This Sizzler location remains one of my absolute favorite eateries. It is conveniently located right off the 215 freeway at the Nuevo exit, next to El Pollo Loco, with plenty of parking. The ordering process is simple: you pay at the counter when you walk in, seat yourself, and the staff brings the food to your table (you can also order online/takeout). The restaurant is consistently clean, organized, and has a great atmosphere. Their salad bar is a major highlight; always well-maintained and stocked with fresh options. During my visit today, I ordered the 'Steak & Malibu Chicken' with mashed potatoes, and it was delicious. The steak was tender and juicy. What truly sets this location apart is the welcoming, friendly, and attentive staff. It is always a fantastic dining experience here, and I will definitely keep coming back. read more

Decided to drop in on the way from Vegas. Glad we did. Enjoyed a delicious food in an air conditioned room. The buffet was a plus on top of my steak dinner. Since most Sizzlers are now closed in San Diego, it was a nice treat to be able to take my kids to enjoy all that Sizzler had to offer. Grace was our server. She was friendly and very attentive. It had been a long time since we last ate at a Sizzler, so when we spotted a sign on the freeway, we didn't hesitate. Sizzler holds a lot of special memories for us from back home, and this visit brought them all flooding back. The service was excellent! Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We had the pleasure of being hosted by Jathleen and served by Maria--both were exceptional, and we were very impressed with how well we were treated. There was also a gentleman who greeted us as soon as we walked in and made sure we were taken care of right away. The food tasted just as it did the last time we had it--delicious and nostalgic. The cheese bread is always such a treat! And the salad bar was impressive: plenty of choices, well-stocked, and well-maintained. The entire team made us feel truly welcome. Came here for dinner and walked away feeling pretty good! Plenty of seating inside with kind service. Ordered three different entrees, but I feel like the portion sizes make the price a bit hard to justify. We upgraded the size of our steaks for $3-$4, but it's still a pretty small cut. Not only that, but we asked for our steaks medium rare, but they were cooked closer to medium. The rice pilaf was probably the tastiest thing! The lobster tail was pretty good, but there's not much meat on it. I walked away feeling full, which is good! I just think the portion sizes should increase considering the prices. read more

Today I stopped In for my usual salad bar and was greeted with very lovely smiles. Priscila and Kathleen made sure to make me feel welcomed. Kathleen was training Priscila on the register and she was being very kind and sweet to her teammate. That was really nice and refreshing to see. They both looked really nice and professional very pretty ladies. I sat down and wast greeted promptly by Yajaira she was also very kind and welcoming. When I called to have my order replaced, the person on the phone said I could only replace the side. She's not out here taking your order (because it's Sizzler, y'all...we order at the front), but she still manages to run the whole place like it's her own. I am beyond disgusted by the way my friends and I were treated this past Sunday. We were having a perfect meal thanks to our amazing server, Lydia, and a great conversation with Will about the menu. It was exactly the kind of hospitality you expect--until the manager decided to ruin it. This manager--a short man with a massive ego--started screaming from across the dining room for Will to go clean tables, right in the middle of our interaction. It was loud, it was aggressive, and it was completely humiliating for everyone involved. When I directly confronted him about his unprofessionalism and how he was disrupting our experience, he didn't even try to apologize. Instead, he looked me and my friends in the face and told us: "I'm the manager, and I'll do what I want."It is disappointing to see such a "short" fuse and a lack of basic leadership skills in a management position. We were enjoying the food and the service from the floor staff, but this manager's attitude completely soured the experience. Sizzler needs to hire management that understands professional decorum; until then, we will not be returning. read more
