Everyone here is SO NICE!! I have been to this location a few times and each time, I am greeted and waited on by the kindest employees ever!! I love breakfast and brunch food, so Egg Harbor is obviously a top pick for me. However, my favorite menu item of their's is the Door County Chicken Salad. This is a recent favorite of mine since breakfast food is my go-to if I am at a restaurant that serves brunch. So here's how our visit to Egg Harbor went. We originally planned to eat at a different restaurant, but when we got there, the wait was over an hour. Not wanting to wait that long, we went with our second option--Egg Harbor--and honestly, it ended up being the better choice. The atmosphere was cozy and matched the feel of the place perfectly. They use a text system to let you know when your table is ready, which was very convenient. My wife ordered the Ultimate Skillet, and I had the Lobster Scrambler. Both were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Our server, Juan, was handling quite a few tables, but you wouldn't have known it by the way he handled all of his customers, very attentive, helpful, and professional. The three ladies at the hostess stand were also really friendly and welcoming. Between the great food, top-notch service, and warm staff, we left feeling like Egg Harbor should have been our first choice from the start. Solid Brunch Spot in Schaumburg with Great Twists Tried Egg Harbor Café in Schaumburg and left impressed. It's a big, cozy spot with a laid-back, country-style vibe great for a casual brunch. The Cherrywood Avocado Toast was another standout, with fresh avocado, cherrywood bacon, and pickled red onions on sourdough. We just love this place!!! We come several times a year whenever we are in town. Great food. Several interesting options, including Swedish pancakes, avo toast, chilaquiles, bowls and skillets ... tons of options, in addition to the usual standards. Brunch options too. Everything is fresh. But by far what sets this place apart is the STAFF. You notice it right away. They really like working there and are super friendly. It feels like a family run business. Egg Harbor is still going strong. There hasn't been much change since my last review. I've been getting delivery the last few years, and the food is still delicious. The lobster scrambler is still good, but the amount of protein has definitely reduced. I wouldn't recommend the farmer's benedict unless you like your benny to be a bit tart. The artichoke definitely makes the entire dish sour tasting. Not the best flavor combo. Hash browns are crispy and taste better than their harbor potatoes. Great breakfast! It's been a couple years since we've been to an Egg Harbor. My wife and I split a Pot Roast Breakfast Skillet and added a Cinnamon Roll. Our server, Maggie was quite pleasant and accommodating. She split our skillet and let us order one scrambled egg and one over medium egg. Perfect! The breakfast dish as well as the cinnamon roll were great. Another nice touch here is they leave you both a carafe of coffee and ice water. We flew into Chicago this morning and had a gift certificate to a nearby winery so we decided to have lunch here beforehand. It was a good decision. Although the place was very crowded, the wait was only six minutes. Our waiter, Juan, quickly came over to take our orders. The menu has plenty of breakfast and lunch options. We had some time to kill in the morning before at 9:00 a.m. appointment, so we stopped in for breakfast here. It was a Friday morning at 8:00, but still pretty busy. Even still the service was snappy, and we were able to get our breakfast pretty quickly. We also considered going to Wildberry, and they're not known for their fast service. So I'm glad I came here. I really enjoyed the dish, because I was a bit in the mood for bagels and lox, and this really hit the spot. The hollandaise sauce was not too heavy, the poached eggs were perfectly done, and the salmon was very tender. The portion was just right. The price was $18, so pretty reasonable. My partner had the omelette, and it appears that they mix green onions into the omelet, which she is allergic to. My husband and I came here for the first time together the other day, and we had a great experience. I have been to other locations in WI, so I had some idea of the flavor/food they offer before walking in. Like many breakfast restaurants, you cannot make reservations here, so we checked the waitlist before we left the house. No one was on the waitlist, but we had to wait 5 minutes when we arrived. Not a problem at all, and the two hostesses were nice and helpful. Upon walking in, the decor is homey and comfortable. The hostess desk is right where the entrance is, and behind that is a wooden coffee bar. There is a beautiful mix of brick walls and stone walls to offset the colorful dry walls, and the furniture is wooden. I ended up ordering the Everyday I'm Brusselin' skillet ($14), and it was absolutely delicious. According to the menu, it includes cauliflower rice, shaved brussel sprouts, bacon, fresh jalapeño, and parmesan cheese. The skillet is then topped with two cage-free eggs (I ordered them cooked over easy) and served with an English muffin. The skillet had a perfect amount of spice from the jalapenos to balance the dish out, and the flavors mixed perfectly together. I would 100% recommend this dish and would order it again. My husband ordered the Barrington Benedict ($13) with a side of sausage links and he really enjoyed his food, as well. I did not try his food, but the muffins looked a little drier than many other places we have been to (he orders these every single breakfast place we go so it's easy to tell.) He did not complain at all and did say he would order it again. When it comes to