We have eaten here before. And it was ok- Today we were served cold food- literally zero warmth to it. We paid @ 8:30pm for two taco and 2 burritos with 2 drinks. $55. The food was disgusting and felt refrigerated. The chips were very old. The drinks were good. We watch a couple who was fluent in Spanish come in and they grilled their meat and spoke with them. The restaurant had a pretty cool taco station making fresh corn tortillas and a salsa bar station with excellent customer service and rate them. We also enjoyed their fruit and dessert station. The one star is for the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the seating area. We were so excited to try this place, and were completely disappointed. The meats, we tried carne asada tacos, chicken tacos, and a carne asada burrito. The meat was all FLAVORLESS. We got discouraged while we were waiting in line, after placing our order and watching the cook place the meat on the grill with no marinade, no seasoning nothing! the tacos/burritos tasted the way they were made no flavor. it was really really disappointing! we will never be back and suggest if you like flavor you go elsewhere too. Also a little 6oz of guacamole was $8 and tasted like pure plastic. There were like salsas in the salsa bar, and some onions chopped and questionable looking lemons and slaw. Your stand in line and then ask for your food, your receive it, ask for your drink and then you finally pay. I tried a carne asada taco, a birria taco, and a mulita de al pastor. Everything was just okay, the asada lacked any sort of seasoning and was dry, the birria was fine, and the al pastor didn't seem to have too much flavor either. The salsa bar was pretty good and the aguas frescas are AMAZING! For a mulita, 4 tacos and a large drink it was $30 and the portions were small. I was bummed because I've eaten at a 2 potrillos several years ago (in a different location) and was so impressed. There's a lady who hand makes the tortilla and cooks it in front of you. There's always a long line. I think the problem is that I don't speak Spanish. There is a language barrier. I also think if I stick with tacos or burritos, then they make that in front of you, and you are off. I ordered a sope. He said to give him 2 minutes. I'm standing in front of him while the line moves on to the cashier. People have passed me by. 2 minutes is up, and I see a lady come out of the kitchen with a box in her hand. I finally decide to go in the line to the cashier and ask for my sope. Wouldn't you know the guy behind me who passed me up, also ordered a sope. She gave him my sope! When it was my turn, I told her I had a sope and she had to go in the kitchen to let them know. I'm now standing here waiting for it for at least 10 minutes! The food was great. I just find them a bit pricey. My teenage son wanted tacos, but 5 asada tacos were 14.95. They were really small tacos. I had sticker shock. The best deal was probably their burritos. 2 Potrillos has some of the best tacos. I've had the fish tacos, carne asada tacos, al pastor tacos & a bowl. They're all equally delicious. I'm not normally a soda or sweet drink of any kind but, let me tell you their cucumber aqua Fresca is delicious!! I got two meat empanadas during my half an hour lunch break, I got to my job and there was no meat. I called and spoke to the manager "yaline?" and she said to come back, they remade the order but didn't offer any type of compensation. This place is pretty tasty but not the best costumer service. My mom got two cheese empanadas to go and they messed up the order by adding lengua and had her pay the difference for their mistake! By far the worst menudo I've ever had. Definitely do not eat their menudo. No limes just lemons. Which is ridiculous because for Mexican food you really need limes not yellow lemons. A bad tasting menudo and no right condiments. The aguas frescas have way too much sugar. The service was ok. I didn't know it was cafeteria style. Don't expect to get anything brought to your table. The al pastor was the best one, lengua was good but I wouldn't get again and the birria didn't have the typical birria sauce and for some reason it tasted like tap water to me. The mulitas were excellent The guacamole had too much lemon in it but we finished it Our chips were stale but we didn't feel like fussing so we just ate it As for their sauces the green sauce was good but the red sauce was not , neither my husband nor I liked it, it needed salt. The pumpkin horchata completely won me over . Soooo good the perfect balance of pumpkin and horchata you could taste both of them perfectly . The watermelon Agua fresca was also very good.
