BEWARE: BUGS IN THE FOOD/ VERY RUDE WAITRESS- NOT FRIENDLY TO BLACK PEOPLE. The waitress served my child an apple juice with a BUG FLOATING at the top (See attached picture). So, my family and I walk into the location and the host seats us. The waitress takes our order and didn't seem too friendly. The waitress comes back with our drinks and my son says " There's a BUG in my drink". I called the manager over and said the waitress served my child an Apple Juice with a BUG FLOATING in it. The manager frowned at the glass and said EWW and she walked away with it, she didn't even apologize at this point. Se we decided that we probably shouldn't be eating here, and we started to walk out. On the way out the waitress was walking by and I told her politely that she served my child a drink with a ROACH in it, the waitress replied VERY RUDLY ( It's not a ROACH it's just a LARGE FRUIT FLY), the waitress said that as if it's ok to have a LARGE FRUIT FLY floating in your drink. I told the waitress instead of telling me which type of bug it was you could have just apologized so I don't want to talk to you, I'll just talk to the Manager. Then the waitress tried to lie to the manager saying I was trying to get upset with her when she was the one who was actually getting upset. The waitress was basically was Gaslighting Me. The Manager finally came back to the front and apologized but she actually showed me the BUG she took out the glass saying it's not a ROACH it's just a FRUIT FLY but I apologize and I will talk to the waitress about this. IHOP regardless If you have Roaches, Fruit Flys or Grasshoppers. I hope that you see this review and understand that you could have handled this way better. I really feel that I was treated like this because I'm Black. I don't like drinking or eating out of things that have BUGS in it, and for your establishment to think I would be ok with any type of BUG in my food or drink is absurd. My favorite plate of all time from here or any IHOP is sirloin tips and eggs . I have noticed however they are not always open 24 hours. On weekdays they close at a certain time. My husband ordered the country fried steak combo, he said it was alright. His overall score was a C. My son ordered the chocolate chocolate chip pancakes, his didn't come with the chocolate drizzle. To my son that was a game changer. His overall score was a C. I ordered the Mexican Churro pancakes. Imagine a giant flattened cinnamon roll. That was basically what it was. Our group of 5 arrived at 8:45am and were greeted immediately, seated after a minute of waiting. We waited several minutes before getting our drink order. No big deal. Food was all correct. Horrible experience while visiting from NY with family. We were a party of 3. We ordered, 2 apple juices, a water with lemon and a cranberry juice. Before placing our order the waitress let us know that the "egg guy" isn't good and suggested I not get eggs they way I WANTED them (sunny side up). So we ordered, The JR. Cupcake Pancake combo. Smokehouse combo and an order of crepes with a side of over hard eggs and turkey bacon. The 2 apple juice's that we ordered were very dull in color, and to no surprise they tasted watered down. The cranberry juice was warm, and was told they never put the juice in the fridge, so they provided me with a separate glass of ice. We asked to return the Apple juice and the waitress explained that "yea it doesn't taste good, somethings wrong with the fridge" so why in the world would you serve it knowing that it shouldn't be served? The water and lemon came without a lemon. After about a 30min wait, the food arrives and it's not what we expected. We received a Chocolate Funny face pancake combo instead of the JR. Cupcake combo. The order of crepes was cold, the over hard eggs were scrambled and not how they were ordered, the bacon was not turkey bacon, completely wrong. The smokehouse combo was also mildly warm and the eggs were very watery and appeared to be drowning in butter. We also never receive utensils, so that was an additional wait until the waitress showed up and we asked for them. We were extremely disappointed, on the verge of getting up and walking out, the only reason we stayed is because we were literally starving and had already waited long enough. We finally asked for the check, and although we had returned the Apple juices, the waitress did not remove them from the check. We had to wait for her to appear again to ask for the juices to be removed. A few minutes later she finally returns with the check and had removed the juices. We paid and left, never to return. IHop food is what it is. You like pancakes, you're home. At this location guests are extremely rude and the servers do not call them out. There's a grown man with a group making bodily noises on purpose clearly to upset the customers around him like myself. A server or manager must address this kind of attitude but they don't seem to care here. Another thing is, a server who helped me left the closed tab on my table, kindly saying "no rush, I am ending my shift but Margie will help you if you want anything else." The only thing Margie did was to wait for her colleague to leave, take the tab from my table, smash it and replace it with another tab with her own name in it. Now who doesn't love IHOP I have not met one person that said anything bad about IHOP. When I walked in with my family it was nice and clean it and it was empty and my service was right on time. We all enjoyed our meals and were very satisfied with what we ordered. My server was sweet and on time with everything that we needed whether it came to napkins, extra plates, or just a refill on our coffee's. 186/100 in 2016 challenge It's IHOP you should know what to expect. This restaurant is no different. We usually go there for breakfast as the value is good. The best time is early morning before eight. Otherwise it gets fairly busy. The place was empty upon our arrival and we were greeted right away and were able to take any seat we wanted. We chose a booth by the window. The booth and the whole place in totally was very clean and inviting. Our waitress came right over for our drink order. Staff is always very polite here. Never a problem with the service. I never finish my breakfast so the hubby usually just gets toast and finishes mine. The food has always come out hot and the coffee is good. The one compliment I would have is they coffee cups are to small and there is never enough sugar on the table. We usually have to "steal" more from another table. Maybe sugar shakers would be better. Also, the restrooms leave a lot to be desired here. The toilets need to be cleaner and bolted in better. The restrooms are what caused this to be a 4 star. read more

One of the worst dining decisions I have ever made. It was late, I was in a foreign land (St. Cloud), and I was starving. Against the advice of my dining companion I chose convenience over cleanliness. I ordered a grilled chicken breast plate that came with onions and mushrooms with a side of broccoli (I asked for no fungus and sub broccoli for a fruit plate). The place was empty, our food still took forever. I would have complained to our server to see where it was but she was nowhere in sight, as my empty water glass could attest to. When our food finally did come the fungus had been 86'd but there was plenty of broccoli (yuck) and no fruit. My water glass finally got some love and off she was to go get my fruit......or so I thought. In the meantime I quickly got to my chicken but as I took the first bite I knew I was not going to enjoy my meal....I also knew the grill on which my chicken had been cooked had not been cleaned in some time. The chicken tasted dirty, like a medley of all other things that had cooked upon the surface for who knows all long. When our server did return again she was still fruitless, much like this entire dining experience. I almost forgot to mention the annoying gaggle of high school girls seated directly behind us that did nothing for the atmosphere...but it gets worse. After we got the check, paid it, and the highschoolers left we decided to stay and talk for a few minute. Now all of a sudden our server was vying to win the "Most Visible Server Award". Except instead of waiting on us she was vacuuming right around us, asking us if we needed anything else with a "why are you still in my restaurant" attitude, and doing anything else to make sure we knew she wanted us to leave. Keep in mind that the place didn't close for more than an hour. There was no saving grace, no redeeming qualities, and they will be getting no further business from me. read more
