11.24.25 Bethany Diner Review We were in the area around lunchtime, and my mom mentioned stopping here--she and my dad used to come after church on Sundays. So we decided to give it a try. It wasn't very busy for a Monday. Our server took our drink orders while we looked over the menu, which has a lot of options. It's a large menu with daily specials, and many of the sandwiches--like the clubs, wraps, hot-pressed paninis, and melts--can be made in different combinations for the same price. The meals are reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The club sandwiches especially are big enough to share if you just want a light lunch to hold you over until dinner. Mom ordered a club, my wife had the tuna melt, and I also went with a club. Everything was very good. I ended up taking half of mine and half of Mom's home and had it for dinner. My wife also had the navy bean soup and said it was really good--something she'd definitely order again. When we're in the area, we'll be back. read more

We have been here multiple times over the years and went back again yesterday for breakfast. They have remodeled the restaurant and it looks really nice. They even have a bar and serve alcohol now. Our waitress was so friendly and personable! The service was understandably a little slow due to it being Thanksgiving morning and then being really crowded. I had the blueberry pancakes, which were filled with lots of blueberries and cooked just right. My dad had the country omelet and my fiancé had the eggs Benedict. We all enjoyed our food and will be back again soon! read more

We are here in town from Pittsburgh on vacation. We had breakfast at the diner this morning and it was wonderful! The portions, especially for the kids were great too. They were happy and we left with full bellies. Our server was really nice as well. We got a mix of pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, French toast, a Belgian waffle and the country fried steak. Everything was great! Looks like a much newer facility, and I was thinking for a diner it would have a little bit of an older feel to it. But it was still great. It was busy when we got there, but they got a table together for us quickly. We would come again! read more

Been coming here over the years and the food and prices are good. The service is always good and the servers are nice. Place is spacious and clean. They still have 2 dinners for $32.00 w/ soup or salad, an app, and dessert. The crap soup was SO GOOD. Full of limp crab meat. Better than many seafood joints I go to. Potato skins were big and really good. We got chicken marsala. It was more like chicken cacciatore but was still very good. Chicken cut with a fork. I really like it here. Had breakfast on a busy day, people waiting for seats and the restaurant was full with every table/booth occupied. Our server came as soon as we were seated and took our drink order. Decided to have the creamed chipped beef over white toast with home fries. It did not disappoint. It was a generous portion of both. This is a must for me and my husband whenever we go to Bethany Beach. Came on Sunday, Sept. 28. You'd think it's off season for a beach vacay. Wrong!! Crowded here like a summer visit. But so worth it. Breakfast is served fast, fresh, and hot! There's always a crowd waiting to get seated. But the wait is never that long because the wait staff and kitchen know how to get those tables turned over quickly. And the funny thing is you don't even realize how fast you're eating. You just know the food tastes so good. This morning I ordered the short stack 2 pancakes with scrapple. Best scrapple ever! Crispy on the outside snd soft in the middle. My husband got the Western omelette with home fries. Be ready with an appetite when dining here. The portions are HUGE!! I skipped the eggs because of this. Definitely recommend this place. Be prepared to park across the street as this place gets busy! We walked in a were greeted and sat immediately. As we were eating the lobby filled up with at least 15 people waiting. We ordered coffee and a bacon/cheese omelette and a country omelette. The sides were fried potatoes and toast. The omelettes were delish! The coffee was nothing more than hot brown water. lol. Are there last night. I had the crab soup which was great. I also ordered the Pastrami Rueben which was a disappointment. What was billed as pastrami was closer to boiled, tough corned beef. A number of people including my friend recommended this diner for breakfast. This was my first time here around 9:30 am on a Saturday for breakfast with my friend, who recommended this diner. My friend said this place is always busy and hard to get in for breakfast. When we arrived we were offered a table or booth. We opted for the red booth. We were seated immediately at a booth on the left side. Bethany Diner is an American diner with a classic comfort food breakfast menu. It is reminiscent of a 1950s diner, with its red vinyl booths, tables and chrome accents. We both started with a cup of coffee for $2.99 each. Coffee includes unlimited servings. My crab cake eggs benedict with home fries for $15.99 was average at best. The crab cake had very little crab meat and too much filling. My eggs were also over cooked. My total bill for both of us was $33 excluding gratuity. Yana served us very well. I doubt I will return here, since we have other better breakfast restaurants in the area. read more

Great food and great service. We went for breakfast two days while in Bethany. The scrabble and bacon were cooked crisp and very tasty. We tried the Philly cheesesteak and crab meat omelettes both were good and enjoyed the chocolate chip french toast. Only wished biscuits were part of the menu, would have gone great with the omelettes. Spacious seating at tables. As a souvenir I purchased one of their Bethany coffee mugs which is a great size and holds lots of coffee. read more

I've wanted to eat at Bethany Diner for years but the wait was always too long. Visiting in the off season resulted in only a 10 minute wait however after eating here I think I'd wait quite a bit longer. The coffee was so delicious and someone was always waking around to offer refills. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the bacon was perfectly crisp! The real star of the show was the avocado toast special! Toasted sourdough bread was covered with bright garlicky pesto and topped with avocado, EBB seasoning, fresh tomatoes and bacon bits. *chefs kiss*. I can't wait to go back! Horrific service and treatment by new owners! Rude, belligerent Russian hostess. Screaming, chanting field hockey team, parents and management were ignoring . If you looking for a friendly diner that gives you a feeling of nostalgia (service not decor) this is your type of place. From the time I entered the door until I left I felt welcomed and everyone was friendly from the host to the server. The Bethany Diner is located in what you may call a strip mall with a few stores. There is a decent amount of parking so you should be able to find a spot even when the restaurant is full. This diner doesn't have the traditional bar type seating but a nice size dining area with booths and tables. I ordered breakfast well after lunchtime. Pancakes with bacon and both were cooked perfectly. Of course a nice cup Joe with it. My only concern was most of the staff was maskless but I made sure to keep mine on when I wasn't eating. read more
