We came here again last night for dessert and have another very good visit! We were seated immediately without making a reservation, which was nice. And the ice cream for dessert was delicious!! We all got the Reese's pieces ice cream sundaes, and they were money. The ice cream was fresh, and the Reese's pieces topping and peanut butter sauce was on point. We did a take out order for our family of four. Our one daughter is autistic (adult) and is very limited on food choices she can tolerate. She ordered Mac & Cheese but when we got the order home it was missing. A few moments later we received a phone call from the store apologizing. They got my address and delivered the Mac & Cheese for us. Not only was it hot, it was more than we had originally ordered. Hello, I am confused whether to leave a complaint or to tell you that you fell short. I first went to the restaurant, and I went inside at the front door. There were a group of people waiting to be sat. None of the workers acknowledged us or tried to see us, really anybody at the door. There were about 4 other families there and no one was greeted. This being my first time at Friendly's, I didn't know what to expect. After about 5-8 minutes we decided to leave and try the drive through. While at the window, I called in the speaker for someone to connect and take my order. After that I drove up to the window and I saw workers look at my car make eye contact with me. My husband and I ate dinner here about 7 pm on a Saturday night. My grilled cheese was delicious with buttery bread and oozing cheese. I was able to have tomato soup instead of French fries. My husband had a tuna sandwich with chicken noodle soup instead of French fries. We ended our fabulous meal with a happy ending sundae. Food was horrible and restaurant wasn't very clean. Update: So I wanted to update this to the fraud that this restaurant has committed. First and foremost let me clarity what I wrote in yesterday's review. The burger I had order first of all wasn't fully cooked through and was super thin just as thin as a McDouble patty. Not to mention it tasted freezer burn and really old meat. Also the picture of the burger in the menu wasn't what I expected. Second part of that clarification is how dirty the restaurant was. There was black all over the window seals. The ketchup bottle at my table had dirt all over it and was super greasy and nasty. There was dirt on floor under table also. Very unclean. Now for the fraud part see attach photos. I pay $35.37 for my food. I added a $3 dollar tip to make the total $38.37. I get a updated transaction for a amount in $41.74 so I guess the guy who waited on us though a $3 dollar tip was to low for him and decided he would make his tip $6.37 cents. Guess what buddy I'm disputing it with my bank and not only that will be filing a formal complaint with Friendly's corporate and possible police report now also. It's not even about the small amount of the increase but the fraud that you decided to do. I hope no one eats here after this. This restaurant is a fraud and very dirty and food is absolutely disgusting. If I could give this place zero stars I would! read more

More customer service. We went there to get ice cream cake, not to mention that the 2 boxes of ice cream cake in the display is messed up, as if it fell off a truck. We are in town on vacation. Our kids usually eat so so when we go out but have done well before at Friendly's ... so we went for it. We found out they'd just reopened after a two year hiatus. We are kinda chatty people and the guests waiting to be seated we're all enjoying chatting. I tried to engage the front area staff and they all got quiet. It was kind of weird. There was a new hostess who was fantastic though. Dinner and desserts were great. I felt it was a bit pricy. When you notice you can eat at Chick-fil-A three times for the same cost as one trip to Friendly's ... seems just a bit high. Food was good though! We had Mac N Cheese, fries, applesauce, mandarin oranges, a quesadilla and some seafood pasta. We ordered ranch for dipping and it didn't come out, we had to ask again. My wife's shake came out a while after all the kids desserts and wasn't what she'd ordered. But for two weeks in, service was pretty good. We would definitely eat here again but not if on a budget. read more

I will definitely cry if Friendly's goes out of business! Whenever I get myself close enough to where there maybe one I always hit them up. My go to meal is always a simple grilled cheese, with french fries, and chicken noodle soup. Then I follow up with a Reese's PB sundae that has extra fudge and peanut butter sauce. Go big or go home folks! I wish they bottled the peanut butter sauce and the hot fudge! I would buy that ALL the time. The pricing is and has always been great. Our service at this location was amazing. They all work together getting food out, and clearing the tables. Friendly's ice cream is delightful! read more

