Carne asada, birria, and al pastor tacos

My boyfriend and I have been coming here since it opened and we love it! The best taco Tuesday deals in town! The carne asada and al pastor is bomb. The staff is always so nice and friendly and they always have your order prepared quickly. This is our favorite taco spot in town.

Lengua tacos, tripa tacos, & carne asada tacos

Food was BOMB! We had tripa tacos, carne asada tacos and lengua tacos. Service was fast. Good music style. Definitely coming back!

My overall experience rating... "one greasy chip"

Not impressed. Stopped in for lunch with a friend. We each ordered burritos... one chicken and one carnitas. My friend cannot eat pork for medical reasons. We got several bites into the burritos before we noticed that they mislabeled them. We brought it to their attention and they guys all argued about it, placing blame on each other. Then they told us they were out of chicken. Basically, "too bad". All we wanted was for them to remake our food. Won't go back there. Don't you people understand customer service? Do SOMETHING to make it right with the customer. But they just don't care. Sorry, I guess you just have to eat food that has already been bitten into. We spent $35 on 2 burritos and 2 bottled beers!

Wanted to give it a try after it changed ownership and name. I was honest not impressed I was ready to experience the great flavors I've read about. I ordered lengua, tripa and birria: lengua was over cooked (meat too over cooked (no lengua texture) and not much flavor), tripa was too fried and too chewy.. you ask how can that be? Well for some reason it wasn't cooked evenly. The birria?! Didn't taste like birria (it was like adobada with thick sauce) The salsas are too watery that made the tortilla break! The cilantro is mixed with onions... needs to be separated! I wished someone (owner) would really taste the food they are serving customers! You must know that you at wont serving Mexican tacos! Gave it a 3 for location, cleanliness and staff! Or would of given 1 Will not be coming back, not thrilled Oh and by the way! Don't get fooled by the pictures, no guacamole/avocado added on tacos.. they have a guacamole salsa but it's very watered down.. they don't give you tacos with any condiments.. they have the salsa bar! I've read where people say "they add guacamole!" It's a lie,

Found this place on our drive home. I wanted tacos. The Female staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the carne asada and Al pastor tacos. Al pastor comes with pieces of pineapple. You add vegetables and salsa. They serve with a liquid guacamole. We ordered a fresh chunky guacamole on side they have for additional price. Tacos were okay. Decent flavor. Good portion for a street taco. I am from San Diego and harsh critic on tacos because we eat them in Tijuana and nothing compares to TJ tacos

The cracks in most of the table tops are filled with uncleaned food.

We had an interesting experience at Los 3 Trompos. We ordered our food (2 of us) and when we received it, the 2 burritos were labeled. We both bit into our food only to discover that the labeling was incorrect and we had each taken a bite of the other's burrito. We brought it to the attention of the employees that the burritos were mislabeled and that we didn't care to be eating from the other person's food so, could they please replace the burritos, for sanitary reasons. What ensued afterwards was an argument between the workers, about whose fault it was. Bickering and loud accusations and fingerpointing. We waited a minute for the arguing to die down, stating that it was okay, we weren't worried about who made a mistake, mistakes happen and, asked if we could have the burritos replaced. At this point, things got a bit strange and the person running the register told us that they were out of chicken and couldn't remake one of the burritos. We asked for clarification about being out of chicken and were told "Well, we would have to cut some more up and cook it." This seemed a bit strange because there were six or eight other people in the restaurant and several people coming in the door waiting to place orders. We politely ask that they sort it out because we would like to eat and they all went back to arguing about whose fault it was. We waited for almost 20 minutes and finally just cut the eaten ends off of our respective burritos and ate what was left over. We never did receive replacement food, nobody ever came by to talk to us and, the workers didn't make eye contact with us when we got up to leave. I'm guessing they their hope was that we would just go away. I'm not going to speculate on why they didn't think they could, or didn't want to, or didn't need to replace our food or even talk with us again. What I will say is, the actions of the workers speak for the business itself. Unprofessional, undisciplined, poorly run and, should be avoided. As far as the food quality goes, our partially eaten burritos were cold by the time we got back to them so, they were okay and I would say, nothing special as far as flavor, portion size or presentation goes. As far as the ambiance and condition of 3 Trompos, The tables weren't bussed, the interior wasn't very clean and, most of the table tops were split in places with uncleaned food sticking out of the cracks. A passing picture is attached to this review. As far as service goes, I think the first part of my review says it all. Anybody going to this restaurant should question the ethics of the workers and, most likely question the ethics of the owners as well. I'm giving Los 3 Trompos two stars only because I didn't wind up with food poisoning after eating there. I invite the management or the owners of this establishment to reply to my review, I would love to hear their take on what we experienced.

