What a surprise! When eating at a burger joint connected to an airport for parachutes, I was not expecting much. I was wrong. Friendly service. I met a friend there for lunch to go over some stuff we were organizing. I was able to connect to WiFi, place our order, do our work, and have a great lunch all while watching people safely fall from the sky. There was plenty of seating inside and out. And if you've read my other reviews ya know that good French fries are a must. The Bombshelter did not disappoint. Went to the Bombshelter yesterday for lunch and to watch the skydivers. My wife ordered the veggie burger with sweet potatoes fries. Both the burger and sweet potatoes fries were burnt. She tried to eat the burger but it did not taste good at all. The sweet potato fries were to burnt to eat. I ordered the club sandwich and fries. They were both good. We brought the burnt veggie burger and sweet potato fries to the attention of the waitress. Nothing was done. We have eaten there several times in the past but will not eat there again. read more

Absolutely terrible good. I ordered the beer battered fish platter, batter is burnt on the outside and raw within. Completely unseasoned and borderline disgusting. My girl got the BBQ bacon cheddar burger, meat was also unseasoned and looked like a toddler made it. And daughter got the Philly cheese steak which she stated was ok. However this came out to 75 dollars. Are you fucking kidding me! I will never and I mean never return! If I could give zero stars or even negative stars I would! We ended up here because we received a $15 off coupon from our hot air balloon excursion with Skyline Balloons. The workers were very kind to us with accepting the coupon and were fairly standard with collecting our order. The food was about average price for what you can get for breakfast (about $10-$15 a person). The French toast was fluffy and cooked well. My favorite part about the place was all of the pictures from peoples skydiving adventures. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for this, but it is a very decent option if you're in the area. read more

I didn't know what to expect when we rolled up on our motorcycles from San Diego. Thank goodness the weather cleared up and it was sunny w/ plenty of clouds out here. Because when I left San Diego at 7:45am, there were many patches of thick fog. Any who- the decorations speak for themselves! There's a mannequin in sky dive gear, dangling from the wall. Tons of photos from celebrities (R.I.P.) Patrick Swayze, sky dive groups - local and international! There are 2 sides of Bomb Shelter- and we chose the one with the bar! Yes, I deserved that spicy Bloody Mary with extra olives ( THANK YOU!) On the food side- you go up to the chow line and place your order. Very simple menu- which is fine by me! I'm sure there's something for EVERYBODY here! I stuck with the pancakes- which hit the spot. And I'm such a butter snob (don't hate me!). At least the butter is served room temperature! I snagged me sides of over medium eggs and sausage links. I literally ate every bite! Little did we know, there was a classic car show happening the day we went! Typically they have it on the first Sunday of the month. So, lucky us! The classic car show starts at 1pm, but, you know how it goes! Owners want their spots along the runway! I found this place on yelp thinking it was a nice breakfast spot I could eat at with my fiancé and maybe watch people skydive , I ended up being wrong it's more like a cafe to get something quick when you are skydiving, the workers are rude and seem annoyed when you are looking at the menu they don't really have a huge or good selection. The vibes were so off and gross I had to cancel the order and ask for my money back , the cook had the audacity to ask why . I shouldn't have to explain myself . The ambience was great and it was very interesting to see all the different movie posters. The limited staff seems friendly enough. You must walk up to the register to order. After ordering you must also walk up to the pick up counter and after eating, it seems like you clear your table of trash and dish's to the trash can. Question?!?! Why do they have Extreme (15%, 20% & 25%) tip amounts preloaded in the register when I sign for credit card, after I'm doing all the work? Kinda crazy. Went to Bombshelter for the first time to grab a drink and a bite to eat and it was the worst experience I ever had. No one spoke to me until I went to the bar area and after I finished drinking my Long Island which wasn't the best I went to the other side to order food no one ever acknowledged me and two employees seen me standing at the order area for about 10 mins and didn't ask me once if I needed help to place order some food so I left and will never come back here again but this happens when you are dining while BLACK!!! read more

Fun restaurant and bar located in the middle of all the sky diving action! Food was great! Lots of photos and memories to browse. They have a huge TV as well. Very friendly staff. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the restaurant but you get to see all the sky divers preparing for their flights. I enjoyed watching them land right from my seat. Not Bad. A-OK pretty much sums it up. We went on a Hot Air Ballon ride next door and our ride came with some vouchers for breakfast here. This place is super inexpensive and they carry your basic breakfast and lunch items. My friend and i both got the breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes, cheese and bacon. The burrito was HUGE and the salsa was good. My only complaint was that the cheese wasn't melted inside. Just thrown in. We also ordered two bloody marys which had way way way too much tomato juice. It was cool to eat and watch the sky divers in the sky. My kids were so amused looking at the sky. That part is pretty cool. Would I eat here again? Probably not. However, if I were doing the train event again then maybe I would come back. The food was average. Overall it was an okay experience. I would consider it similar to bar food. It wasn't bad. You found the place lol I was out in Perris for a hot air balloon ride early on a Saturday morning and the reason I stopped by here to grab a bite to eat was because my ride came with a voucher for a free breakfast. The Bombshelter is such a cool restaurant, it's located right smack in the middle of all the action. You can sit indoors or outdoors and watch all the people skydiving, planes taking off and landing, and even the hot air balloon rides. As you walk in the restaurant it is pretty big and has a full size bar, mind you the bar was closed due to it being first thing in the morning on my visit. To order your food you walk up to the cashier place your order and when it's ready they bring it to your table. I ordered the French Toast with eggs and it was good, I don't think you can mess that up (basic breakfast). Service was very mediocre, not much of it going on. Parking is free and lots of spaces. Just walking up to this place, with it's location right in the middle of the Skydive Perris environment, held lots of promise. I told Dear Hubby, "I don't care what the food tastes like - I'm going to give it five stars." Okay, so I spoke too soon. The Chinese Chicken Salad I had wasn't as good as the location and view, though the salad dressing was quite tangy and delicious. The lettuce had too much of the hard inner leaves, which can be bitter. The best part about a visit here is certainly the chance to be wrapped in the ambiance of a skydiving adventure. Even if you're not a jumper yourself, there is a constant stream of activity in the adjacent training / waiting areas. Planes come and go on the runways. Then, after a ten minute wait or so, gently drifting down come the skydivers with their colorful parachutes fanned out above them. We didn't spend much time inside the restaurant, just long enough to figure out where to go to order and pay. Once that's done, you get an order number, which gets called out over a loudspeaker. A window to the kitchen is the place to go claim your food. People in the know had it all figured out, but as newcomers it was a bit confusing. We found a seat out on the deck, overlooking a swimming pool with lounge chairs around it, then the runways beyond. The landing zone is quite close to the restaurant, affording a great view of all the activity. Watching the skydivers striding back to home base clutching their chutes seems like vitality personified. Many head to the cafe and bar when they're done jumping for the day to grab a beer or a snack and shoot the breeze about their experiences of the day. All in all, this is a fascinating place to be to soak up the atmosphere surrounding the skydiving world. read more

I usually like this place but the service has really gotten bad lately. Today was the worst. I understand things are slower due to COVID but today's service was not acceptable. I went online and it said it was. Open til 2pm.
