Food is good, service is okay but they are nice. Wait was a little while 30-35 min wait. Inside is clean and a good space.

I don't think I'll come back here!! They took so long to order my food. The OJ is yuck!! At least our food came out nice and hot ! My daughter had 5 silver dollar pancakes, scrambled eggs and 1 turkey sausage. She likes it and ate most. I had a chicken quesadilla it was nice hot a full. Came was sour cream and salsa. I don't want NOTHING TO DRINK Yes it's clean and a little quiet. Parking good right out front. They seat you down fast . That's it. It's okay and cheap spot cool for kids . Stopped by for a quick breakfast this morning. Ordered the bacon temptation omelette with no tomato's and extra cheese sauce. Also ordered a side of scrapple. My omelette came out and it was so unbelievably flat and skinny it was shameful, it should have had sprinkle cheese on it as well as the sauce, there was none. The bacon inside was only in the very center making the actual omelette with stuffing about 4 bites. The scrapple did not come out with my food, she acknowledged they were working on it when my food was delivered. It wasn't actually brought out to me until I had about 2 bites left of all my food. When it was delivered it was a barely cooked pile, not a slice an actual soggy pile. I immediately refused the scrapple and asked her to remove it from my check. The server was miserable and made zero effort to apologize for the food she thought was appropriate to bring out from the kitchen. Every interaction with her seemed as though she was annoyed in general. I asked for lemon with my tea. Never received it but also never re-addressed it. The temperature in the restaurant was frigid. Granted it was a very cold day but it was quite warm in the back towards the bathrooms, but it was unbearable where they were seating people. Needless to say I will never return here. Wait time from seating to drinks was lengthy that we considered walking out, but then they came. Wait time did not improve at all for the remainder of the service. Cups were dirty/not properly cleaned. Food was ok, although some links were burnt. Eggs were scrambled but did not request scrambled. Waitress did not come back to check on us for extended periods of time. We needed additional utensils, napkins, new cup for coffee, no creamer despite requesting it. We watched multiple families come in and no one was at the front desk to greet/seat them. Some guests (families and DoorDashers) actually walked back out due to the extended wait. Overall the establishment really struggled with customer service. Waitresses need better training. They seemed very lax about the entire thing. I'm not sure who the management is for this place, but you need to hire a front of the house person. They should be taking people in, seating them and managing the tables for the waitresses. What we saw was the waitresses themselves doing this which contributed to the delay on assisting customers. read more

If you come from Siberia, you may enjoy eating at this IHOP which is similar to surviving a brutally cold winter. I , like the others, wish I could leave a zero star review. I cannot comment on the food, as we left before we even ordered... We were so put off by the place in general, but even more so the fact that it was about 50° in there. If I was the type of person who could tolerate the freezing cold temperatures in the place, I still wouldn't eat here because by the time the food would get to your table, it would be ice cold. Who likes frosty eggs, pancakes or whatever? Even the staff apologized to us, saying they recognize that it's freezing cold in there. Please don't tell me they cannot regulate the temperature to a reasonable level. This place will never make it with one star reviews consistently! I don't think we are alone because I heard the one and only party sitting at a table in the restaurant also commenting about the same concern when we arrived. Insanely shitty service, I don't think the waiters or waitresses do anything beyond writing down orders. food tastes microwaved and bland, the location in Newarks food is far better, even the same items are completely different between locations. A breakfast food restaurant that stinks, can't say I've ever heard that one before. Cleanliness is clearly neglected by the employees, food took nearly an hour to come out. The place gives off the vibe of a truck stop, and there have been tens of rumors in the community that the manager refuses to hire people based off the color of their skin. I'd personally never apply to a place this shitty but from what I've heard they refuse to hire white people. Would be 0 stars if possible. read more

Despite having a decent grand opening when they first come into the town, the current state of the IHOP in this location is abysmal. Our online order demonstrated a complete lack of passion for cooking and a reluctant acceptance of subpar quality. My first red flag should have been that despite the order being on a weekend morning, there were few people present in the actual restaurant on what was supposed to be their busiest time. First of all, they failed actually to match the order given, either missing significant ingredients from the order or providing a single "bell pepper" to fulfill the order at the bare minimum. Many ingredients were either burnt to death, taste as if they were refrigerated for weeks or demonstrated a lack of understanding of what spices are. Sizing also has been readily reduced, as the omelets are at least 1/3 smaller than they should be despite the prices still remaining the same. Even their pancakes failed to be fluffy or tasteful, failing at even what's supposed to be the most popular item on their menu. This is not worth your time, money, and consideration. If it was possible to rate it lower than 1 star, I would as this is the worst food experience with an IHOP that I have experienced in my lifetime. read more

