Last minute decision to come here but so glad we did. The service was fast and friendly. The young lady at the counter was very helpful. Once we placed our order we waited about 10 minutes before our food was ready. The wait was okay because they have a really nice eating area inside as well as seating outside. Our food was nice, hot and tasty. I'm glad my daughter suggested Dave's. read more

This is place is the worst I've been too. DHC is amazing but this location I have given 4 opportunities to get their stuff together. I waited 41 minutes for my online order, the girl at the front was clueless and just not attentive, helped others walking in, even though she made eye contact and I tried to talk to her, she was dismissive and rude. The food order was messed up and overcooked, this is the 3rd time there's been issues with the food and the 4th an final time dealing with horrible customer service. The ambiance was ok, nothing special, music was a good time, clean, etc. Unfortunately I will not be investing anymore time or money at this location, y'all need to do and be better, point blank. read more

First, the young lady at the counter was great and was hustling to keep up with taking orders, doing the drinks, and bagging the food. They need more front help. Ok, now the "food".... I believe there might be 15+ chicken places around here and DHC won't be in my top 65 choices. Very dry chicken. Some horrible sandy, gritty, dry rub on "flavor". The fries were fine. The mac and fake cheese was microwaved, enough said. The kale slaw was absolutely horrible. So, 20 some odd dollars later the only thing I got out of it is $20 poorer. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - 2 sliders with fries - Chicken Shop Near Me - Menifee, California

It was a rainy gross day and I was waiting on my New Year's Day dinner so I decided to get a light snack to hold me over haha I actually used door dash which is not a common theme for me. The food? Fresh, hot, juicy delicious! Nothing was cold or soggy. My food was prepared correctly. I get nervous doing DoorDash orders but it turned out great!! I got the #3 slider and tender extra hot I'll have to go inside this location next time. Thank you all who prepared my food yesterday ! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - #3 slider and tender extra hot - Chicken Shop Near Me - Menifee, California

I'm not sure why they do it here but every Dave's I've been too never does this only the Menifee location. My go too order is always the slider but they literally put a tiny chicken strip on the sliders like chicken nugget size. It's so frustrating I started ordering a strip and making my own slider but that's a pain. The last time I ordered from Uber Eats I got a slider and a strip and of course it comes with two tiny pieces of chicken. My sons was normal I'm truly tired of giving this place chances. I gave them a chance and sent them the pictures as well as my order number to let them make it up to me but management ghosted me and never replied. To the owner I'm not sure if it's supposed to be significantly smaller pieces for the sliders but if it is then I guess all other places hook it up. Pictures are of the 2 tenders one for the slider and one for the tender by itself. The tender I'm holding is the normal size one from my son's plate. read more

Great food and customer service. Love the cheese and cauliflower will be coming back again and again

This is the first time I tried Dave's Hot Chicken. They need more workers here. First of all there was quite a line as there was only one person working the register. This person was also responsible for calling out names and distributing the take out orders. I witnessed a lot of food die on the line waiting for it to be given out. Since there was only one person working the register, no one was cleaning tables and all the tables were dirty and some still had trash on it. Now to the food, the hot chicken was good. I would order that again. The mac & cheese though was really basic and not worth the price. I would've rated this location higher if it wasn't for the lack of cleanliness and horrible service. read more

Best chicken spot I've been too, they're super consistent and the staff always welcomes me when walking in.

Amazing customer service 10/10! Definitely coming back to enjoy some hot chicken here

Went back again to pick up food for my brother, when I went to the pick up area the worker Nancy called out the name of my brother so when I went up close I told her "I think that's my order" she then looked at me and said "you think??" in such a rude way. This is not the first time the workers at this exact Dave's have not only been rude to me but to my family as well. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken exceeded my expectations substantially! The seasoning on the chicken is fantastic (I had both mild and hot levels) and I love the fact that there's coleslaw along with the pickles in the sandwich - it definitely adds more textures to every bite you take. I have no complaints about the service as the staff did very well and are polite. The ambiance of the restaurant is a great place to hangout and I love the way the walls are painted. 10/10 highly recommend! read more

