This is most disgusting place I've even been and extremely rude. My family and I went to spend time with our mom. I wish we could have gone somewhere else. They took our order . Okay that went well. Butttttttt! When it was time to bring our orders!!!! They were bringing them one by one! .... Every 20 minutes. By the time my mom's husband got his order. We were all eating our meals cold. And to top it off , it was wrong and COLD!!! WTF!! I ask to ask for the manager and she was so rude!' Saying to me. All restaurants do the same!! And walked away. I was like No I don't think so!! My grandpa finally brought me a bowl of Caldo De Res after raving about this place for so long. It was fantastic. I ate it the day after and it still tasted so fresh and flavorful. There was plenty of meat and it was all so tender without too much fat. There were plenty of veggies in it too. My grandpa eats here with a group of family each month and always says the service and ambiance are fantastic. I'll eventually make my way there someday, but for now I definitely enjoyed the soup. read more

We stopped by El Jalapeño in Hemet. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was solid, nothing that really stood out as exceptional, but definitely enjoyable. Service was friendly, and the place had a relaxed, casual feel. Prices were on the higher side of what I'd call "usual" for this type of spot. Not unreasonable, just worth noting. One thing that caught my eye was the suggested tip amounts on the receipt. They go all the way up to 30%. I'm always happy to tip 15% (or more) for good service, but 30% feels a little aggressive for a casual meal like this. That aside, it's a place I'd visit again if I was in the area and in the mood for something reliable and familiar. read more

First I ordered a quesadilla for $12 but the tortilla was uncooked, soft and soggy, but stuffed inside, no way of picking it up and it wasn't cut, I asked for everything on the side and they still put it all inside. It's wasn't a quesadilla at all, more like an open burrito. Then I asked for a chimichanga which is $15 but was 3x smaller than the quesadilla, had almost nothing inside, just a little meat. -Picked up and drove home excited to eat but unfortunately no Bueno. Ordered beand rice and cheese with sour cream. - No flavor at all - No cheese at all Beans tasted like they've been sitting to long and not stirred enough. Asked for sour cream and got this little kids scoop right in the middle. The tortilla was not warmed up long enough. - Fries were soggy with no salt. Tried very hard to eat the burritos because my wife and i were hungry but couldn't. Ended up driving back to return the burritos and had to pretty much battle it out with the manager for my money back. Such a let down. It's interesting how restaurants are so fast at taking our money but such a hassle when what you order wasn't good. Especially when the customer takes the time to drive back. My family and I love this place. It's real authentic home cooked quality Mexican food. The tortillas are ridiculously hot, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend two dishes. First Camerones A La Diabla (OMG) if you like spicy I mean SPICY try this. The sauce has so much flavor and kick. Second dish is the mixed Fajitas. I get this everytime! The meat has so much flavor and they don't skimp out on the meat and just give you a bunch of veggies either. My daughter's favorite is the seafood soup. The only problems I have is they put wine not tequila in the margaritas. And they bring out your food first and most of the time I'm waiting five minutes or more to get the tortillas that should come with the meal. But other than that I highly recommend. read more

This is our favorite hole in the wall! The customer base is almost entirely Latino, so you know, right away, it's authentic!! I love their fried taco combination plates. Sometimes I get an enchilada & taco and other times 2 tacos. We brought our adult grandkids here, one who is full Mexican, and he agreed. His burrito was amazing. They don't have a liquor license, so beer, wine or wine margaritas is it for cocktails. I LOVE place. read more
