It pains me to say, this isn't the same taco shop my family and I always went to growing up. We've been coming here since I was a kid and now coming back to visit Hemet, we had to stop by. I heard they were under new ownership and all the interior decor has been updated to be more modern with a nicer menu and they accept credit card now, which is great. Food wise, we were SO disappointed. Their California burrito was $13 (pricier than our absolute best CA burrito in San Diego that costs $9) and given Hemet is a bit less populous than San Diego - we thought $13 was a bit much. We were even more disappointed when the entire burrito was full of sour cream. Like we thought maybe it wasn't spread out properly but it really was an entire burrito FULL of sour cream. It was basically a sour cream wrap with a bit of fries and bits of steak - nothing else. We added our own salsa from the bar and that made it a it better but it was incredibly disappointing to see an expensive burrito that really had no content. I'm a major fan of the breakfast burritos here (order the classic!). they're the undisputed winners of the valley when it comes to breakfast burritos. You can get all kinds of Mexican dishes here, enchiladas, tacos, flautas, chilaquiles etc. There's something for everyone and you can come in a small group or by yourself. I usually find the place to be on the quieter side, however it can get busy! Don't worry the staff is super efficient and quick! The line catches up to you in a flash. Well, it has been a couple of years, and I have to say this is mine and my fiancé's go to Mexican spot. We love the food and the customer service is great. We still get freshly made chips and salsa. Every time we order they have a new guava passion, fruit drink that is amazing. They specials up on their board that change daily, But my fiancé and I stick to their usual specials that come with the food and the drink, which is a great deal. They have a variety of salsas to choose from as well as drinks, and they also have some desserts. The ambience is great as well. read more

I generally like everything I've tried except the carne asada nachos.. They were very small and just not very good. However I thoroughly enjoy their shredded beef tacos and sopes of any kind!! The sopes are some of the best I've tried.. I always like their rolled tacos and salsa.. I enjoy the burritos because they have good flavor with onions and cilantro and the guac is fresh. A complete hit or miss! I love their amazing fish tacos and their street tacos. It was our go to fast food. Sometimes they are great while other times they are just meh. Howeve, we continued to return because of the convenience of their location in regards to distance from our neighborhood. We got the California burrito and it was the most disgusting thing ever. It was filled with gristle and cartilage. That's not even the worst! They put the whole egg including the egg shells!! There were not just bits and pieces that may have been added by accident, they were full obvious hard to miss chunks!! Due to the onset of the hurricane, we ordered these burritos on the evening of Friday the 19th alongside our dinner, so that we could have them the next morning for breakfast. We ate at this establishment twice a week! Every Saturday for dinner and then my husband would get the burritos every Sunday morning. Came in today looking for the best Carne Asada burrito in Hemet. This place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. The inside is very festive and the decor is vibrant. This place is CASH ONLY but they do have an ATM inside. The service was good. I waited about 10 minutes for my food. They have taco Tuesday specials which I took a picture of. I was impressed by their salsa bar varying in hotness degrees. My husband really likes the habanero level 8 and the most spicey. We ordered 3 shredded beef rolled tacos and the Carne Asada burrito that came out to $14 and some change. I am not sure why they put beans in their Carne Asada but they did as well as rice. It was just ok. The rolled tacos were good. I would come back here again, but not for that burrito. read more

The location on Yale is THE BEST!!!!!!! The steak is good, not greasy or fatty at all. The girls working are always so nice and helpful. Always a pleasant interaction.
