Thick N Fluffy Classic French Toast

My third time at this ihop location. It is the closest to me and I can even walk there so the short distance is a plus for me. All the 3 times has been okay. I have no complaints expect that it does take a little bit of time to get your food but the waiters are very nice, friendly and attentive. I always like to ask if there's something on the menu that they recommend or they like that I can try and usually they give me ideas and all. I always appreciate that! Ihop is a go to for myself and my family. We love the fact that we can order breakfast foods at all times and those breakfast foods are good. We don't eat pork and love that they allow substitutions. I have tried almost every breakfast food on the menu except for their crepes. My favorite is the classic fluffy toast. And for the non breakfast foods, I have tried the steaks, burgers and salads, I thought they were good too.

Terrance as our waiter and as you know we always have a large group. The family wanted to grab some breakfast before we started our day of family and fun. They had to coordinate a table that could fulfill our family needs. Terrence trying but again the party was very large so he should have had some help because when the food started to come he was so confused but he kept a smile upon his face throughout it all. The restaurant was b very very clean. If you're a lite eater but want to experience the IHOP way try the Silver 5 it's in the kids meal sectioning of the menu. It's not little but it's absolutely just enough to start your day!

    Ricotta, mixed berry, blueberry pancakes

The pancakes were so cold and stale, they had to be sitting out in the open for hours. So dry and crumbly, they are completely inedible. the cream and mixed berries were inside the containter with the pancakes, and the pancakes were so cold that the cream and mixed berries were still solid and cold!!!!! and the driver waited at the store for at least 10 minutes for the food! The milkshake was still so cold that it was too thick for the straw...hence the 2 stars instead of one!

Build your own combo: eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes

I'm rating this iHop 3 stars for consistency! My husband and I come here whenever we're in the mood for pancakes (like this morning). We never come in during traditional/peak hours as to avoid the rush of people and the wait for seating. This place is booming on a Saturday or Sunday morning-afternoon every weekend! It's the typical look of iHop, very open. Usually pretty clean with the exception of a sticky menu or two. They do clean though, we've experienced the work being done right next to us as well as the smell of cleaning agents(factoring that into the rating). We've never, ever had a bad meal here, especially if we're dining in. This morning we had the build your own combo with eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes. I ordered raspberry pancakes(amazing!!!) and hubby ordered blueberry. Everything was hot and great per usual, no complaints. Def a staple for us.

I dined at this IHOP two days ago, hadn't been in a couple hours, pleasantly, the waitress (Abree)were exceptional, customer friendly even though she seemed a bit overwhelmed with tables; each customer seem anxious to get served, I'm sure Abree being cheerful and assuring her customers their order will be out shortly, made the difference in no bad attitudes. Further, I was amazed how delicious the veggie omelette, grits, pancakes tasted. I plan to deviate from my ultimate 2-3 days at "S" and dine at IHOP. Salute to the Manager and Abree!

If you're like me - and wanting to try a bit of everything - the Breakfast Combo is the way to go. The Egg Silsi is like a perfectly mild Shakshuka, and the Kinche and FirFir along with made for a wonderful infusion of flavors, textures, and savory spices that were unlike anything I have ever had for breakfast before. Everything went beautifully with the spongey goodness of the Injera. Ethiopian flavors are just so... cool. I don't know how else to describe it but this just hit different. Plus, a reliable cup of home-brewed coffee? Say less.

Coffee/tea options? Two thumbs up. Food? Outstanding. Seriously, I loved it from start to finish. I showed up on a Tuesday morning with my laptop and an empty stomach. There's lots of seating inside (with great natural light throughout, it's just such a warm, cozy space), and a few tables outside as well. I ordered the Keshir team (ginger, orange juice, and honey), which totally hit the spot. I could not resist the breakfast combo, which comes with egg silsi (scrambled eggs in tomato sauce with onion), kinche (bulgur cooked and tossed with yellow onion and clarified butter and topped with jalapenos), firfir (injera sauteed in a spicy tomato sauce), and injera. I SCRAPED the plate. Everything was delicious. Just thinking about it now, I wish there was a Buna Kurs in Baltimore, so I could eat this for breakfast once a week. One of the best breakfasts I've had this year. No joke. I love Ethiopian food, and I am so jealous that Richmond has an Ethiopian cafe. Ethiopian for breakfast?! A dream. It doesn't hurt that the service and ambiance are also great. Easy street parking to boot. A great place to work. The only thing that I'd recommend to them is that a few more outlets to charge laptops or phones would be nice - so that people can work from the cafe more easily! But otherwise, Buna Kurs is pretty much perfect in my view. Dream breakfast. Great cafe. Couldn't love it more.

From the host to the server, we really enjoyed everyone! The restaurant itself was cute! It was small and quant but we are used to that living in the city in DC and some of the best restaurants are like that! Now the drinks and food!! For the drinks we had the rosemary martini and espresso martini. The rosemary was one of my favs!! So light and delicious! The espresso was lacking and I'm an espresso martini snob! It was just so watery and was lacking flavor from the espresso! We ordered two kids pizza and a few apps. The fried green tomato's, spinach/crab dip and fried oysters which was a special! The pizza was delicious but the menu doesn't state that they sprinkle Parmesan on top. Both my kids have an allergy so they had to remake it. Once they remade it with no parm it was DELICIOUS! Def get their pizza! The biggest issue was the fried foods. The crab/spinach dip is a must try! It was good!!! But the fried green tomatoes and oysters were not good bc we can tell they haven't changed their grease in ages. They came out super dark and tasted burnt due to the grease it was cooked in. I worked in a restaurant for ages and can tell! If they had fresh grease it would have made a ton of difference! I'd love to come back and try it again but only if they have improved how they cook their fried food! If you're just looking for pizza and cocktails, this is a good recommendation!

The cucumber sandwiches were on brown bread??? The chicken salad sandwiches were bland and boring and were served on regular thick white bread. The desserts also lacked sparkle. The best were the tiny chocolate mousse tart, and the tiny rectangular fruit tart. The macrons were delicious and probably the best thing about the tea. However, the rectangular fruit tart did not have an expected glaze of apricot jam as is traditional. There were two cakes. One was chocolate, which was very fudgy and moist however, it really could have used a pinch of salt to bring its profile up to delicious. The other cake was a slice of either apple or banana??? Flavor so faint I couldn't tell. Neither of those desserts had frosting so can they really be called cake? There was a sugar cookie but I gave it to My friend so I can't speak to how it was. There was this little chocolate thing that was difficult to ascertain what it was supposed to be. I think it was supposed to represent hot chocolate with peppermint and marshmallows, but despite the peppermint and the tiny marshmallows, it was lackluster. The entire experience could have improved with printed menus with descriptions of what we had. There were two teas offered, the Jefferson and the Richmond blend. I had the Richmond blend. It was so splendid that I ordered some from their supplier. Overall, I was terribly disappointed. The beautiful venue had a slight effect on improving the overall experience.