Totally rude worker locked doors 20 minutes early and ignored us at door. People inside eating still. We just wanted take out from the carry out case. Worker looked at my husband and I standing at door, acknowledged us with a head nod, then kept going and left us standing there at the door. Newly re-opened with new staff and interior. I hope new management reads this so they know where to improve! Facility: New exterior looks nice. New interior is a bit crowded; sad they got rid of most of the booths. Bathrooms were expanded from before but still only 1person at a time. They definitely need attention more often. Staff: The new staff in training are all are super young and but very friendly. Understanding they're in training, they do need some work. Food: Quality of the food is definitely down. Portion sizes are nowhere near what they used to be. We used to come here and easily filled up. This time we left still hungry. Fries were overdone and bland. Bread on my super-melt could use more toasting and needed a lot more filling. For some reason they are out of normal size hamburger buns (I'll blame COVID on that), but the patty was mashed down to look larger, making it thin. Looked similar to a Wendy's beef patty. Deserts are an exception though; still the same good quality Friendly's Ice cream. Overall, eh, it was okay. Not sure we'll return; a lot of money for so little food. read more

My experience was very disappointing the couple times I have been here the restaurant staff was rude. Today we came in there were 5 tables already seated, we were waiting for someone to seat us we waited for over 15 minutes, then we were sat stating the writer will be back in 5-6 minutes... 30 minutes later we still have not asked for drinks. The table next to us was disgusting and they didn't clean it at all even after we left. After ordering our food, which was EXTREMELY disappointing we had to ask for our drinks again, everyone around us had glass cups with straws we received paper cups with no straws, he spilt the water all over my sister's phone, luckily not ruining it completely. The bathrooms are filthy there was no soap and my feet stuck to the floor, I swear this place hasn't been cleaned in forever, it was one staff member per 10 tables. We recived 1 napkin for 3 people, we recived no silverware what so ever. My grandmother did not recieve her free ice cream. Which is absolutely ridiculous, we waited for over 40 minutes for our bill. Stopped in for lunch and was told immediately that they were short-staffed that day and it might be a little wait. I asked to order food to go and I'd return at a time that would give staff time to catch up with seated customers as the restaurant was full. Miss Pam immediately took my order and told me it wasn't necessary to come back later and to wait. She was everywhere, taking care of customers, backing up cook staff and the only other waitress I could see. The place was clean and welcoming and my food arrived in record time. Miss Pam couldn't have known, but coming to Friendly's for my son's birthday every year has become a tradition and we had driven an hour to get there. The service and the food didn't disappoint, thanks to Miss Pam's excellent customer service - despite being short staffed that day. She was amazing and we'll be back! read more

Our take out was blah! The best entree was the kids chicken tenders ( moist w fries and a drink). The grilled Caesar salad was terrible. Iceberg lettuce was brown, portion was meager and grilled chicken was tasteless- unbelievable for 13 bucks! Yuck. The burger was ok but no better than a Mac Donald's for half the price. This friendlys better not close down. I don't live in Delaware but I always try to find a Friendlys when I am on vacation because the quality for the price is amazing! This location was the best I've ran into yet! My server Lisa was amazing!!! She was quick and she was perfect with her customer service. I had to tip her well because she was on point with literally EVERYTHING! This location is busy and I'm not surprised as to why it's busy. People know it's good! The booths are a little tight but it's not the end of the world. Lol The food was soooo good. Even though it was just a chicken melt? It was one of the best melts I've had in a very long time. I have given this Friendly's a chance twice and won't go back again. The first time I had a hamburger that was a thin frozen patty and wasn't very good. The second time I went there and ordered a crispy chicken wrap. I had to send the wrap back because the chicken wasn't cooked (it was pink). I will say the waitress was good and sundae was also. read more

I have been going to this Friendly's for YEARS, but as with all restaurants the prices have sky rocketed. After a prior visit where 3 salads cost me $51 (with the help of being way over charged for extra dressing), I limited my visits to maybe 3 a year. I decided to try the new drive-through in Rehobeth. Mozzarella sticks are very good but the ice cream sundae was horrible. The ice cream was freezer burnt and the walnuts were stale. How in the world does an ice cream restaurant serve freezer burnt ice cream and stale walnuts! Looks like I will be limiting my visits to one a year. So sad! read more
