While telling us to leave, Bella even said, "We want to go home at 9:00 PM," as if that justified asking paying customers to leave before the restaurant had even closed. We explained that the restaurant wasn't closed yet and that we would leave at 9:00 PM when your posted closing time arrived. We simply wanted to finish the meal we had just paid for in peace. Bella became very rude and insisted we had to leave. When we mentioned that we didn't think a manager would approve of asking paying customers to leave before closing, she claimed the manager allows her to do this. I find that very hard to believe. After going back and forth, I told her that if she wanted us out before closing, she could call the police, but we were not leaving until the restaurant actually closed. We ended up finishing our food at 8:56 PM, got up, and left exactly as we had said we would. As we walked out, the police were pulling into the parking lot. This entire situation was completely unnecessary and incredibly disrespectful. Paying customers should never be rushed out or kicked out while they are still halfway through their meal simply because employees want to finish mopping or go home sooner. If your closing time is 9:00 PM, customers who arrive before then should be allowed to enjoy the food they purchased without being harassed. I would really like to speak with the owner because Bella claimed she is allowed to treat customers this way. If that's true, it's a serious problem. But, the manager's shocking behavior entirely ruined our experience. Will not return. * The Good: The facility is stunning. without a reservation, the staff stil accomidated our large group with a private room. The sever was attentive, friendly, and very perky. As well, the kitchen served a large group incredibly fast. * The Problem: One guest ordered a medium-rare steak that came out completely overcooked. When she asked for a remake, the manager came out and insulted her to her face, told her that if he remade it it would be exactly the same, then sarcastically asked if she "wanted him to slap down a raw steak on her plate." She said it was fine, kept the food, then later left the table and broke into tears in the restroom. * The Confrontation: After dinner, I approached him calmly to offer polite, constructive criticism based on professional customer service experience (worked restaurants for years in a restaurant my family owned) He became fiercely stubborn, denied the insult, and grew so aggressive and volatile that I had to walk away. * The Staff's View: Tellingly, multiple staff members whispered comments to our group about how awful this manager is to work for. It is a shame that a hardworking kitchen and great servers are being weighed down by a manager who lacks basic human decency and conflict-resolution skills. We spent a lot of money to be insulted. Ownership needs to step in immediately.
