Always great service and value . All the pictures speak for themselves. The ham is the best anywhere period so if you love ham you need to come here. I'm not sure how they can charge the prices they do but it's a great value. Soup menu changes daily but pea soup is always available.

Stopped by for breakfast with nephew. The place wasn't busy being it was a holiday. The vibe is old school diner, seat where you want to sit and the menu is on the desk. I got the western omelet with wheat toast and a gravy on the side. I also ordered the side of king ham. my nephew got the breakfast special (2 eggs, king ham and 3 pancakes). This place gets 5 stars for the king ham. This is what sets this place apart. The omelet had tons of ham chunks, so if you love ham and eggs, western omelet is the way to go. Staff members were friendly and provided great service!

A generous to go serving with croutons on the side! YUM!

Mr Allison's has been a favorite of mine for several years! The split pea soup is absolutely the best. It's flavorful with big bits of ham. The croutons really complete the experience! I now live over an hour a half away so I make sure I stop and get some to bring home when I'm in the area!

Great breakfast and ham off the bone. The wait staff is wonderful and very accommodating. The party next to us was a party of 18 and our waitress was on top of everything and even did separate checks for the party of 18. #iraeats #iraeats1

2nd time I've been here, the food is fresh & delicious. Today I tried their special which was lingonberry blitz which was SO good. The other person had ham and eggs. The ham is nice and thick pieces, not that thin stuff. They're also offering a great all you can eat fish fry right now.

This quaint and homely restaurant is the perfect place for a Sunday brunch. Its coziness adds to its style of being a classic breakfast place. The service is amazing, as soon as we stepped inside the hosts greeted us with friendly attitude, and our waitress was diligent and attentive the entire time. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were huge! I got to try their yummy seasonal lingonberry crepes that were packed with cream and topped with slightly tart berries. Their country fried steak skillet is also mouthwatering and was paired with fluffy pancakes.

Omelette (should call it Omelette-lite) Tasty - but the egg is too thin

Although the wait went pretty fast, about 20 minutes. I honestly do not remember what my husband ordered but it came with Pancakes as a side. He really loved it. I got the 'Falafel Benedict' which was pita, homemade hummus, baby arugula, falafel, poached eggs, harissa hollandaise, fresh dill, served with fruit. I love falafel but never heard of it as a Benedict but it was so flavorful. I almost finished the entire meal which is unheard of for me for breakfast. I am not a breakfast person. That being said, the portions were a good size too. They also had fresh squeezed orange juice which was delicious and always a must! Everyone was SO friendly here! They were also so quick. As soon as you finished a plate, it was gone. By the time you got the bottom of your drink, more would come. We told our server how great the bussers were doing. Some can be lazy... not here. Instead of ordering a traditional breakfast, I decided to try their signature WB BLT sandwich. Even though it's a simple sandwich, it's executed exceptionally well. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted, the thick cut hickory smoked bacon was savory and packed with flavor, and the gooey egg yolk dripping into every bite made it even more satisfying. The layer of garlic mayo brought everything together and elevated the sandwich to another level. This sandwich alone is worth the trip. I'll definitely be coming back more often as long as I can avoid the crowds.

There were ample hash browns cooked very nicely and the country fried steak was tender and well seasoned. It had a bit of a black pepper flavor. I also paid a bit extra for specialty pancakes because I am a huge fan of the red velvet pancakes. They are sweet and decadent but I can never pass up the opportunity. My daughter ordered the Açaí bowl which was a large portion and had ample ingredients with fruit and granola. It was nicely frozen and fresh. It was more than enough to fill her. They offer a nice selection of beverages and I took advantage of the Bloody Mary that was flavorful and tasty. The ambience is welcoming and vibrant and the staff collaborates nicely to make sure your needs are met. Solid and attentive service but no intrusive. A very solid choice for breakfast with plenty of choices to select from.

The pricing was fair and portions weren't overly large like other spots in the area. Service was good but fast! Our food came out in maybe 10 minutes but still tasted fresh. Overall, I really enjoyed this brunch spot. Tip: Their B&G gravy is made from scratch every morning and the corned beef is their other specialty.

When we checked in, they told us the wait was 40 minutes. I have no idea what happened but they actually seated us in 14 minutes. The place was totally packed. It's very cute and it's decor and ambience. However, something really weird is happening with the ceiling tiles so not sure if that needs any type of attention or repair. The place is pretty expensive as well. The menu is decent for choices with lots of different choices frankly. What I don't like about the menu is that with some of the orders it literally only comes with one sausage link, which I thought was weird and it doesn't even give you the option for Patty or an option for more sausage links in the order you have to order it on the side. When the dishes came, it was also weird was that the bacon was as thin as paper so that was really a letdown hence part of the four stars. Our waitress though was absolutely fantastic very attentive. She did forget a couple things but that's OK. It was a hectic morning. I don't mind that and it doesn't bother me. The pancakes are delicious. Definitely do not taste like overly floured, which is great. I would come back, however I will also say that the Arlington Heights area has a lot of brunch breakfast places, and in order to stay relevant you have to be competitive and really up your game whether it's on the food quality the location the service something that really makes you stand out ahead above the rest.

Then Nevi appeared. Good God. Every civilization has one person capable of making you briefly forget your own name. Nevi was that person. She looked like the sort of woman who could convince a jury to acquit you of crimes you'd actually committed. As a waitress? Adequate. She took the order. She brought iced tea. She never once inspired me to write poetry about customer service. She wasn't bad, just operating under the unfortunate handicap of looking like she belonged in a magazine instead of carrying breakfast to hipsters with too much disposable income. The chicken and waffles arrived looking like they'd been designed by a committee of Southern grandmothers with a complete disregard for cholesterol or moderation. The chicken shattered under the fork with a glorious crunch that echoed across the room like a rifle shot at dawn. Juicy inside. Properly seasoned. No gimmicks. The waffles were exactly what waffles should be: sturdy enough to support a reckless amount of syrup without collapsing into emotional ruin. However... their syrup suuuuucked! I needed the godd**n jaws of life to get it out of the bottle as it limply drizzled in my waffle at the speed of molasses. The chicken & waffles though? Together they formed one of those rare culinary alliances... Just excellent fried chicken sitting confidently on an excellent waffle, as nature intended. Meanwhile, Nevi drifted through the dining room causing minor traffic accidents in the peripheral vision of every man under eighty. If she'd also been an exceptional waitress, there would've been riots. Five stars. Nevi was worth briefly reconsidering my life choices.
