Unfortunately this isn't based on the food or the staff so much as the environment this morning when we went. Grabbed a menu, found a table, were formulating our order when someone came in with 3 young kids and allowed them to run through the people waiting screaming as loud as possible for an extended period of time. After about 5 minutes without uneventful from any adult, we abandoned our hopes of breakfast here without ordering. While I realize there's not much to be done about the people walking through the door, maybe a staff member could have asked the parents to control their kids? We live out of town so likely won't be coming back any time soon. read more

After leaving Universal, we were in the mood for a delicious burger that wouldn't be overpriced and decided on this amazing Brazilian bakery. It's only 8 min from Universal Studios and its perfect to get a local feel in a tourist area! We ordered the picanha cheeseburger and it was so juicy and delicious! YES! YES! YES! This place is quite small, but offers tons of punch. We went for a quick snack after dinner and saw so so many options that we got way more than we should have. Know that the flavors are a bit different than what normal American pastry's have...but they are worth it. Not quite as sweet, but super good and tasty. I looked for a bakery but this was so much more. I went in to buy four desserts to go. The person assisting me behind the counter was very helpful in explaining what was in the different selections. As I was trying to decide I noticed an array of different foods being served in the dining room. The food looked great. I decided to order two empanadas which were a generous portion and very flavorful. I will return to try the entrees. This place is located in a strip mall but has ambience and a modern look. We were really excited to visit this Brazilian bakery after seeing a video on Instagram from an influencer. My husband, our three kids, and I went with high expectations, ready to enjoy some delicious Brazilian food. While the food itself was tasty, unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. We had to wait over 40 minutes just for them to warm up 2 "coxinhas", even though there was only 4 clients inside the bakery. We weren't the only ones frustrated--another customer near us also complained about having to wait over 30 minutes for a simple cup of coffee. It's really disappointing because the place has great potential, but the lack of organization and poor customer service ruined the experience for us. Sadly, we won't be coming back. Food is very authentic. This is my wife and my favorite Brazilian cafe in the states. She is Brazilian. I'm American. We both feel the same. The steak parmesan with fettuccine is my favorite. The chicken pie is my wife's favorite here. It is really good! Almost everything we've had here has been really good. Been here 3 times during our trip this time. Every time in Orlando we make an effort to come here now. Service is nice. The atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommended for Brazilian food. It used to be my spot for breakfast a long time. Little by little the prices for higher and the quality lower. After that I just stop by for a coffee and cheese rolls (pão de queijo). Passing by and the bakery sign caught my eye. I knew I would want something sweet later that night so I went in and when I saw the showcases of fresh baked goods my eyes lit up. Not sure where to go, I just kinda wandered to the front to look at what they had to offer. There were a cpl people in a "line" but I noticed that of all the workers there, no one actually said Hello. Guess they were too busy doing whatever job they were paid to do... While I'm standing in "line" since there was No real structure to the way things are done, I noticed quite a few tables of people sitting around eating. I thought wow, this must be really good for people to come here just to eat dessert. What I didn't know at the time was that this place had a full menu Got my sweets. 1 was like a coconut macaroon, and the other two, I don't know what they were, but they were good. The chocolate one was a little too rich for my taste. The cheesecake was also good. I ate it for breakfast the next morning. I just wish they would have removed the green tops off the fresh strawberry. I wish they had label or sign saying what each pastry was. I may would have bought more or made slightly different choices. I wanted a piece of cake but didn't want to go thru the trouble of asking what each cake was. She already seemed a little annoyed when I asked about several of the other different pastries. "It's a coconut thing" was one of her responses ( Think about it, I almost wanna take another star off my review for that answer) I don't know if they change treats daily or make the same things consistently, but If there were labels, I wouldn't have had to ask. I am a huge fan of Brigadeiro and this place was right around the corner, so we decided to give it a try. The service was good, we don't speak Portuguese but they were still able to help and guide us towards what dessert to get. The desserts we chose were delicious and I would definitely be back for them. The brigadeiro ball is big and filling. The ambiance was okay, one of the booths had a broken seat, thankfully we were only 3 people and the person sitting in that broken booth could sit towards the edge comfortably. Popped in with a client for a coffee and something small. Ordered two cafe lattes and a half dozen pan de bonos ( cheese bread). The breads were cold on the counter display so they were heated in the microwave i assume, unfortunately they were rock hard and tough and could not bite into them so we discarded them. Lattes were fine but lukewarm in temperature. Recommend asking for freshly made cheese breads or better eat them cold and asking for lattes to be hot in temperature. Ambience was nice and cafe was clean. Service is difficult to say because we had a trainee at the register so it took quite long to check out ( ~ 10 mins ) and to change the register receipt paper but probably after training, this will all be okay. Very disappointing experience. We ordered a torta holandesa, a traditional Brazilian pie that has the perfect balance of cookie crunch on the bottom, cream, and a thick layer of chocolate. We called amor em pedaços and they said they made the pie and we were so happy. We went ahead and placed an order. When we picked it up we were so confused. Not only did it look nothing like a traditional one, but when we asked them about the discrepancy, we were told that's how they make their pie. If you're not familiar with the torta holandesa, the equivalent experience is ordering a chocolate cake and getting a strawberry one and then being told that's how they make their chocolate cake. Needless to say I will not be ordering anything else from them and would recommend you do the same. Que experiência decepcionante. The brigadeiro is a chocolate ball the size of a golf ball covered with sprinkles. It was very rich and tasty. The iced coffee I ordered was okay, not good, not bad. It didn't wow me. They offer lots of savory options as well that looked really good. It would be worth another visit to come and try some of those savory options. The place was cozy and inviting. If a place has the word "bakery" in its name then it's a pretty sure bet I'm gonna find a way to stop there. I love trying out the desserts in bakeries because they're always so different and quite often amazing. I'm really not sure what I got, but I quite enjoyed it. I was eyeing the various creamy trifle looking desserts and there were so many different flavors to choose from. The girl was kind to explain each flavor to us. I went with the one that had the words "chocolate and caramel" in the description and was not disappointed. Perhaps they would find it easier for all involved if they put up little name cards in front of each dessert with a name, description and price for each item. I felt bad about having to ask about each item. My peeps got some other flavor with what looked like flan on the top and just thought it was ok. Mom got a slice of the key lime pie and was happy to find out it wasn't super sweet and was actually more on the tangy side. Looking forward to visiting here again sometime. read more