I was in the mood for a quesadilla and googled a spot... and let me tell you how amazing it was! We also got 2 tacos and they were also really good. Customer service was also great! Quick and yummy food definitely recommend checking out.

We came here tonight because we heard this olace had good food and albondigas soup. After arriving, I was immediately greeted upon entrance. The decor is as vibrant as the music that was playing. I immediately smiled. I love the fact that I can see the cooks and I can watch them. I watched while I waited my turn to order. They do NOT have albondigas soup, lol. Kaitlyn was the sweet girl who took my order. She was very patient, helping me navigate because it was my first time here. I ordered my husband an AL Pastor taco with the pineapple on the side... but they didn't have any pineapple, so we took it plain. I also ordered a carne asada nachos for him. I ordered a lengua burrito for myself being bold and allowing it with the beans and rice inside the burrito. My husband enjoyed the taco and the nachos, although he isn't a fan of white cheese. I really enjoyed my burrito except that there was too much salt, which I masked with the avocado salsa. I will definitely come back here again to try some other things, especially on Sundays when our favorite taco shop is closed. You should come check this place out yourself!

Some of the reviews on Yelp for Los 3 Trompos left me a little hesitant to try this place out. Nevertheless, I disregarded them and came to try it out for myself, lol. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I was there a little before noon so I beat the lunch rush. The lady took my order and then they began to work on the food. It was ready in a good amount of time. I had time to get a table, serve myself salsa and other options, and then took them back to the table. I tried a variety of items including mulitas, quesadillas and tacos. I also tried a variety of meats, including asada, lengua, cabeza, and pastor. I was surprised they had lengua. Lately, I have had the luck that they have lengua in the menu, but they never have it in stock -__- . All the meats had a good flavor. The lengua was probably the one with least taste, but most places are similar and then I add the seasoning and salsa. The portions were a good size and their salsa options were pretty good too. Good experience overall.

Some at the bar, others by the booth, most seats have a good view of the action. During my visit, I tried the Tacos Gobernador with a side of beans. I paired my meal with a 16oz of Voodoo Ranger. It was refreshing and satisfying for a chilly night in Spring. Overall, the atmosphere was clean and pleasant. All the other guests drank responsibly and families were present. Service was mostly good, one of the younger guys running the cash register was amazing! He was very professional and friendly. Our server girly was forgetful though, she brought my meal out first within 10 mins (which was great) but forgot my beans for over 45 mins. I had to ask another lady at the counter for my beans and she brought them out cold. Mm, can't we reheat these? Thankfully, they tasted good, but this was not an ideal experience.

It was good, but it was very, very salty, so that kind of killed the flavor in a way the fire roasted wings they were boneless they had really good flavor however it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be but all in all they were good and it was wing Wednesday so they were eight dollars can't beat that however, the burrito I was a little more disappointed in only because of the fact that it was salty. Everything else was fine with it. It had good flavor again just too salty for me. This place is awesome though they have food. It's attached to the grocery store. I love that the vibes are always awesome inside of that place and everyone's super nice so I only took off a star because of the burrito being salty. I live so close to this place so this is like a little home bar. I'll definitely be back.

