Food was 5 stars!!!!
Really good food but it took an hour to come. Now they do say on the menu that food would take 30-45 minutes because it's made to order but French toast, eggs and sausage shouldn't take that long. We got the fish and grits also, grits weren't hot but warm which leads me to believe they were not prepared minutes before serving. The fish was straight from the pan, it was crispy and extra hot. Everything had a great flavor!! The chefs are on point with flavor.
The fish and grits came out almost 10 minutes after the French toast came out, it was awkward sitting across the table from someone without food to eat. If the wait is going to be long, why not offer bread or something. They don't offer appetizers until after 3pm because that's when the dinner menu starts . (we arrived around 1:45pm) . But then again, an appetizer would probably take long as well.
Took us over 15 minutes to get our water and one lemonade, an additional 20 minutes for a Long Island. And didn't get the food over an hour after being seated. We didn't receive any updates on our order.
Service is ok, it's not bad. The music was good, kind of loud. I love the decor and set up.
We left $10 tip for a $70 dollar bill. When we got in the car, we noticed they added at 15% Auto Gratuity ($9.15) to our bill. That's something to look out for and something we didn't like. So in all, a $20 tip was left on a $60 dollar bill. Yes we should have looked at the bill closer, I didn't think two people would cause auto gratuity. The service wasn't bad, but definitely not $20 tip on a $60 bill worthy in my opinion.
I'd say check them out, I don't see myself returning due to the wait time and the auto gratuity, but the food is good. To me this is a neighborhood spot where you can hang out for drinks at the bar. Which isn't a bad thing. read more
