I am unable to get out much so we got take out breakfast this morning from Village Market and cafe…read more My wife said the shop was clean though there isn't much to see. The counter person was very pleasant. My wife had a delicious breakfast sandwich of bacon egg and cheese on a brioche bun. She said the bacon cooked well and the brioche bun just soft enough. A winner. I had the French toast, three fluffy, sweet flavored slices of brioche bread with powdered sugars. It came with butter and syrup in the side, the syrup tasted maple real. The bacon crisp, five or six slices! My better half also purchase some other delectable, but would telll me what it is. I'm sure it's yummy. Recommended!

They had a few tables to sit, eat, relax at. The market has an opening to the bar at Pairings. I didn't ask when I picked up my cookie and scone but I wonder if I could have had it warmed up...hmm a question for next time I'm back, I suppose! And FYI: those pastries?! Yes, so much yes. The ratio of cookie to chocolate chip is highly respectable. Dare I say 50/50?! Even slightly skewed for chocolate??!? And the scone. It was actually a scone. And done well. Have you ever bought a scone and it was really a muffin in disguise? Or some sort of a croissant in another life? Well, this was a scone. Legit scone. Not too dense, not too light. Crumbly without falling apart or being too flakey. Good flavor. Bravo, scone, bravo!

Walking in, I'd say even though the place was busy, the noise level was to a minimum. I could see…read moremyself working on my laptop here. The smell of the place is immediately captivating... I could smell the pastries! I loved how you could buy some of their cute trinkets or even coffee beans. Other reviews said the matcha was weak. I'm personally not a matcha fan but I was craving because they had a strawberry marshmallow matcha latte on their Feb drink menu! Matcha was not grainy. It wasn't too earthy. I think it was a perfect blend with just a hint of sweetness. I love how they added a cube of marshmallow too! It was a delicious treat after I finished the drink. Now onto the California toast. Could I have made this at home? Yes. Was the food 100% hitting the spot. Also yes! The bread was toasted to perfection. I loved the thick slices of avocado paired with the sriracha. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Nice place for a cute coffee date!

It wasn't to my taste but still a quality latte. My husband liked his iced coffee. We ordered a ton of food between just wanting to try things and a family of 4 each choosing an item or 2 to try. Some of the highlights were my frittata sandwich. It's really elevated with the siracha honey and goat cheese spread. The croissants were enormous! If you like really big croissants, this is definitely the place. Lastly, the biscuit was homemade and packed with flavor. If they heated it up, that really would have taken it over the edge of greatness. If I lived more locally to this shop, I would stop in here all the time.