Hey Brian, I wanted…read moreto reach out about something that happened tonight that I feel you should know about. I also want to be clear that all of this transpired after you had already left for the evening. For context, I'm a regular at the bar and have been coming in for quite a while. I've never had a major issue with Brent or Steven, even though they both have personalities that can come across as sarcastic or abrasive. I've generally let it go because my reason for coming to the bar is simple: I come in to have a few beers, relax, and enjoy myself. Tonight, while I was still drinking one of my beers and had some left in the glass, Brent came by and took it away as if I was finished. I jokingly said something along the lines of, "I guess you're not going to let me finish the last bit." I wasn't upset and wasn't trying to start an argument. It was an obvious mistake that could have been solved with a simple apology. Instead, he responded with a snarky comment rather than acknowledging the mistake. Later, he brought another beer to my table. I made eye contact with him and before I could even say anything, he asked, "Do you want to say something to me?" I replied, "No, I just wanted to say thank you." His response was, "Your eyes are telling me differently." Again, I found that unnecessarily confrontational and disrespectful. At that point, I decided to leave a $0 tip. I normally tip very well, often around 30% or more, and this was the first time I've intentionally left no tip because I wanted to send a message that I was unhappy with the way I was being treated. After that, Steven came over and confronted me about leaving no tip. He asked if I was really zeroing it out and questioned me about whether something had happened between me and Brent. I told him that whatever issue I had was not his concern, and he responded, "Fair enough." I assumed that would be the end of it. Instead, Brent came outside and confronted me. He told me Steven had said I had a problem with him. I explained that I didn't have a personal problem with him; my issue was his attitude and the way he was treating me as a customer. Rather than listening, he became increasingly hostile. I reminded him that I'm a customer and that I'm only there to buy beer from the business. I'm not there to deal with sarcasm, attitude, or an employee's emotions. As a paying customer, the minimum I expect is basic respect. I shouldn't have to walk on eggshells or accept being spoken to disrespectfully while simply trying to enjoy a beer. That confrontation ended poorly and he went back inside. A short time later, he came back out and confronted me again, this time in front of other customers. The situation became even more uncomfortable because it was happening publicly. During that exchange, he ultimately told me that I was not welcome back. Again, I reminded him that I am a paying customer whose only purpose in being there is to support the business and enjoy a beer. I should not be getting into arguments with employees, being confronted in front of other patrons, or being told I'm not welcome because I expressed concerns about how I was being treated. The bigger issue is that, in my opinion, this isn't just about tonight. This has been months in the making. I've noticed a pattern with both Brent and Steven where they seem to have become comfortable treating customers with attitude and sarcasm in ways that shouldn't be acceptable in a customer-facing role. I've overlooked it many times because I enjoy the bar and didn't think it was worth making an issue out of. On the other hand, employees like Kim, Josh, and David have always treated me and other customers with professionalism and respect. They know how to joke around while still making customers feel welcome. I've never had an issue with them. From my perspective, the problem is specifically Brent and, to a lesser extent, Steven. Brent especially has developed a demeanor that I find unwelcoming, confrontational, and disrespectful toward customers. I don't think I'm the only person who feels this way. Tonight was simply the point where it crossed a line. I'm not sending this because I want anyone fired or punished. I simply think you should know what happened, especially since it all occurred after you had left. I've spent a lot of time and money at your establishment over the years, and I would hope that customers--especially regulars--can expect basic courtesy and respect from the people serving them. I wanted to give you my side of the story directly. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The folks/beertenders were very friendly and you can tell they're enthusiastic about craft beer and the craft beer community. At the time of my visit, I noticed some cans from some of my favorite breweries in the LA and SD area. The place feels like a craft beer oasis in that it's a bit of a destination and I'm not sure what else is around. Although, to be fair, I don't live in the immediate area and don't really know the area that well in terms of craft beer offerings. Definitely a spot I would like to frequent. There seemed to be plenty parking when I went. Not sure if it get's really crowded when some more of the surrounding businesses are open, but I had plenty of spaces to chose from.

Finding out this was a family run small business made this even more impressive as it was a full house. Additionally, it felt like the entire bar was excitedly watching the FIFA game, which was surprising because the difference in noise level from the outside of the building was significant. From the bar perspective, the bartenders were so kind (A), provided short/sweet conversation and excellent recommendations (A+), AND gave us time to look over the menu without being pushy (A++). I tried the lavender buzz and the oso espresso martini, my girlfriend had a lavender lemonade seltzer both being DELICIOUS.
