Five stars for The Brunch Spot! This is our second time coming here and it is so yummy every single time. The first time I had the pork belly benedict and it was incredible. This time my husband and I shared the chilaquiles and wow... so good. Our son loves the pancakes with egg and bacon, which makes it an easy win for the whole family. The prices are reasonable for what you get, the portions are great, and the customer service is always friendly. It's definitely a popping place -- super busy and high energy. The only downside is that it's loud, so it's not really a quiet date spot where you can have deep conversation. But if you're looking for a fun, lively brunch vibe with good music and great food, this is it. I'm not drinking right now, but their drinks look amazing and everyone around us who ordered one said they were delicious. They also offer a 90-minute all-you-can-drink mimosa option, where you basically get your own bottle for the table, which is a fun option if that's your thing. BRILLIANT BRUNCH ITEMS & COFFEE! I came with my Mom for brunch and we had a spectacular experience. We both ordered The Brunch Spot's café de olla, made in-house. It was excellent coffee, it had piloncillo and the perfect spice. Best of all, it came with free refills, yassss! I ordered a birria omelette which came with beans and home potatoes. The birria was juicy and the meal wasn't too salty. Additionally, I topped it off with an order of Conchita French Toast (a Mexican concha sweet bread, French Toast style). Everything was fresh, authentic, and delicious. Service was good, I appreciated the fast pace of the restaurant, yet it still felt mellow. Food was really good, but unfortunately the service completely changed the experience. Our server, Natalia, seemed very uninterested from the start. We asked if we could order, and she didn't come back for about 10 minutes. When she finally did, I stacked the menus to hand to her and she snatched them out of my hand hard, without even saying thank you. She kept a straight face the entire time and never once checked on our table after taking the order. We also specifically ordered an iced drink, and it still came out hoteven the receipt showed it was supposed to be iced. The whole vibe was honestly uncomfortable. The server and I look around the same age, so I really didn't understand the weird attitude toward us from the beginning. As someone who works as a server myself, I understand busy shifts happen, but basic kindness and communication go a long way. I hope management addresses this because the food was great, but the service did not match the quality of the restaurant. read more

Really cool new little brunch spot. I liked the lighting in the building. It's connected with the Tacos & Beer restaurant next door. My husband got the country fried steak and he said he really enjoyed it and also the gravy. He got the strawberry lemonade as well which was good too. I got the chilaquiles omelette which I LOVED! You can choose if you want the red, green, or chipotle chilaquiles in it and I chose chipotle. The chips were awesome and thick and crispy. Tastes like they make them in house. The potatoes were super delicious too. I got the dragonfruit refresher and had to get a refill on it to go because it was so good. They also gave us complimentary strawberry empanadas that aren't on the menu and they were amazing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because my omelette came with beans that have meat in it. I double checked that my food had no meat when ordering because I'm a pescatarian (I only eat fish) and was told there was no meat. The menu didn't say it came with beans either. I found out there was meat by taking a bite of the beans. I asked a staff member if there was meat in them and they said no, but when I asked my server she confirmed that yes there was meat in them. Let's start with the food. We ordered the Chilaquiles for Two platter, which included chilaquiles with both chipotle and green sauce, eggs, NY strip steak, beans, potatoes, and café de olla. Overall, the food was very good. The chipotle and green sauces for the chilaquiles were especially well made and full of flavor. The NY strip steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. While the beans were average, the potatoes were nicely seasoned and enjoyable. The café de olla was excellent -- rich, flavorful, and clearly well prepared. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, and the meal was definitely worth the price. The service, however, could use some improvement. Staff did not check in frequently to see if we needed anything, and at one point attempted to deliver another table's food to us, even after we informed them it was not ours. While it is understandable that brunch spots can get busy, it seemed that more attention was given to guests ordering alcoholic beverages. The overall atmosphere had an ok vibe. However, whether due to the music volume or the number of guests, it was difficult to hold a conversation while dining, as it was hard to hear across the table. In summary, it is a nice place to visit and try at least once. I am unsure if it would become a regular spot for me, but I may consider returning in the future to see if customer service has improved. read more

I used to come here regularly, but it will be a LONG while, if ever, to come back. I love their food and cafe de olla, but their service is always lacking, even on a Monday morning when the place is half empty. And unfortunately, for places like this, it's the service that eventually ends up doing them in. My wife and I went in for brunch on Valentine's Day, and although we went in knowing it was going to be packed, we decided to sit at the bar and take our chances. It took a few minutes to finally get our food and drink order in, but nothing worse than usual. About 10 minutes after we were seated, another couple was seated next to us. My wife and I were enjoying our drinks and having great conversation, so I wasn't too worried or upset that the couple next to us got their food way before us. After waiting for about an hour, we decided to ask for the check to pay for our drinks. The bartender called over a gentleman named Johnny, and he didn't seem too concerned about the situation. While he was printing out our check, or pretending to, he started having a conversation with another employee about a completely different situation. I immediately called him out on it, and he seemed to get upset, and handed me my check. I don't know if he was the manager, but not even offering to comp us for our drinks after such horrible service was ridiculous. As we were getting up to walk away, the food was arriving. Again, the service here has never been good, but this was beyond bad. Johnny never offered an apology or an alternative solution. If he is the manager or a manager, I will definitely not be going back while he is employed there. read more

Went with my husband for a brunch date and we were satisfied with the overall experience. We were greeted and seated as soon as we entered. We ordered the breakfast burger and chilaquiles omelette. The presentation was appealing. The flavors and texture from the omelette were so good!! Oh and I ordered a latte (omg I forgot the name) but it had condensed milk and was presented in the cutest cup! The portion was also big!! The service was horrible. Went to this place to celebrate a birthday (party of 7) and I was disappointed at the lack of service received. We were seated right away, however it took over 10 minutes for someone to finally come to our table to ask if we wanted something to drink. When we ordered our food they brought out 1 plate at a time. I don't understand why the lack of service because there were plenty of servers just standing around the bar chit chatting. We had to get up and get our own napkins as well. Service needs immediate improvement. The other location in Temecula is top notch, it's our usual go to spot however, this time we decided to try this location and I'm sorry to say it was a big disappointment. The background music was so loud and boisterous that it was very agitating. In no way could we relax and enjoy the food or each other's company with the loud, raucous music playing. The Food was Exceptional. The Shrimp and Grits was full of flavor and the Grits was so creamy and flavorful. Let's talk about the Brioche Pudding French toast. I'll get the restaurant a one, but I'll give Enrique and five that kid is going places he never stopped moving from the moment we walked in cleaning tables hosting bussing filling b coffee and I have a feeling that he was out server this mistake would have been handled properly. He is the only person that came to check on us and let's be honest. The only person that actually looks like he cares !!! We placed our order and have been waiting on food for now over 45 mins .. the sever clearly saw the frustration in my face but never came to check on us or ask if we needed more coffee or even give us an update on the long wait .