This store has been open for a while. I have gone there to eat and pick up as a dasher. Service is horrible at best. One table seated and they told me 25 mins for seating!!! The pancakes were stone cold, asked for well done bacon and it was partially raw, and the eggs were not freshly scrambled, they were pre scrambled from a container. Decided to try this location- BAD CHOICE! The food was typical Ihop, but the service- WOW took 20 min to get our drinks, and prob 30 min to get the food, we ordered breakfast so very quick cook time- it was warm not hot, we had to ask 3 times for a drink refill and the table next to us sat for 30 min before a server even greeted them, I literally had to stop a bus boy and tell him to get a server for them becauae I thought it was ridiculous. I am a huge IHop fan. The service at this IHop was the worse that we have ever experienced. The staff and management are clearly not trained nor are they interested in customer service. Noon on Sunday, the restaurant was nearly empty. We waited 30 minutes to get water and coffee. Server took order and disappeared. Never returned for coffee/water refills. Food delivery took longer than expected when the restaurant was empty. One order was wrong, a second order was incomplete. The pancakes were missing and finally arrived in time to be put into a take home container. This restaurant will not survive in Middletown with this level of service. Local diners, Waffle House, and Metro Diner are the competition and far outpace the level of service at the Middletown IHop. read more

My husband and I have breakfast each Saturday at one of the restaurants in our area. Today was our 2nd time at IHOP. It was awful. It took 30 minutes for our food to come and then the meal was incomplete and cooked wrong. My eggs were cooked hard instead of over easy. My husband got his bacon after we were finished eating. Frankly I would give no stars if allowed! We stopped in to try it out! Our first thing was while we stood waiting to be seated, a waitress came up and said Oh there were two hostesses here but they walked out a couple minutes ago. I thought they went outside to get warm. Well they never came back. And we found out why they went out to get warm, the air conditioning was blasting and you could have hung meat in there. The waitress came to take our order, we ordered steak and eggs with pancakes. She forgot to ask me how I liked my steak until my husband ask her if he could have it medium rare. We sat there freezing waiting for our food ( it wasn't like they were busy, there was about 10 customers in the place.) 25 minutes later the waitress came out with the steak and eggs no toast no pancakes, she said she wanted us to have at least this before it got cold. I needn't have worried about how the steak was cooked because it was so thin and tough I couldn't eat it. We finished our eggs and waited and waited again. Another couple that came in way after us got their complete meal with pancakes. I ask for the manager! when she came out first words were, it was my fault your order got messed up I knocked the ticket off! Mind you no one else had come in, not like there was a ton of orders. She said I'll get the rest of your order right up! No thank you, but I'd like to leave so I can get feeling back into my extremities from freezing. she said I'll fix your bill. She took $2.00 off!! It's a new establishment that is not organized, they warn you when you walk in that the kitchen will take a minimum of 45 mins to a hr to get your food out, there were only 4 other families in the restaurant, and you can hear the cooks yelling at each other about peoples orders. We finally go to order and I ask about a combo they have called the split decision. She asked another server and they both say it's no longer available. So I point to it and they both say oh yea we have it. So fast forward to 25 mins later and the food comes out. Eggs hard as a rock. Pancakes like frisbees bacon half cooked from the deep fryer. Hash browns with hair. So I start sending it back. They bring out some more of the burnt deep fried bacon and I had to ask for the manager. KATHRYN C says he's busy can I help you. At this point there's was nothing she could do with her nasty attitude. When he came out I could tell he'd been on the grill trying to get the kitchen out of the weeds. Which is the first mistake. You can manage while stuck in a position. You can't see what's going on. I understand being short handed. So hire so people that want to work. He listens to my issues and remade some of the meal. The customer service is horrible, like honestly. They have no one at the front counte, people waiting for their food and to be seated. Tables haven't been cleaned properly. This is very disappointing and disgustin. Some people have been waiting for their food for hours. this is literally unacceptable. They need more people helping, they should put a hire sign outside. There is like 5 staff and there is a whole bunch of people waiting. We have been waiting for almost an hour to sit down and get our food. I do not recommend this ihop in particular. read more

I would give this -1 star if possible. Middletown is by far the worst IHop in existence. Do yourself a favor and NEVER order from them. This was the second time I ordered and it will definitely be the last. The first time I ordered online and when we picked it up and got home two orders of bacon and one order of scrambled eggs were missing. This time I called in the order. First I had to call THREE times. The first time it rang like 20 times and someone picked up and hung up on me. Called back, it rang like 10-15 times and someone picked up and didn't say anything and then hung up. (Should have took this as an omen). Called the 3rd time and ordered one order of crepes and 4 slices of bacon. Takes forever to get there because of traffic in Middletown. I assumed they must have been busy since it took so long to get through to them. NOPE! There was not ONE SINGLE PERSON in the restaurant, so they can't use "they were busy" as an excuse. The bag was stapled shut in 2 places. I half ripped the bag and saw the crepes on the bottom and a bag on top of the crepes which I assumed was bacon. NOPE! It was syrup. Get home and they forgot my bacon. They didn't forget to charge me for the bacon though. How can you mess an order up with TWO THINGS and the place is empty. I called back and asked to speak to the manager. No apologies - she just said if I said I didn't get the bacon, I can come and pick it up. I didn't "say I didn't get it" I DID NOT GET IT!!
