It was some of the best fried chicken I've had to this day but they closed years ago. And I moved to Temecula. So it's been on my list to go this location for a while but it's still a drive so when my son had a golf tournament at Soboba I had to make plans to take him here. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was on a move set of my childhood. The layout and furnishings were exactly like the location in Pasadena forty years ago! From the waiting area to the hostess stand to bathroom back in the far corner. Even the way the booths and tables were organized. It has a very western Americana vibe to it. The service was exceptional. The kind of service you only get in long established family owned restaurants that employ people for decades. Our waitress was great and attentive and kind. We got the onion ring stack to start. It was great but next time I'll get the zucchini fries which looked amazing. For our entrees we got the stockyard, burger and split the sides. Backed potato, salad and chili soup. The chili soup was t as good as the one I grew up going to but still passable. The backed potato was awesome! And the stockyard was great as well. Served on a sizzling metal plate everything stayed hot the whole meal. The burger was good but would probably opt for something else next time. And the Texas toast... forgedda bout it! Everything else we tried was equally bad and clearly low quality. It felt unsafe to eat. The customer service was just as bad as the food. Staff were rude dismissive and completely uninterested in fixing anything. When we complained we were ignored. No apology no concern and no accountability. This place has no business serving food. Do not waste your money or risk getting sick. There are far better options anywhere else. ill be checking to make sure this well deserved bad review stays this time. if not i have no problem reposting obviously since this is the 7th time.

They had the long table in the middle set up for us and were quick and ready to get us all seated and served. The inside of the restaurant is small but very charming, with lots of airplane memorabilia and decor. The outside has a nice covered patio where you can actually watch some of the planes taking off or landing if you're lucky with your timing. Our large group got our food out very quickly. I'm so impressed by how fast they work while having the food still tasting fresh and hot. We were especially impressed by the special hot dog one of us ordered (I forgot the exact name), but it was loaded with toppings and she could barely get through half of it. Such a deal! I got the Irish melt and loved the flavor of the corned beef mixed with the coleslaw. The fries were also just crispy enough with a nice, fluffy inside. Of the many other times I've been here, every item has been delicious and affordable! I will continue stopping by for a delicious, quick, and lovey breakfast or brunch any time I'm in the area!

As well, the kitchen served a large group incredibly fast. * The Problem: One guest ordered a medium-rare steak that came out completely overcooked. When she asked for a remake, the manager came out and insulted her to her face, told her that if he remade it it would be exactly the same, then sarcastically asked if she "wanted him to slap down a raw steak on her plate." She said it was fine, kept the food, then later left the table and broke into tears in the restroom. * The Confrontation: After dinner, I approached him calmly to offer polite, constructive criticism based on professional customer service experience (worked restaurants for years in a restaurant my family owned) He became fiercely stubborn, denied the insult, and grew so aggressive and volatile that I had to walk away. * The Staff's View: Tellingly, multiple staff members whispered comments to our group about how awful this manager is to work for. It is a shame that a hardworking kitchen and great servers are being weighed down by a manager who lacks basic human decency and conflict-resolution skills. We spent a lot of money to be insulted. Ownership needs to step in immediately.

This place has pretty good food but their speaker at the drive thru has been broken for like over a year and you wait about half an hour in the drive thru. Today we ordered two meals and fried zucchini. We get home after already waiting 30 minutes and we got chicken strips instead of zucchini. When I call they say they don't know about that and she asks what my receipt says. Damn well knowing the receipt does not list anything we ordered, Just the price. Then I ask if they can deliver them and we will give them back the chicken strips. She tells me she's not sure if they can do that and they will have to see... There are four orders ahead of mine.. Etc.. (Doesn't even ask where we live, what if we are the way to one of those other orders?) I also said we wait would wait for the the orders to be delivered. She kept giving me the run around so I hung up. Terrible service every single time. read more