prices, Egg Harbor is very reasonable, especially compared to other breakfast joints close by. That in itself is a reason I would come here again. You get a lot of food for cheaper prices, and the quality of the food is great. Service-wise, we had a great waitress who checked in on us multiple times and who gave us a water carafe so we didn't have to continuously ask for water; this is always a plus in our book! She gave us our bill extremely early though, which was a little weird because she didn't ask if we wanted anything else before handing us our bill in the middle of our meal. Overall, we had a great experience and we cannot wait to come back soon! I picked an omelette with sausage, spinach and avocado. This allows me to avoid cheese without having to pay for it. I loved the English muffin and jam that comes with it. It's so crispy and crunchy and buttery. I ate mine and my boyfriend's. The skillet was tasty but we weren't a huge fan of the little cube potatoes. The flavors were all there but the texture was dry. My boyfriend wished he had some sort of gravy to make the skillet less dry. Perhaps the hash would have been a better choice. My omelette came with similar potatoes and I couldn't finish them. I would happily substitute the potatoes with more of their English muffins. I like that they give flexible options and their seasonal menu is also interesting. The whole staff was just beaming with exuberant hospitality! My order was unconventional, and Maggie and the chef delivered a wonderfully crafted dish. So we happened to stop here bc the Wildberry Pancake place had a really long wait and we had to get back to the conversiones so we stopped at this establishment and it didn't disappoint. Place is really cute and clean. We were greeted and seated after another couple was seated. Server came and treated us immediately and he was awesome. This place has amazing customer service which we don't see often since Covid. They're on top of everything and you don't have to ask for anything. They even brought a small black tray with napkins...places hardly ever offer napkins...you always have to ask for them . I ordered the blackberry lavender lemonade, and a side of the maple bourbon bacon. Daughter had the signature pancakes with strawberries, a side of regular bacon and the strawberry matcha latte. Husband had a coke and he ordered a skillet . Our total did come to $105.xx with tip. It was expensive for just lunch but the experience and the food was worth it and we're not from around here so why not! Everyone was pleased with the food and was pleasantly surprised that the potatoes had so much flavor and I can't stress enough how amazing the service was from the server to the others coming in to refill, take our order, clean up the table right away if there was an empty plate, stew wrappers. Overall I would say not all egg harbor cafes are the same, even do this establishment is a lot bigger. The food quality didn't taste the same and the coffee was just ok. The French toast lack flavor and the bread was a bit hard. The service was ok, and the waiter was attentive. We order a side of harbor breakfast potatoes and they were plain and no salt added. The eggs and bacon were cooked correctly and the kids said the pancakes tasted a bit different and were not the same or as sweet as usual. Well, the decade+ long Egg Harbor streak continues for us.  That is, we've yet to visit an Egg Harbor wherein we didn't love the brunch experience.  And so far that includes the Naperville, Glenview, Lincolnshire (now closed for some reason), and now Schaumburg locations.  We came on a nice relaxed Friday morning, but I'm not sure I would want to be at this popular location on a weekend though. Wife had their 1/2 Door County chicken salad with a cup of black bean chicken chili ($14.50), and I had their Gregg's chili and eggs omelette ($13.00).  Both come with a muffin, whipped butter, and a nice raspberry jam and were tip-top delish.  This location has Egg Harbor's typically airy, naturally lit, and homey and inviting dining room, and there are two of those here actually.  Their coffee, which is their own brand, is of good flavor and strong, and they conveniently leave a carafe full for the table.  Dany was our friendly and attentive lady server and we found all of the staff here to be welcoming and friendly.  Great brunch stop, and we'll surely be back at an Egg Harbor Cafe sooner or later. read more

Great place for a girlfriends' brunch! Egg Harbor Cafe is a chain brunch restaurant with wonderful quality food for decent prices. When we first entered, we noticed that everything was designed nicely to accommodate to a homey atmosphere. Despite it being very busy and crowded, it wasn't too loud and we were seated right away. For food, I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict which was wonderful. My only complaint is that the potatoes were pale in color and slightly undercooked. I was a little disappointed by this because great breakfast potatoes is crucial to any brunch place! My friends ordered the San Antonio Skillet and a Traditional Breakfast with French Toast. They noted that both meals were great and they were happy with their choices. Additionally, the staff were very accommodating for substitutions. The prices overall were decent especially for the quality of food and a little cheaper compared to some other brunch places in the area. The service was alright. It did seem as though our waitress was quite stressed as she didn't really engage with us besides just getting our orders and giving us the check. However, we were understanding that it may have been because they were busy that day. On the other hand, we thought that it was nice that the manager personally came to stop by and check in on us and the food.
