Many business owners think about their products and services from the perspective of a provider or vendor. Not the customer. Here's some advice: Walk through your business the way a customer would. How do they enter your space or navigate your website? How easily can they identify what they need? How smoothly is their order fulfilled? Where are the natural opportunities to upsell or add value? What does the payment experience feel like? Every step shapes their perception of your brand. If customers sense high effort, confusion, or indifference from staff, they will look elsewhere. Of the four customers I saw during the visit to your location: 1) the first one was frustrated because the ingredients advertised weren't available, so instead of being guided to an alternative she had to make that choice, 2) The second customer was frustrated because there was only one person working, and while this individual was making his order, the soul worker did not acknowledge any of the other customers, so he was frustrated when the customers pulled his attention away from crafting his order, leaving him with a negative experience, 3) the third. Customer was clearly frustrated because she was purchasing premade juices, but still had to wait an under amount of time before even being acknowledged by staff, 4) the fourth customer (myself) after waiting in line and have to ask a new employee who just came on shift if I could be helped was immediately informed by the staff regarding what they were out of and what they didn't have. Here's a tip: Instead of delivering a flat "we're out," train your team to offer alternatives that keep the experience positive. If you're out of vanilla on a hot day, guide the customer toward other refreshing options. They came to you to solve a problem--thirst, hunger, comfort--and your job is to preserve that momentum. When your marketing has already done the work of getting someone to your door or onto your site, honor that investment. Even if you can't provide the exact product they wanted, create a smooth transition so you don't lose the sale, the relationship, or the goodwill. Your brand, values, and reputation are being formed in real time. Inconsistency, poor service, indifference, or discourtesy can undermine your business before it gains traction. A customer‑centered process is your competitive advantage. For customers who are trying to support your business, especially as a black owned business, you are making it hard for customers to give you their money. Please fix this. read more

I've been in this shopping plaza a few times before and never noticed this juice bar. Decided to stop in to see what was available. The place was very clean and airy. Their menu has fresh pressed , juices, smoothies, and açai bowls. I went with the Everything vitamin and the HeartBEET. I love beets in a juice so the heartbeet was my fave. The Everything Vitamin was very cinnamon-y. It had so much cinnamon in it that even shaking it just left it in clumps. I like this drink too, but less cinnamon would have made it perfect. We came back to Sunset Raw Juice Bar because we had a wonderful experience the first time we visited. We ordered a smoothie and a Aćai smoothie bowl and enjoyed them both. This time we ordered two smoothie bowls, Sunset Energy Smoothie Bowl and Super Green Smoothie bowl. Both of our bowls were not filled to the top of the container and were mostly made with a lot of ice which dominated the texture and flavor of the bowls. The person that took our order also didn't know how to engage with us in conversation and the place also had zero atmosphere. There is a speaker on top of the refrigerator containing the juices but no music was playing. This made the place feel dead. We ended paying over $26 for both bowls that would have been fine if the bowls hadn't been so poorly made. This will be our last visit to this Sunset Raw Juice Bar. read more

In addition, the staff are young and not very friendly. The best time was the second time & it was on a Wednesday morning. The young lady who served me was super friendly and helpful. The OG Bowl had more banana and less açaí than I would have liked, however, but she told me that upfront, so I knew. I lived in Brazil and have enjoyed true açaí so my expectations are high when it comes to anything açaí. At a price of $26 for 2 smoothie bowls, my expectations are for exceptional quality & taste, and Sunset Raw did not fully deliver on these expectations. This place is very hit or miss. I've had great bowls filled to the top, and meh bowls with 2 inches of space to the top of the bowl. At $25 for 2 regular sized bowls, I expect filling to the top. See picture. Inconsistency is another factor. Sometimes they remember to add the honey drizzle to the OB bowl, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the juice fridge is stocked, other times it isn't. My latest annoyance is the wait time. Expect a 20-30 minute wait when it isn't even busy. I dined the other week and there was only 1 other person waiting. It took nearly 30 minutes for my 2 bowls. When I inquired after patiently waiting, I was told the printer didn't print my order and they would have to reprint and start my order. Okay, no big deal, things happen. For my first time trying an açaí bowl, Sunset definitely didn't disappoint! I went with the Sunset bowl with all toppings (10/10 recommend.) My mom tried the Colada bowl and also loved it. The bowls were filled to the brim - the regular size is huge and filling. The only thing I noticed was the base was a little watery. The employee taking our order was so sweet, and the bowls took 5-10 minutes to come out. The interior of the shop is nicely decorated and modern as well. When trying to order a 3-day cleanse I was given the run around, my follow up email was never responded to; whenever I called I was put on hold or told to call back later... that's a first! I waited for about 10 minutes, and it's very beautifully plated. I had it back in my car since the store was quite busy and I would not want to eat indoor while people around in a small space. They do have some outdoor benches nearby. I got the OB Acai bowl with everything in it. It was very well made and the flavor was great! I didn't know apple would work with Acai! After doing a little grocery shopping nearby at Harris Teeter, I decided to stop by Sunset Raw Juice Bar and pick up a healthy snack. I've been hearing about this place for a while and have been meaning to check out the Owings Mills location. This is their new location in Howard County so everything looks nice and new. I'm not sure if they're allowing dine-in right now due to covid but no one was sitting in their seating area. I ended up getting a Super Green bowl and a juice. I forgot the name of the juice but it was a seasonal flavor that contained sweet potato, apple, and cinnamon. Everything was tasty and I definitely felt like my health received a boost that day. My only gripe is that when I visited, I was looking to purchase a few juices but the refrigerated juice section was looking quite scarce and there were only two kinds of juices in there, one of which I didn't want. I was so excited to see a new BLACK OWNED juice bar in this area! I visited Sunset RJB early one morning after a workout. There is plenty of parking close to the shop and they are easy to find. When I walked in, the shop was bright and colorful which is what I would expect in a juice bar. There are baskets of fresh fruits hanging behind the counter bringing your attention to the front of the store. The menu is digital and clean, giving you all the details on each bowl and juice. They have parallel parking directly in front of the store. But don't fear there's also a parking lot available for those who can't grab the very limited front spaces. Worried about covid? Don't fear, the store is absolutely pristine and in addition to sanitizing their hand held baskets. They have hand sanitizer available at the register if you feel you need it. The workers are very friendly and helpful. I ordered an acai bowl and needed some modifications to it and they an zero issues accommodating me. In addition to the acai bowls they offer everything made to order from smoothies, and protein balls and they event have cold pressed jucies available to buy. Price point to me is also a selling point. mlMy acai bowl was only $10 and was totally backed to the brim with yummy deliciousness! My fruit was perfectly ripe and I'm totally fully. I usually can't finish things in one sitting. But this bowl was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Their jucies are also about $1 cheaper than another local juice shop I frequent. I absolutely have the fruit display they have behind the counter. It looks like the perfect photo shoot backdrop. They are fully staffed but it seems like, at times, there is no communication or miscommunication between staff.