My family and I were hankering for some sweet treats during our mini vacay in Orlando and were encouraged by the positive reviews on Yelp. Our experience was subpar, however. Everything in the dessert cases LOOKED incredible. Huge cakes, pastries, cupcakes, all the things I love. We had to keep urging people to order before us, because we just couldn't decide what to get. As there were six of us, we got a bunch of desserts to share. We drove back to our hotel in eager anticipation as, awaiting the deliciousness to come. Unfortunately, nothing impressed. We were so saddened by the lack of flavor and depth in each of our purchases. Most things went largely uneaten. They weren't worth the calories. The best thing was the fresh fruit on the fruit tartlet. The cakes and cupcake were dry. The tartlet pastry just had no flavor. For desserts that looked amazing, they had very little substance. I would give this place another shot, because the staff was so helpful and very friendly. Maybe this is a place you need to go to earlier in the day when certain things are fresher? read more

I am not fluent in Portuguese, but I believe "amor em pedacos" loosely translates to "pieces of love". How appropriately named this little bakery-cafe is! Each of the sweet and savory treats here is a morsel of pure love. The coxinha are filled with generous portions of shredded chicken and catupiry cheese; a dash of hot sauce elevates the flavor to a whole new level. The empadinha de frango (mini chicken pie) is great when it's fresh; not that good later in the day, when it is served microwaved. My favorite desserts here are the mil-folhas (puff pastry layered with bavarian cream and caramelized milk) and the bombas de doce de leite (dulce de leche eclairs), but I've noticed that you can't go wrong with any of the pastries here. The restaurant gets very busy, so the seating space can be tight, but they clear out and clean up the tables pretty quickly, so I've never had to wait for too long. read more

Visited this place once and enjoyed their pastries so much! I'm not even sure of WHAT I ordered... but here's the story. The Orlando office where I work has very few close-by places for me to grab a cup of coffee, quickly, without the touristy hassle and before 8am. This is one of them. I called ahead and immediately knew ordering was going to be fun, since employees spoke only Portuguese and I don't. With no hesitation, I went for it and through pointy at things and attempting to understand each other with me speaking Spanish and the employee speaking Portuguese, I was able to ask for two sweet pastries and three coffees. Two "cafés con leche" (coffee with milk) and a black coffee. Although I still don't know what I ate, the pastries were good and my co-workers were happy with their pastries and coffee. All in all, if you don't like the idea of not necessarily understanding the barista, stick to the menu (I later found a bilingual menu that had all the information I needed in English and I could've easily pointed at the menu and gotten whatever I wanted).
