We opted for the zingers and fries - both were very good and we liked the selection of dips. For dinner we had the Shrimp and Blackened Chicken Cobb salad, French dip, and the Rack of Ribs. The salad was fresh and filled with plenty of chicken and shrimp. The French dip was piled high with meat and was very tasty but was a little fatty, and the Rack of Ribs were delicious. A few weeks ago, we stopped in on a weekday afternoon/evening to celebrate my son's birthday. It had a very welcoming pub/sports bar atmosphere. We were seated immediately, and our server (I can't pronounce his name) was the best. Very attentive, engaged in light conversation, and kept our drinks topped off. I never knew "Zingers" were a thing. We all had various versions of dishes with Zingers and different sauces. Mine was a Zingers salad with a spicy peach sauce--perfection. The onion rings were some of the best we have had--not greasy at all, seasoned well, and enough to share. My son had a slice of the legendary ice cream cake for his birthday, and our server brought us spoons to sample it since everyone was too full to order dessert. Would definitely come back. read more

I have to say this was a first for me. We were sitting at the bar with clients watching Thursday night football. It was the first game of the year, the Eagles were playing, we were close to Philadelphia, the bar was probably 85% full. We were ringing up a pretty good bar bill with just our party. The game was just a few minutes into the 3rd quarter and it was about 10:30 or so. The bar tender, only doing what she was told by management, who was apparently too afraid to do it themself, walked around the bar telling everyone they would be closing at 11pm. Who does that? I get it if it's dead or an off night but to ask paying customers to leave is next level irresponsible as a business owner or manager. I think a review of management is needed, they obviously didn't care about revenue and I have personally never seen that happen before, anywhere, ever. read more

