place is great. I ordered the iskender, kunefe, and turkish coffee. The iskender was a fantastic portion, so much meat, and the flavor was incredible. Lots of sauce, lots of yogurt. Loved my kunefe with the coffee as well. The kunefe was perfectly warm and the cheese was amazing. I hope to be back here very soon to maybe try something new but honestly probably order the same things. I would absolutely recommend this place! Top notch establishment.

What an amazing reminder of how delicious Turkish food is!!!! My family was so excited when I chose this and it was actually authentic Turkish food!!! The coffee was strong. The cheese pide was a great reminder for our boys that tasted just like what they used to eat overseas. The bread to dip in the hummus was great, and the hummus was smooth and flavorful. My chicken breast kebabs were grilled perfectly with the perfect amount of spices. My son loved his chicken chops and was shocked with the quantity. The baklava was super gooey and packed full with pistachios. The chocolate baklava was a nice addition too. I'm hoping they will add Cherry juice to their menu. Overall delicious and definitely coming back the next time we are in the area!

Everything was so delicious that I completely forgot to take photos until we were halfway through! We'll definitely be back to try the main courses, as every dish passing by looked incredible. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by

I found this place several months ago and went several times with friends. Their Turkish breakfast is to die for! Comes with a huge assortment of marmalade, cheeses, tomatoes, breads etc. as well as menemen (an egg scramble). Also comes with fruits. The Adana kebap and pide I also higher recommend! Everything is delicious and service and atmosphere is great! The staff are so friendly! It's one of my favorite spots in Chicago!

For my breakfast I got the Shakshuka. Asked for just one egg. Overall the dish was fantastic. The tomato sauce was rich and spicy, with a hint of sweetness from the red pepper. The egg was poached and good. It was topped with some sliced mini sweet peppers which added some crunchiness to the dish. The mint garnish gave it some herb fragrance which contrasted with the spicy tomato sauce, further elevating the dish. It was served with two slices of Publican Quality Bread sourdough. I wish there could be more bread!! Service was friendly and food came out quickly. I feel like it was better than what I experienced before. There were not many people dining in at that time, around 10am. Glad to find another spot for breakfast in Chicago!

Food came out pretty fast. Nothing crazy to rave about, it was good. Food - the menu for brunch and the selection wasn't bad. Again, it was good but I feel like there isn't much for me to rave about. I do love the potatoes though, i probably could have had just that alone. The sandwich was fine but I felt like the bread was a bit heavy for it to be brekkie sando. My friends split a yogurt and an eggs benedict. Both looked pretty good, but for the price point it seemed like it could have been better and the portions were quite small. Overall, a great spot to sit down and grab a quick bite with friends, but I wouldn't put it on the top of my list of places to grab brekkie or brunch if I'm looking for a foodie experience.

We ordered the spicy feta and Kalamata olive dip as well as the Lahmacun pizza. Massive portions each. For entrees, we did the branzino and seafood tagliatelle pasta. I didn't feel the need to add anything to any dish - I was very impressed. My only reason for giving this establishment 4 stars is because they cut off the brunch service early and my entire reason for visiting was to indulge in the buffet style Turkish breakfast. Due to low attendance, they cut it short which we didn't appreciate but didn't let it ruin the experience.

It's an incredibly popular Turkish sandwich, loved and adored in the city of Berlin, Germany of all places. Our son, visiting us here in Chicago (from New York) was taunting the virtues of this rather large and tasty sandwich and of course, the city of Chicago has a restaurant making this; just right up the street. Döner 97 on Clark Street adjacent to Lincoln Park is serving up this delicious, sloppy (in a good way) sandwich with all of the fixings. I had their Combination Döner Sandwich a combination of both beef / lamb and chicken kebab sandwich with tender, seasoned meat, fresh veggies, and flavorful sauces in warm flatbread. I really liked it. We also bought a Chicken Döner Sandwich with delicious chicken döner kebab sandwich: tender, seasoned chicken, fresh veggies, and flavorful sauces in warm flatbread. Also very good. These Döner sandwiches are huge like a massive Mexican burrito, messy like a sloppy Joe sandwich, but fun like French Fondue. Butter drenched potato with your choice of veggies and proteins added. A meal in itself! I sampled and loved their Red Lentil soup and Bulgar dishes. The big winner this night was the Ćevapi sausages in their special flatbread. Pro Tip: consider splitting something. The portion size is impressive. We got the lamb scramble breakfast for 3 and the backlava crepes and it was all absolutely delicious. Can't think of a single thing that wasn't good and you can tell every ingredient used was high quality and nicely seasoned. I had to take 2 stars off for the price and credit card surcharge that's not highlighted or stated anywhere before you pay. The price because the breakfast set is definitely on the high end, and because it's one of the few places in chicago that does kurdish food well, so it's swallowable. I would definitely come back more often if it was cheaper. But charging a credit card fee on top of the high prices is always annoying and a no go, especially when it's not clearly stated anywhere beforehand. They clearly know no one is carrying around that much cash so it's easy extra money and just frustrating as a customer.

Our drink orders were taken not long after we were seated, and the food and bevvies started to arrive in short order. Highlights for me included the salmon, Greek village spread, pita bread, chocolate torte, and honey cake. The salmon was so mild and tender, the Greek village spread taster local and refreshing, and the pita bread was seasoned to perfection and hands down the best I've ever had. I don't even like chocolate that well, but the chocolate torte really hit the spot, and the honey cake was a new-to-me decadent dessert.
