I ordered the New Orleans Cajun pasta, which comes with shrimp sausage and chicken the amount of chicken compared to the shrimp and sausage is outrageous. As you can see from the photo you are actually paying for a chicken pasta. This is unacceptable and miss leading to the customer. This also includes me paying for additional sausage, shrimp and chicken, so where are the toppings? When I reserved our table when we were about 20 minutes from the location (we were traveling from Baltimore) our table was ready earlier than expected. I discovered Cheddars when my son was in the hospital for four weeks so we would go across the street to eat something after visiting hours were over. I loved their chicken pot pie, the ribs are an excellent deal! I ordered the chicken pot pie for my son multiple times when he was finally able to eat. Their prices are very good for Homie comfort food. Not to say that everything's going to be perfect... But I'll go back just to get the painkiller! That drink is off the charts! We stopped here for a quick bite on our way to somewhere else. The restaurant was a little busy, but there was no one at the bar. Eboni was our bartender, and she was friendly and started us out with a Watermelon Margarita and honey butter croissants. We were not familiar with Cheddar's, but she said they are known for them. We really enjoyed the croissants. We ordered the chips and queso, which did not seem to be scratch at all, and the Key West Shrimp. It would be hard to mess up shrimp and rice, and it was very tasty, as was the pineapple pico de gallo. However, the "off the cob" corn tasted like canned corn. I had previously dined at the Dover location over 8 years ago, and this one was just as welcoming. Horrible customer service ! Made a reservation for a party on a Monday and had to cancel it by Saturday, the reservation wasn't for a whole month away. They would not return $1000.00 . We were given fresh bread shaped like croissants with a white glaze that were good. We got the trio app that came with chicken tenders, spinach artichoke dip, and queso and salsa. Chicken were four generously sized pieces and tender..the chips, however were pretty... not good. It tasted like stale/old oil. The cheese curds were good, we dipped those in the queso and spinach artichoke. At least it's an issue with the chips and not the actual oil that they are currently using to fry. The bourbon porkchop wete pretty tender and tasty. I didn't like how my side of rice was saturated in the sauce. The rice also had a strong celery-like flavor to it which I as not expecting. The broccoli cheddar casserole was very good though. It reminds me of Cracker Barrels Hash brown casserole. The shrimp and ribs.. the ribs got sent back. They were advertised as "fall off the bone" but instead was very tough and jerky-like. The fried shrimp and side of fries were fine. They also offered to make a new rack of ribs, but we assumed it was going to probably be a similar issue so we declined as we didn't want to waste another set of ribs. Our waitress had removed this off our tab completely, even though we took the shrimp and two sides. We didn't get the cranberry juice and alcohol until our dinner was done. Only ask her 12 times. Next is the food.....where do I start? Ordered the Cheddar Bites.....not hot and not crispy. Their Monte Crisco used to be excellent at this location and the fries crispy. I think they used pancake batter on the sandwich and the fries were not crispy. A little cold and soggy. Cheddars has been open a little over a week and they definitely have some things to work out. If you want to eat here any time soon, I strongly suggest adding your name to the waitlist which you can do so online. I went on a Tuesday evening and you would have thought it was the weekend. I was seated after a 45 minute wait. You can order bar drinks, appetizers and kids meals from the table kiosk but everything else you have to order from your server. My server was so busy, she didn't mention her name. The honey butter croissant was tasty. You will only get a croissant for the number of people in your party. If you want extra, you will have to pay for them. I ordered the Key West chicken and shrimp. The entree comes with two sides. The portion size was good, but the food was slightly on the cold side. I haven't been to Cheddars in 10 years so I was very impressed. I got the chicken pot pie and mashed potatoes for a side. My husband got a steak and sides.