Miller's Ale House is really an interesting experience. I ordered online and it gave me an estimated time of pick up. When you pull into the lot there are spots for pick up designated in the front. I waited a while but then figured I was missing something. I went inside and apparently you have to pick up your order inside and not wait for it in the spot. This was pretty confusing because that's what the app says (in pictures). I ordered fried shrimp and changed my fries for steamed broccoli which was a nice substitute free of charge. When I picked up my order there was no sauce for my shrimp and they lacked flavor big time! They just tasted like fried things- no shrimp flavor at all. We were seated and a waitress came within 5 min. She brought drinks within 12 min. We place our order at that time. 40 min later we had no food. I went to the desk and asked for the manager. He came after another 5 min and said I will check. He came back and said our order had only just been put in. The waitress came and said I am sorry I got distracted With a big party. It took 49 minutes to get our food. The dinner was complimentary but we felt serious reverse discrimination We are also older than most of the folks in the restaurant. we were there for the Super Bowl greeted by a server with a Bad Bunny shirt on who later changed and we got a wonderful server. We asked if we could change the TV screen for halftime. Everyone around us was watching their phones. They agreed to put the puppy bowl on. Once it started all the servers kitchen staff everyone came out out of the back all wearing Bad Bunny shirts and they turned the music up louder than a kids dance club. You could not think it was so loud. It was sickening headache causing we complained to the manager. She was no help whatsoever so corporate wouldn't allow her to change anything horrible we spent good money. I'm putting this everywhere I can (Google Yelp etc.) I'm so angry. Store: #084 / Receipt: #60007 / Sever: Monica / Time 1:37 PM. I've been to this location 1,000 times. Close to home, right off 95/Rt. 1 - birthdays business meetings playoff games rib night you name it. I will never return. Our order for four guys was extremely simple: one small house salad, two soups, 24 wings. I ordered water. When it came the glass was covered in sticky soda residue and the water was discolored. I immediately walked it over to the bar so I could wash my hands in the restroom. Next the disastrous wings: since the orders are issued in quantities of six, we asked if each of us could select a flavor. The answer to this was immediately no. When asked if we could split the wing order into two flavors, that request was also rejected. Eventually we received 24 dry wings, no seasoning or sauce. Just four tiny cups of miscellaneous sauces. We tried to stay positive and roll with it, but the chaos continued: halfway through trying some, we realized a large portion of these wings were still raw. Oh btw the original salad order still hadn't arrived. At this point we were 90+ mins in and while I did look for the GM, I just wanted to escape the place. Kitchen mistakes happen. Machines malfunction. Severs sometimes miss things. Everyone has bad days. But to have so many incredible failures all at once in a short time completely killed my feelings about this place. Never once were we asked about refills. I did ask for more napkins, but instead we just kept getting wet wipes. WHO NEEDS WET WIPES WHEN YOU RECEIVE WINGS WITH NOTHING ON THEM. The kids meals apparently come with free ice cream. I guess my 6 and 4 year olds didn't qualify that day. Ah and the cherry on top: when we arrived we put the table kiosk away so it wasn't a distraction. We ended up getting charged for entertainment fees without ever touching the screen. We walked into the restaurant and then waited 5 minutes at the hostess stand before we were approached. The restaurant was not busy. The hostess led us to a table threw the menus on the table and kept on going. We then sat there and waited again for a waitress. The hostess was in the back messaging on her phone, so the next customer would have to wait. We were just about ready to leave when the waitress and her trainee showed up. My wife pointed out that the table need to be cleaned. After no response, she repeated herself and the the waitress very curtly said, " I heard you." At that point the waitress not taking any kind of order or suggesting anything left our table and went to another table. We left. I went on the Miller's website and wrote the review. I received a call that evening from a manager apologizing for the bad service and offering a gift card for a future visit. I said that would be fine though we would probably go to another location. We have been to Miller's from Florida to Pennsylvania and had never been treated like this. Last night was the 4th and LAST TIME I will ever come into this establishment. Came in at 9pm, maybe a total of 20 guest, if that, in the building. Ordered 2 dinners. I sat there and watched our plates sit in the window for 24 minutes. Also witnessed employees picking shrimp off one of our plates. ALL the employees including the MANAGER walked past our plates multiple times. I had a few words with the manager, and respectfully declined our order. No recourse was given NONE! Hubby ordered French soup and chicken fajita. I ordered filet mignon. My dish was quite good. I liked the vegetable that came with my filet mignon. I asked for the garlic butter to be out on the side so I could eat however I like it. That garlic butter was very good! Hubby's French onion was delicious. The sizzling chicken fajita was ok. I would prefer the onions and peppers to be sautéed a little longer. The taste was not bad but not the best we ever had. That's ok because I'm sure the restaurant has its own signature dish that we didn't try. Perhaps next time we'll try something else. After the entrees, we couldn't control ourselves by ordering Capt Jack Buried Treasure! No, it's not a drink! It's our dessert for the night! Yay! This incredible dessert was meant to be for us. Looks like any sports bar or pub, but it is so much more. The staff is great, friendly, attentive and not overbearing. While it has the normal pub grub, the selection is surprising and the blackened Cobb salad is amazing as is the pork Osso Bucco. The restaurant is well lit, clean and comfortable. Miller's Alehouse has a variety of great meals to choose from. From the flat iorn steak and ribs to the jambalaya and lobster they have many great choices and specials. The various fajitas and fish and chips are even good. Thay also have a spectacular chicken natcho appetizer plate that is big enough for 2 and can even replace the entree. The deserts include one called the Captain Jack which is an ice cream cake that 2 can share and is served on hot fudge and is truly epic. Now for the adult beverages... I'm no stranger to Millers as I've been to the one in Rockville, MD. I was pleasantly surprised to see one here in Newark, DE. I normally go for happy hour so I wasn't familiar with the menu. I started my visit with a cocktail--BlackBerry Bourbon Smash. OMG, this drink was not only pretty to the eye it was very tasty! Very well mixed and crafted. For my entree I had the Cajun chicken Pasta...let me tell you--AMAZING! Hands down probably one of the best pasta dishes I've had. Finished my meal off with a Brownie Sundae. Took one bite and it melted in my mouth. It was so good. I was definitely full by this point and most definitely satisfied. I'd definitely recommend Millers and have already been back multiple times. This Miller's Ale House is okay; I'm just happy that it's close to where I work. I've been to the one in NE Philly before this one, which I really liked, so I got something to compare. First impressions, it's almost ALWAYS super busy here. I don't know why, but there's always seem to be a wait. Luckily, every time I end up walking to the bar and was able to find a seat. As for the food/drinks: I often went to Miller's in NY Philly because I really enjoy the drink selections and the deals, as well as very decent food. This location's continues to honor the good drink selection/deals. Various rotating seasonals and a good staple as well. Continues to also have those good liquor deals if you want a hard night out. Daily food specials remain a thing, which is great. My go-to is their classic Chicken Cajun Pasta. However, the one from this location compared to the one in Philly is slightly more bland (I've gotten it twice from and about the same each time) and less creamy. Chicken is still grilled really well, though. Finally, inside is pretty nice looking. Two big sections with 2 full bars. Plenty of booths and bar seating. Service is about average and nothing stood out. Prices are decent. Pros: Food/drink deals, drinks Cons: Busy, nothing "stood out" Recommend?: Maybe for happy hour and a once in a while dinner. read more

For the main course, she got the steak and dumpling combo, served over a cilantro rice. That steak was medium rare and when I say it melted, IT MELTED in my mouth. So tender and flavorful. My entrée was the garlic parmesean zingers over a seashell Mac and cheese. The cheese, garlic, chicken breading all came together so beautifully it was like heaven. So very delicious! The desert was the Jack's ice cream cake, chocolate, delicious-Ness that ended I wonderful lunch outing. First time here and the tv situation is serious. It still doesn't top Hooters though (they have tvs at every table). But they do have not one but two large circular bars. They also have drink specials every day of the week all day not just Monday thru Thursday happy hours. My friend and I had two pitchers of margaritas for 20.00 and change. We easily got three 6 oz drinks a piece out of each one. The menu was full of the usual suspects save for the addition of osso bucco and a smoked fish dip that I haven't seen anywhere except a fish house. Some things are typically always good, like the zingers, and wings but other are inconsistent. My go to was the potstickers and steak skewers, but was turned off the last time because the meat was fatty and stringy. That was disappointing. Mahi tacos were bland. The tortilla soup was luke warm and no tortillas in it. Need to offer weekly bar/football app specials. The salad was good with a nice mix of veggies, meat (also had bacon on it) and egg. Just be sure to ask for extra dressing. I also had the zinger melt. This dish consisted of chicken tenders smothered in cheese and bbq sauce on top of a bed a fries. Oh and ranch dressing to dip it all in. This is big enough to be a meal for two. Lastly, we had a bunch of appetizers with my favorite being the Tex mex nachos. Tender chicken with a bunch of toppings like jalapeños and sour cream.