I was at Dave's at 7:30 and they were absolutely slammed. I waited in a line of about 7 people long. The restaurant was full of people waiting for orders and Uber Eats/online orders. Their display board was working and accurate. When I ordered, the young girl taking the order was very pleasant. She apologized for the wait and told me it would be close to 30 minutes for my order. No problem. Who wouldn't wait to have Dave's? I watched the crew in the back working feverishly. The girl in the front ran the register, greeted people and thanked everyone, again apologizing for the wait. She made sure to ask them if they needed additional condiments. Sheer perfection. The food was hot and delicious. These workers need a raise absolutely amazing. Thank you! read more

Disappointing service. This is how the second time I've done an online order and waited an extra 10+ minutes than the scheduled time. Whats the point of picking a time?? Also they offered everyone grabbing their order extra daves sauce. I asked for one and was told I would have to pay for extra daves sauce with an online order. That makes NO sense. read more

Don't go here. Ordering online to pickup is a scam they mark the food as ready and picked up when you are standing in the lobby for 10 min still waiting for it. read more

Good food but the wait time is a little ridiculous. Only ordered 2 sandwiches and wait time was 30 minutes. Please work on faster service!

Why have an app to order in advance, get a time when the order is ready, show up, and be told you need to wait for 15 minutes?

Oh my gawd......i ate DHC for the first time last night, cost an arm and a leg too. i don't know what they call it, but this isn't chicken. at least not any chicken I've e-v-e-r tasted or consumed. This is by far thee nastiest, disgusting slop i've ever ingested. what the heck is this? I only injested two pieces of a chicken/fry meal and i just couldn't stomach any more than that. i knew there was no way in heck it would be any more palatable heated up the next day so i trashed not only my practically untouched meal, but my sister's as well. If I knew anybody who tests food on a governmental level for food compliance, i would pay to find out what this rubbery, gelatinous mystery meat is because I've n-e-v-e-r had something that tasted this "disturbing" in my entire life. All the while I'm chewing this "chicken", I'm debating whether or not just to spit it out!! How this business is still a business is beyond me. Good Lord, I will never, e-v-e-r eat this "CHICKEN" again. The kids who work here are great, so it's not the restaurant or it's cleanliness, it's whatever it is they're passing off as "chicken" because in my opinion, after cooking well over 50+ years, this is not palatable, nor does it remotely resemble ANY chicken I'VE EVERY EATEN. If it is actually chicken, it's from either old birds, stickly birds or not birds at all....my opinion.... read more

Came in today at 6. No mozzarella stick available and said the ice cream machine doesn't work so no shacks. And then i asked for two extra Dave's sauce and the girl worker said i could only have one. You would think since i couldn't get mozzarella sticks or a shake she would give me an extra Dave sauce. I come here a lot and never been told i could only have one Dave sauce. They don't charge for them so i think she was just being mean because the guy who served the kids before me told them if they wanted more just come back up. read more

The first time I had Dave's hot chicken I made the mistake and ordered the "hot". I couldn't enjoy it because my mouth was on fire. So I decided to give it another try and get the "medium". Love the chicken, don't like the price. But really good DHC is something you need to try at least once or ten times. The mild flavor is the right balance of tasty with good heat. Love the fresh crunchy pickles on the side. Service here is fast and friendly. Love the outdoor seating to include an outdoor fire ring where you can sit and feast with friends. It can be pricey but there is a $10 meal that will fill you up without hurting your wallet. read more

Ordered from Dave's Hot Chicken and the pickup time said it'd be ready in at ---- time, go ahead and just tack on 45 min to that. By the time my order was actually ready, I'm pretty sure the chicken I ordered had enough time to hatch from an egg, grow into a full-grown adult chicken, live a meaningful life, get plucked, seasoned, fried, and then finally make its way into my box. Look, the food is good. No complaints there. But the pickup times? Absolutely fictional. Great chicken. Terrible relationship with time. read more

Maybe it depends on who's making it but they've stepped it up lately. A lot better quality, less lazy.

Good chicken, but nothing special. The menu is fairly simple -- chicken and fries. The food is really tasty and fresh, but kind of expensive. We came late at night when they were having a promotion and it was really crowded. The service was still good and the line was moving rather quickly. The restaurant is cute, but really small. There were less than 10 tables and definitely not enough space for people to be waiting for their orders. Overall, still good but maybe not if you're looking for something on the cheaper side. read more
