This place used to be very delicious with good portions and great customer service. I don't know what has happened..maybe they switched meat vendors? My husband and mother in law both got sick after eating a burrito de asada and 2 tacos de asada and carnitas. Stomach aches and vomiting. I didn't eat there that time as I have many times before. We thought it was a one time thing and went again recently. We ordered to go this time and our food was freshly made when we got there. My husband ordered an asada burrito, 2 asada tacos and I ordered the asada nachos. Hubby ate the 2 asada tacos and the burrito he was going to eat half that day and half another day but the burrito accidentally fell on the floor so we threw it away immediately (I'm very much a person that believes everything happens for a reason and I'm glad he didn't eat half of the burrito). He and I shared my nachos. We both got super sick.. we had twisting stomach pains, nausea and vomiting. It was awful. Please look into this issue. read more

I cannot get enough of this place ! I always order the molcajete and share it with my husband and I've never been disappointed. They always have music playing and the service is always great !! A decent restaurant for the area. The area it is in is NOT clean to say the least. Plenty of homeless and trash in the area. The food is agreeable and portion sizes are good but lacks some flavor. Nice size restaurant. Staff greeted upon entrance. It was my first time there, I was excited to try, because I had heard good things. I actually ordered to go. I think it took 15-20 minutes which I felt was good timing. I went straight home which took about 5 minutes. When I opened my container I was confused. I ordered Chile Relleno and a beef enchilada combination. They put my enchilada on top of the refried beans, which I didn't figure what was what into I started cutting into the food and eating it. I ordered another combination with a taco and chicken enchilada for my mom. For that order they placed the taco in separate container. I will say the shredded beef was very good. Seasoned and almost melted in my mouth. I will probably try this place again. I would be interested to try the tacos. The rice and beans in the combination were underwhelming, but that beef leads me to believe there's more to be uncovered here. read more

I have been to both locations in Murrieta, but have to say hands down to the Perris team. Attentiveness, cleanliness, quality, all excellent. Asked for a booth and took the opportunity to sit by the bar. Music was lively, chatter in full, and Fernando greeted us in less than 5 minutes of being seated. From ordering to receiving our beverages (no alcohol) followed by our meal, it took less than 15 minutes. It was impressive because they were so busy! Our dishes were perfect and no morsel left behind. I enjoyed my camarones al la Jimenez. That sauce is dangerously delicious and so hearty. Heat was on point. Mi hijo limpió su plato de desayuno lol! I went to Casa Jimenez for the first time last weekend. From the outside, you'd never know how good the food is. There is ample parking and the building is kind of non-descriptive. But when you walk inside, there are friendly people to greet you. We were immediately shown to a table for our party. They promptly brought chips and really flavorful salsa that had a good spice. The chips were freshly made and hot. They were so good and it was really hard to stop eating them! We got the number 27 which is a Chile Relleno, burrito, and enchilada. It comes with rice and beans. This was completely amazing and it was so much food! They really are generous with their portions! The other thing that we ordered was the wet burrito with a red sauce filled with carne Asada. Wow this was so flavorful! All in all I can say that their prices are reasonable for the amount of food that you get. We took home leftovers because we couldn't finish it all. The rice and beans are on point. I can always tell a good Mexican restaurant when the rice is cooked perfectly. It had good flavor and was fluffy and not crunchy. The beans were creamy and cheesy and I just loved them. I had to kind of stop eating them because I tried to finish my main dish. The restaurant has large screen TVs and a nice bar. The pictures on Yelp looked so good, and I was eager to try the food here. Unfortunately, I was extremely let down by just about everything I ordered. I had the pork verde wet burrito and a cheese enchilada on the side. The burrito was huge but utterly bland. I mean, it had no flavor at all. I couldn't tell what the sauce was either. It wasn't green or red. It was a yellow color. Weird. The cheese enchilada with red sauce would have been good if the cheese was melted inside. What a shame. I also had the shrimp, carnitas, and hardshell beef taco. The carnitas and beef tacos were okay. I liked that the carnitas had a crispy outside, but it left them a little dry. The shrimp taco was more like a lettuce and tomato taco. The underseasoned shrimp was completely overwhelmed by lettuce. Lastly, I had I the ribeye. The portion and cook were good. My only comment is that it was salty. The service was okay. Strangely, I was being served by the bartender who was juggling my table and a full bar, which was weird, but he did a good job. The only thing he could have done better was offer to make me something else or reduce my bill when he asked how the food was and I told him the burrito I had only taken a few bites out of was bland.
