You know when something tastes so good or you are so excited about it, you forget to document it? Yep, that happened here. Sadly no photos... well except for the Carmel Apple. Customer service was great. It smelled like a tiny Hershey's Chocolate Factory inside. They had so many cute things for Easter. I P.F. course had to pick them up. Fancy Easter baskets for the kiddos this year. Ha. The pricing was very reasonable. The fudge was delicious! MASSIVE slabs of fudge! There were only a few flavors, but I preferred to support them over Candy Kitchen. I loved how their apples looked... and tasted. I recommend hitting this place up for some cute fancy chocolates. I went in to purchase an apple. I have enjoyed these apples while in Florida. I walked into the store and it was busy... people kept walking in and there was only one person helping customers.. there was a young guy with long hair (that hung all over the chocolate he was making), l asked him if there was someone else to help... he looked at me and just ignored me. Not sure if we came on a bad day or what. Maybe because it was off-season? Still immensely disappointed with everything (save for the ginormous cashew turtle! That was probably the saving grace!) Everything else? NOT WORTH IT FOR HOW EXPENSIVE IT WAS! Service was lackluster. Staff wasn't rude but they weren't friendly or welcoming. I thought -like most chocolate shops- they would carefully put my chocolates in a small box. Instead the cashier threw them all in a paper bag with each piece wrapped in individual plastic bags. Not only did it feel like a waste, but all my chocolates would come spilling out in various directions when I went to pick one out of the bag -let alone I couldn't really choose which one in this set up! Even after getting one out from the mess, I realized they didn't taste that great, regardless of the truffle. Almond truffle? No almond, just milk chocolate. Dark chocolate hazelnut? No hazelnut, just milk chocolate. Dark chocolate mocha? No mocha, just milk chocolate. Raspberry truffle? Hardly any raspberry flavoring, mostly just tasted like white and milk chocolate. Dark chocolate peanut butter smooth? Again, HARDLY any peanut butter, just mostly the taste of chocolate (at least it truly did taste like dark chocolate that time). Point is: EVERYTHING TASTED THE SAME. To top it all off, the chocolate seemed old too and had that whitish look over a lot of the chocolates. Not sure if it was just a lazy day or what, but I'll tell ya what: that's not a way to run a chocolate store! I'll be spending my money at Candy Kitchen next time. read more

Kilwin's is definitely a family friendly place. The staff here is incredible. Super friendly. My friend and I got our ice cream and we sat outside eating. They were closing at 9 and someone went inside at 8:59 and they welcomed them in. I thought that was super friendly. There's ton to choose from here so if you have a sweet tooth you'll be bound to satisfy it. We went straight towards the ice cream in the back. Tons of flavors to choose from and all home made. I went with a small cake cone with a scoop of cookies and cream and marshmallow s'more. It was delicious. Aside from ice cream they have fudge, bark, pretzels, taffy, anything you can think of really. I'm definitely stopping here to get some fudge before my trip ends! If you're walking the boardwalk I suggest peaking in and seeing for yourself. read more

One favor please- tell the server with the very long hair to tie it back- it is hanging down over the ice cream and made us want to walk out. $15 for a 2 scoop cone and one kids cone is very expensive and we are willing to pay it but the servers should take precautions serving food. read more

Anyways, we asked the blonde girl pictured if we could come in (there were many other people in the shop, as well as many more waiting outside), and she gave us quite the sassy "no." THIS FUDGE IS PHENOMENAL! We ventured into Kilwin's twice in 2 nights. Once for fudge and once for taffy. They have a limited selection of taffy, but boy do they have a great selection of fudge, chocolate candies, and ice cream! We have been eating the fudge for a week, and it is still creamy and delicious! I must compliment the staff. In particular, two young ladies from Transylvania made our stops at Kilwin's fantastic. They were both pretty new to working at Kilwin's, and they really sold us on the fudge. I had no idea they had worked there only a week or so. They seemed like experts and were absolutely wonderful. Is the Fudge good? Yes. But it all stops there. Compared to the Seaside Country Kitchen in Fenwick, this place pales. Here's why; At Seaside you can have as many samples as you want with a smile. When I asked for a taste at Kilwins, I was given a big fat "NO, we don't do that", with a scowl as if I was robbing the place. Seaside cuts their fudge into manageable squares that fit nicely into a box. They have pound boxes and smaller. Kilwins? They make big round logs of fudge, and you have to buy a minimum of half of a slice from the log. They are huge, around an inch and a half thick, and 5 inches across round. Also, they use a flat box for which the round hunks of logs are too big, so the lid has a big lump in it and won't stay closed, you have to tape it. Not exactly a pretty gift to bring home. At Seaside everyone is friendly, you can taste what you want, you can just buy one little piece if you want, oh, and their fudge is $2 a pound cheaper. Will I ever return to Kilwins again? Make that a big fat NO. If you want to treat me like crap, not let me have a small sample, force me to buy an amount I do not want, stuff it into a box that does not fit the product, and overcharge me, you really don't want my business, and you will never, ever, get it again. Do yourself a favor and take a 30-minute drive to Seaside Country Store in Fenwick where it is done right. They both make their own fudge, but only Seaside appreciates their clientele. read more

This is one of the best chocolate/candy stores l have visited. While in Rehoboth Beach and seeking out some goodies for my sweet tooth, we happened upon this store. As we entered, we were met with the wonderful smell of chocolate in the air. There were also various sweet treats that put me on sugar sensory overload. Fudge, brittle, cookies, ice cream,candy apples, and so many other goodies that are just too numerous to name. I finally decided on a couple of bags of nut brittle, pecans, almonds and cashews in a buttery candy brittle that literally melted in your mouth. I also purchased a salted pretzel rod coated in caramel, rolled in pecans and drizzled with dark chocolate...decadent. You know its bad when we made our purchase, went back to our hotel room, started eating our new found goodies and, knowing it was a Saturday and getting late, rushed back to purchase more before the store closed to take back home with us to Baltimore. This will definitely be a repeat visit when we come back to Rehoboth Beach! read more

Came here with my family tonight and out of alllll the ice cream shops in Rehoboth (there are many) I'd say that Kilwin's is the best quality. The shop also makes fudge and chocolates so you know that their chocolate flavors or chocolate chunked ice creams are going to be good. Location wise, it was right on the Main Street, walking distance from where I was staying, and easy street parking was available right in front. The line was pretty long for 9pm on a Thursday but moved somewhat quickly. The workers were very young and not the friendliest in my opinion but that was the only downside. I got a single scoop waffle cone $5.75, but you can ask for two flavors and they still give a lot. I chose the cappuccino chocolate chip and kilwin's track flavors...both were delicious! The texture of the ice cream and the chocolate chunks were what made it my favorite. The waffle cone is handmade and was also tasty, and I was very full after. Would definitely recommend this to others! read more

I called the number on the website and ordered $50 of candy for curbside pickup clearly stating the location. Ashley took my order and charged my card. When I arrived at the store they rudely told me that the order was not there and that this happens all the time. When I asked for an explanation the severe removed her mask and in a raised voice said, "it's not here!". When I called the number where I placed my order they refused to refund my payment.
