My husband and I were going back home to lower DE, when we stopped in for some food. The place was almost empty, a couple tables were seated. Couldn't find one worker, maybe one waitress. We waited and waited, they saw us standing there. We almost left, when the one waitress came up and asked what we wanted. If we called in something or who knows what. She was kinda rude. We got seated in a very small booth, good for one person on each side. That's fine and all, but I wanted to sit next to my husband. Whatever. Not a big deal. Okay. We got a different waitress, named Jessica, very very nice woman. She smiled, used manners, was very respectful. Changed my mood completely to make me feel better. We got drinks; he got water and I got a milkshake. At first, I thought it was kinda warm and sour, bit he tried it and said it was fine, so I said okay and kept drinking it. It's all fine. Okay then. My stomach hurt a little after drinking it, but whatever. We are still here, waiting on our food. Not sure how it will come out. Probably won't stop at this ihop again. Don't recommend. Edit: We got our food, I started to eat, and YUCK. The Brunch Burger (my usual) tasted so nasty and had this bitter taste. It was wet, gross, and the egg was thinner than paper. Waiter was okay. Didn't have sugar or creamer on the table for coffee. Did get refills on coffee. Bathroom was clean. Food was as expected at an IHOP, but we did have an order of runny eggs. Had to ask for the flavored syrup because it wasn't out on the table. read more

My family ate twice an affordable breakfast at this kid-friendly and clean location: silver dollar pancakes, French toasts, etc. The service was efficient and friendly. I wish they had more healthy options on the menu. This restaurant was conveniently located near the outlets. The parking was free. read more

You know what you're getting when you enter an International House of Pancakes. The Rehoboth IHOP is a little more international than most since it is staffed by summer workers from Eastern Europe and Ireland. Unlike some of the residents of Lower Slower Delaware, I enjoy talking to the Europeans and learning about their travels. In terms of food, the menu and portions are huge, like all IHOPS. The prices are hard to beat and there is plentiful seating for large groups. While IHOP might not be my first choice for breakfast when I'm within the city limits, I think it is the best option out on the highway. read more

I feel this location is better than many. The best time to go is breakfast and for its signature pancakes, but it's also the busiest. This location is large to handle the crowds. Family friendly. I was underwhelmed. My pancakes were the size of sand dollars and seemed a bit underdone. But my guests pancakes were noticeably larger in size. I don't get it. My wife and I had breakfast there 3 days in a row. We had a different server each time. I can honestly say that this is the best service we've ever had at any IHOP. All servers were very attentive, friendly, and they all seemed to work very well together. Even the manager came by the table to check on us. I've never seen that before at any IHOP. Great job!!!! IHOP can generally be counted on for decent food, and I've eaten at this location many times. A few times it shines, both in service and in quality, most times it's just average. Had breakfast there around noon on Sunday, and was disappointed on several fronts. The coffee pot was only filled with two cups worth, even though we asked for refills 3 times. Had to ask for creamers. And the omelette I ordered was served luke warm, as was my guests. Will return, but not soon! read more

I'm going to preface this by saying that I've never had a good experience at IHOP. This was no different. We came in with a party of 12 and although the size is large we were given inadequate and disgraceful service. The waiter didn't seem to really care for service although it's not his fault. The food took an hour and 20 minutes to come out and when it did it multiple orders were wrong and undercooked. The manager gave us a scoffy attitude when we rightly complained that the service sucked. I was tired, stopped in on the 25th, yeah on the road working and not with my wife, of dec. Well the russian man was busy talking to the russian waitress standing next to me when I sat down. I waited and waited, no coffee, no menu, nada-but the russian words fill the air. Well guess what? I wait more than three minutes after you seat me for a simple cup of coffee or water-then you can kiss my ass. I eat out alot when working and like customer service for the tip you count on from me. bad service low tip, good service=good tip. If your conversation is more important then serving me and my money, well lets see..humm I'll spend it somewhere else. Today he viewed his transactions from yesterday and it's a charge for $42.00! we immediately contacted the manager by phone because we live in New Jersey and he was saying it was a tip amount of $7.85 written on the receipt ! We brought our family of eight to the restaurant. Although it was overflowing with breakfast customers they managed to seat us in a timely fashion. We chose to eat outside. There was minimal bug activity as well as a slight breeze. Overall a pleasant experience. The server Lydell was great. We were entertained by his serving style. Which included the fact that he took our complete orders without writing down any of them. Am amazing talent for sure. Always attentive to our needs without disappearing. Very nice and friendly staff! The manager is always out asking if everything is ok. Food is amazing I order the fajitas omelette so Hispanic! Haha even though I am Hispanic I don't feel out of place at this restaurant. They are always very clean and there plate are very white! I mention this because it makes a point as too how clean they seem! It's kind of a hit or miss with the waitresses so fat we have good waitresses! They expect to be busy so they are always on too of everything unlike other place where they know they will be busy but get in panic mode when they become busy! Came to this place knowing we have had terrible experiences there every time we come here. The wait time was good, we didn't have to wait long to be seated, then it starts going downhill from there. We ordered our drinks eventually after a 20 minute wait. Waitress finally brought our drinks and took our order for food, asked her repeatedly for substitution for pancakes ( hubby DOESN'T like pancakes, waffles or French toast). Even told the waitress this, another one asked for no eggs (told her she doesn't like eggs). We get my hubbys order with pancakes and no bacon, the other one more at least got her substitution. Yep, it's an I-Hop. BUT, the service we experienced was exceptional. Our waitress was the best I've ever had at an I-hop and she should be running the franchise. The food was typical I-hop and the wait was crazy long. I don't know why so many people were waiting while I'm sure there were local restaurants with much shorter wait times. I have been to this location a number of times and enjoyed it. Recently I went with my parents on a Tuesday afternoon. Service was good, I could tell our waitress was training as she had someone helping her with the order and what comes with it. My parents got a build your own omelet and a breakfast platter, both of which they enjoyed. I got the cheeseburger omelet (menu had a star next to it). It's supposed to come with ketchup mustard already on it but it didn't. No big deal. I asked waitress for both condiments and promptly received them. The mustard cap had mustard caked to the side and then I opened the cap and it was just filled with mustard (servers aren't cleaning the lids or don't care?). I then had a couple pieces of my burger from the omelet and it was so over cooked and dry that it was like eating charcoal. My hash browns were warm at best, not hot and fresh. We finished the meal and placed a takeout order of tilapia and salad. After 15 minutes the food came out, no salad.. I told them the salad was missing and finally got it. There was little to no sense of urgency or attention to detail for such a simple job. Overall not the place I remember and I will probably go to Bob Evans from now on.
