I would have rated this slightly lower because the wait was very long BUT we were provided with excellent customer service so it made up for the wait. Me and 3 of my co workers came here after work for breakfast. We were seated and Carlos took our order. He was very friendly despite being rushed around the restaurant. He seemed to be the only waiter...they need some help. After a long while of waiting we asked a employee how our order was coming along. She informed us that the kitchen was backed up and it wouldn't be too much longer. She brought us 2 pitchers of soda in the meantime for the wait :) The food finally came out, and as expected from IHOP it was delicious. I must admit, IHOP is not my go-to place for any meal after breakfast. As a result, although the menu had some really interesting looking sandwiches, I went with what they are known for. Dani and I had waffles, while Lenita indulged her craving for pancakes. The service was quick and efficient; we got drinks within five minutes. Daniyah colored happily while we made or choices. They dipped the ball on our entrées. I requested sausages, but got bacon, and Lenita's potatoes were plain. When they brought the food, it was cool, almost cold. I don't visit IHOP frequently, today my husband wanted to try the burgers. Placing an online order for pick up was easy, painless and fast. I also received a call soon after placing my order to verify and confirm. I was tired and may have come across as aggressive on phone, but I truly appreciate the effort this employee made. When I arrived for pick I noticed the restaurant was nice and clean. The staff was kind, professional and very organized. Carlos the young man who brought our food out (whom I believe was also the caller) was very kind went out of his way to ensure our order was correct and even offered to help us with carry out. The wait was very long but it was a Sunday & we decided to wait so that was that. We finally got called & got sat which our server Carlos came right away and was very attentive to us. He took our orders right away but we waited a long time again in which our food came out really crispy. My bacon and hash browns were super crispy and the hash browns weren't that great to eat. I believe the wait staff should develop more customer service skills or is it that the few times I have been there I get the waitress with an attitude. My last trip I had a long hair under my eggs, at first I thought it was mine, but this was a different color and much thicker than mine. I did not mention it because my waitre5had just sat down with a woman's booth she had been talking to often. I had to wait to pay since a few customers were leaving at the same time as I. I really wanted to mention the hair and the fact that I saw someone smoking in their apron when I parked. Many othet establishments seem to allow this also. I have been here many times with my family and this place is HOR-RI-BLE !!! On many occasions me and my family waited patiently while more than 4 others who had ordered after us were served 1st. The 1st time this happened I simply walked out. The second time after giving it another chance I decided to speak with the manager. I had to threaten to contact corporate before she herself served our table and discounted 15% off our bill. The service is below average and food not cooked the way you asked. When i initially decided to write this review i thought, "hmm...maybe im being to harsh", but upon seeing the other reviews, I no longer feel that way. I visited this ihop on Sunday 2/2. I would like to mention that I had lived in this area 6 years once upon a time so I was familiar with the place. When I initially walked in I was greeted by Samantha. And i use the term "greeted", for lack of a better word. I was more so looked at and beckoned with her hand. She wanted to know how many were in my party. Since i was visiting old friends i didnt exactly know how many and i began to tell her that.. Her response was "hmph" a roll of the eyes and she walked away. I sat down and was greeted by a 10x friendlier person by the name of Ashley, who placed my name on the list and waited till i had confirmation on the number of people. With no fuss might I add. The food was great and the waitress was even better. She had a few tables with parties of more than 5 and she made sure to keep making her rounds. She kept my drink full and THAT is like the biggest thing with me! Definitely appreciated that. Once it was time to leave I went to the front to pay and we had to have our checks split. There was Ashley there to help us but unfortunately she didnt know how to split them with gratuity. She called for Samantha to help her. She walked over and was very dismissive to Ashley. I felt bad for her bc when working in a team environment like that, you need to be able to call on your co workers. Ashley kept explaining that she was unfamiliar with the process and she finally got help from Samantha. Very poor service... I came in a few days ago and had a girl server who at first was very nice but after she gave us our drinks we never saw her again. I was there for TWO hours and finally someone noticed that no one was helping us. The HOST had to come and serve us because our service was so bad. Not only that but when we finally got our food our orders were messed up. Then finally as we're ready for the check, the server comes by and has the audacity to ask how the service was. We didn't say anything when she asked us so she rudely says "I'll bring the manager" when we didn't ask for the manager in the first place.
