Visited this Chick-fil-A on a Saturday and had an unexpectedly wonderful visit! Ms. Harriet took our order and was very friendly and helpful. She even helped carry our food to our table. The other employees at the restaurant were also very hardworking. Whether it was sweeping the floors, cleaning tables, or serving customers, they put care and effort into their work, which was refreshing to see. We have a great chic fila near us in Elkton that always had great service but they have been closed for construction for over a month now. We are forced to go to this one on rt 4 and this is the second time we have been horrified at the long lines and wait and poor service. It doesn't feel like a chic fila. The first time, they botched the order and tried to give us like 15 sandwiches. This time we have been in line for over 30 minutes in the drive through. I'm not a bit Chick-fil-A goer. In fact, I probably can count on one hand the number of times I've ever eaten Chick-fil-A. There's nothing wrong with it. It's decent enough. It was just never me. However, I wanted to say I stopped into this location tonight for some quick food for five teenagers I had at the house. I noticed immediately that it was very clean inside. But more than that, everyone who was working was smiling and the cashiers were all very friendly. It was so nice to see. So much so in fact that it really took me by surprise. The service was quick. The order was right. And they stocked me up on a variety of sauces (by the way, if you haven't tried the Polynesian, you should). If you love Chick-fil-A, I highly recommend this location for sure. first of all my sister had a interview at 3:30-4pm today mind you live all the way in Wilmington and we left the house at 2:50 and traffic was mean and messy so we get here at about 3:50 so we walk in and its about 30 mf employees and not NAAN of them assholes took out service (yes we happened to be African American and MUSLIM on top of that) but out of respect my sister did not even wear her shayla being as though it is an christian workplace or whatever. So in light of the Starbucks incident I went to Chick-fil-A and, yes, I ordered before sat down. I stayed for about an hour or so after as well. They were closing and I expected to be hurried out. A hooded black man lingering in your restaurant after closing hours didn't seem like an ideal situation for them, so I thought. Today I ordered my food through the app and I get there park in the numbered spot and then go to put the number in the app and it does not work. So there's no way to go back into it so that you can put the number spot in there I have to wait to get somebody to flag them down to let them know what's going on and to try to get in and out of there is absolutely crazy. It was not a great day at Chick-fil-A for me or Autumn (my server). To start off, I pull up and he grunts, Hello. Oh no! Where's the cheery "it's a great day at Chick-fil-A?" Ok, maybe he's not having a great day. That's fine! We're in the middle of a pandemic and he has to stand outside and take food orders. Hmmmm! Well, he begins to take my order and everything is repeated. I like that concept because then nothing can be wrong. I guess that's true for everyone except Autumn, because he wasn't having a great day! LOL! I had a rather large order so I checked my order at the pickup window. I immediately noticed that a salad was missing. Seems like Autumn only added 1 salad. That was strange to me because he repeated my order. So, I purchase another salad at the window because I was only charged for one. Not bad. I get home and while I giving my family their meals, I noticed that I'm missing a drink and a breakfast sandwich was added to my lunch order. I live too far to go back so I just chalk it up as Autumn wasn't having a great day at Chick-fil-A! Oh well! Maybe next time, Autumn! We all have those days.
