I've been in Perris about 15 years and have passed the spot a ton of times. Just figured it was another mediocre burger spot which the city of perris barely even has as it is. Finally tried them yesterday and now know that it's officially the best burger spot out here. Got a chili cheese bacon burger and they didn't drown it in chili but the flavor was still great, the bacon was crispy, the texture was perfect. Reminded me of a good Hood LA Burger from childhood. Stopped here on my way home. Always nice to see one of these hole-in-the-wall type burger joints. Food is usually fresh and portions that fill you up. That was essentially the case here. I was here with a friend and I ordered the chile relleno plate, he got a couple dishes. It wasn't my favorite chile relleno. There was nothing wrong with it, I've just had better. The salsa...phew. If you like heat, they got it here. I cleaned my plate, but I think that was more due to my appetite than the food. Nothing about the taste stays with me that would compel me to stop by again. There were no enticing vegan options, not even a veggie burger. The service was exceptional, they got the order correct, I was very pleased with that and the big order was made quickly. There's plenty of parking. Okay, my hubby goes almost every morning and orders for me a breakfast, bacon, egg, cheese burrito no potato. They are very good but the last 3-4 times when he went and ordered the same thing, the bacon doesn't look like bacon, and the pieces are big, thick chunks. I never seen bacon like that. So instead of smaller pieces and spread it out throughout the burrito. So, I told my hubby to hold off on it. This morning, he went, and the bacon was a little better but still thick big, small chunks. I wonder if it's something else. Other than that, Ron loves their French fries, and I still love the burrito but maybe make the pieces smaller, so the bacon spreads across the whole burrito and not just 3-4 big chunks, which I give to my dog. I love those small hole in the wall restaurants that look they've been there for years and years. One look at their sign and it tells you Family Basket is right up my alley. Since I've been working in the area lately, might as well give them a shot! Located off the CA-74, Family Basket is easy to find. Just look for that big, beautiful sign sticking out of the ground. Family Basket has the usual hole in the wall offerings. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both times I went I opted for the chorizo breakfast burrito. I consider myself a chorizo breakfast burrito connoisseur and Family Basket makes a top shelf example. Their homemade salsa makes it even better! Service in the drive thru is always fast and friendly, though lemme tell ya. Although the chorizo breakfast burrito is top end, the prices are also top end. After taxes you're looking at close to $11 for a breakfast burrito. Yeah that's pricey but you're getting a filling meal for your money. So if you happen to be in the Perris area and are in need of some fresh made food you could do worse than Family Basket. One of these days I need to go inside to get the full menu experience because apparently the drive thru isn't the full deal. Sorry this is a horrible place to eat. I ordered steak and eggs for breakfast. Steak medium, eggs over easy, hash browns well done, and sourdough toast. I got a beef jerky well done steak, scrambled eggs, mushy hash browns, and white toast. Everyone just speaks Spanish so maybe that was the problem. Used to come here a lot when I'd visit my mom. Stopped by today around lunch and I had the pleasure of being helped by the rudest waitress with the really bad eyebrows. She was rude didn't acknowledge us and kept acting like she was too good to be there. Kept on looking away as we were ordering and at one point joined an employee conversation in the middle of taking our order. It's not my fault you hate your job. Don't take it out on the customers. When I went to sit at a table I passed by the lady that ordered before me and she was telling her husband how rude the waitress was and how she couldn't tell if she was talking to her or the employees. Great food a hidden secret a hub in Perris they make everything so good the Burgers, Sandwiches, and the Fried Chicken is made crispy just right, the Tuna Sandwich is the best. The Breakfast is made better than most restaurants you can't go wrong with the Pancakes, French Toast, and the Egg Plates it's done perfect. When you drive by wouldn't think much of a simple Burger place of a country road but once the food is made and served especially when it's hot and fresh it's a wrap. Been here a couple of times. My first experience was great got the Nacho Supreme w/ extra cheese. It was very cheesy & delicious. That was a one time experience I'm guessing because the last time I went I ordered what I usually order and it was blah. Very plain, dry, & no CHEESE! Went again today to give it a last try. Given the location and the prices, this place is great! I ordered a Bacon cheeseburger with zucchini instead of fries, and I don't have a lot of complaints! My burger was delicious (on par with locations like these, nothing super special) and they put A LOT of bacon on it, looked to be 5 pieces which is a lot for a single bacon cheeseburger (average is like 2 pieces). The flavor was great, and everything tasted pretty good! My bottom bun was very soggy though, due to the sauce/lettuce on the bottom. The Zucchini tastes mostly lice seasoning salt than anything else, but they're decent! This place doesn't seem like it was meant to have a drive thru. The ordering area is in a very weird spot, and the window to pay/get food has a curb in front that sticks out a bit. They also forgot my chili's on the side for my burger, but other than that the order was great and the service was very friendly! I'd come back!!! read more

Tried this for the first time today and was very pleased. There aren't many options for good burgers in this area unless you are a fast food kind of person. The the double cheeseburger was great with a good piece of tomato, plenty of chopped onions and a good amount of sauce. Fries were fresh and had seasoning salt over regular salt which is always a plus. Nothing worse than overly salted fries. If you want a real burger I highly recommend this place.
