This place has a super positive vibe on the inside from decoration down the employees that waited on us. Mark even commented on the decor which is rare for him because he never pays attention to stuff like that. The music even fit the positive uplifting saying on the wall. Now to the food. When we first ordered and the saw it was $21 bucks for the pastrami combo I thought I was going pass out. Well we got two paid the $44.bucks and found a table. Then they brought our food and we both almost passed out. They were massive! One sandwich could've feed us both. We left with one and half sandwiches. I gave one half to our hotel clerk and the rest our in hotel ice box. Snacks for the journey home. If you have a huge appetite hit this place up because they don't believe in small amounts. Service was friendly and very accommodating- the drive through line was busy, but we ate inside and were asked several times if there was anything else we needed. While a little pricey for quick food, the portions were huge (we all had leftovers) and quality was great. Upgraded our combo to include chili cheese fries, which could've been a meal in themselves. Pastrami sandwich had plenty of meat, burger was great, tasted fresh. I loved the chili cheese fries as well. We ordered chili cheese fries as a part of our order with extra pastrami (large order) almost $10 & an order of fried zucchini along with other things. When we got our order delivered, we were missing the fried zucchini as well as the extra pastrami for our chili cheese fries. When I ordered my omelette I asked that home frys be cooked longer crispy on them...The home frys were about 3/ 4 thick and hard..not crispy at all. I asked when ordering about the senior discount..they said ok. When I paid no senior discount. Was goven- -10% not given. They also started charging a 4 % charge when not paying in cash. I'm usually not one to be complaining, but I think I should speak out about my experience at this restaurant at Gus Junior in Perris ca, so it won't happen to anyone else... First of all, customer service is no good at all. I tried to get help with my order that i had placed on September 29, 2022 and spoke with the employee LEILANI on September 30th LEILANI was not help full at all just completely Rude. LEILANI indicated that the restaurant manager Manuel would be in at 9 am and that I could speak with him at that time. So I took the time and showed up at the restaurant at 9:36 and asked to speak with the manager. LEILANI said that he was gone for the day? So I asked again, at what time is the manager in? And she said at 9 am and I told her well it's 9:36am and with a rude attitude she said well he left for the day and there was nothing I could do for you. This is my issue: I placed an order for a Carne Asada burrito on September 29, 2022 at The drive-through, It took them about 10 minutes to receive my order at the window for just one burrito and when I received my order I got a "I'm sorry for the wait". OK I understand sometimes it gets pretty busy and they run a little behind...fine. So this order I received "the carne asad burrito" was more like a "bean and cheese burrito" with a tiny bit of meat, At that point I had to call and say something because I paid $12 and change for A burrito that was not to any one's expectations. When I called, they lady explained to me that customers have complained in the past about the issue of the meat not being weighed properly and that's how much the serve to the customer. So I explained to her that the burrito did not look right. So she explained that the manager would be in in the afternoon that same day of the 29th at 3pm. If wished to speak with him so i did, I called at 3pm and the employee said that he was not in and that the manager would be in the next day at 8am. So now I'm getting the run-around. So this is where I explained on the top of this letter-post with the interaction with LEILANI ( the green eyes) on September 30, 2022 at 9:36am. Update: September 30, 2022 11:45 am. So I called again hoping I could talk to someone that would pay attention to my issues. I finally spoke with Maria :) Maria is very patient and heard me out about my issues with my order ( at least there is someone in that team that acts professionally and have good interactions with customers) and the interaction with LEILANI . She was kind enough to explain to me about my order issue and would fix my order but first I would have to speak with the manager which I agree. She also knows that LEILANI ( the green eyes girl) has no patience with customers and has had complaints about her many times. she was very apologetic about her customer service. I told her there was no need to apologize for someone else's action especially being very rude with customers. The point of this is that if I'm a paying customer I should receive that customer service in return and someone needs to talk to LEILANI about her attitude because this can't happen again. Not to me or anyone else. I'm only giving one star for the only help I received from Maria. LChino I'm hoping I could get a reply back from The Manager Manuel. read more

Using my "The good, the bad and ugly!" review technique I will now review Gus Jr. in Perris, California: The Good- The prices were reasonable (you get what you pay for) and the onion rings were very good! The burgers were all ok and so were the fries. I spoke with a Latina on the phone and she was very sweet. This area has really improved since the last time I was there! Congrats to the city of Perris for making a remarkable change for the better! The Bad- The chicken strips were extremely dry! I have had better chicken strips at pretty much any fast food chain that serves them. The Ugly- Nothing to report here! Ordered Online at 6:29. Pick up time 6:45. Food is spread over the whole counter top getting cold. There's a old skinny shorter lady with an attitude. Very unorganized. The cashier asked me to hang tight before checking my order as she was doing her thing. I waited patiently and the older lady was throwing me attitude, saying it was my fault my order wasn't in their system because I didn't notify them. I waited patiently as instructed. Just left at 7:25 almost an hour later. My family meal is cold as I am writing the review.
