I went here today, because I offered a friend who I have not seen in a while a birthday lunch, and she wanted to eat here. Not going to chain restaurants that much because of their high sodium and sugar levels, I was wary about coming here. I looked at their website online to carefully plan out my calories, and sodium & sugar levels. I ordered a banana granola pancake without syrup & butter, and with coffee. The pancake was so excellent, and the coffee at this chain restaurant was very good. The waitress bought out a coffee pot and left in on the table (standard thing here?), so I could refill it on my own. I appreciated it, because it makes it easier for me to get a coffee refill. Meh. That is really all you need to hear from this review. They serve breakfast. The room is kind of sparsely decorated. Kind of bare and cold. Other locations in Florida are really good and we go all the time. But this one--meh. The coffee is kind of watery and bitter. Bacon--2 meager slices. Eggs--small and bland from some factory farm. Pancake--yeah, I guess. The service was friendly but not overly attentive. Overall, not terrible, not memorable--just.... meh. read more

Had yet another amazing brunch with our nephews at the First Watch at Buckley Mill Rd. The blueberry cornbread, shrimp n grits, burrito n salad were all good. Soecial mention of our favorite waiter, Dylan. He is always so professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all our questions regarding ingredients ( one of our nephews has multiple allergies) so well that we all could enjoy our meals without any worries. This is a review for online ordering services only. I was in the mood for pancakes and upon noticing the Newark location had an hr wait, I remembered this new location and luckily the wait for pick up was only 22 mins. Placing an order online was seamless: I picked the trifecta which gives you an option of waffle/pancake, eggs any style and choice of breakfast meat. I selected the lemon ricotta pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. The restaurant is pretty tiny, even the bar area cannot hold many patrons. The outdoor dining however looks like it can accommodate much more which will be nice in spring/summer. I was a little late picking up my order but they have a designated area for online orders/DoorDash/etc so I was able to grab and go and it was ready when I arrived. Overall I enjoyed the meal: the bacon is amazing ! Very good quality. The eggs were fluffy and tasty and the pancakes are huge, although I wanted them to be lighter..since I had to reheat them I will give this a pass. My total was $13 and change... there was a $2 up-charge for lemon ricotta and not sure if it was worth it for some strawberries and lemon curd. Got in line at 10:50 and was given a 30 minute wait - sat down at 11:25. It took 15 minutes for a server to greet us, and it is now 12:18 and the food has not arrived. This restaurant is SEVERELY understaffed. The restroom is in dire need of attention - with toilet paper and paper towels littering the floor. Moreover, I literally watched a server use the bathroom, then stand by the sink and use her phone, and then return to work without washing her hands. In short, we will not return. Our 1st visit to the new Greenville, DE location. Was not impressed. Yes, the place is clean...it's new. The staff all seemed young with minimal training. The staff who waited on us were very nice & polite, but not very attentive to the only 10-15 total customers. After being seated, we were passed a few times by waitresses, finally one asked if we'd been waited on...No, not yet. We ordered the Soup & 1/2 sandwich. We both ordered Wedding soup with 1/2 turkey club sandwich. We were served vegetable soup loaded w/corn, that neither of us can eat, & not the Wedding soup we ordered. Our sandwiches were made with what I would call "processed deli meat" turkey that was not appealing at all. We've been to another First Watch near Quakertown, PA, & it was much better, better wait staff, service & better quality of food. We will try another visit for breakfast, & I'll make final judgment whether to return at that time, but, I probably won't go out of my way to make that happen. read more

I hope your hungry, for nothing. First time in my life I've been on a waitlist and they decide to stop seating, and close 45 minutes early because they were busy. Told the people that were on the waitlist too bad. The wait for a table was 15 minutes. That's not bad. Some restaurants have a 45 minute wait for a table every Friday and Saturday night. Hope they enjoyed getting out of work almost an hour early while the hungry guests had to drive somewhere else and start the process over. Well done. We had a positive first experience here on a weekend morning. I believe it was the first weekend after they opened. we've been to the location in Newark and were excited to see this one was open. We put our name in ahead of driving over, but drove pretty much immediately over there and got a table right away. All of the food was great and our server was nice. Have been to this new location twice. The interior is modern and clean. The first visit the restaurant was staffed with corporate support for the launch. It was very well staffed and running smoothly. The second visit was understaffed (no hostess) and our waitress was trying to seat, check out customers and serve! We were told the manager was in the back of the house! Why? Why? The food is quite good. We have had the steel cut oatmeal, the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and the French toast. We visited the First Watch location at Barley Mill on tuesday, March 21st. We greeted the hostess ( Dana) but her response was "how many? She walked us to our table , dropped the menus and turned ro walk away . We thought maybe a bad day. We watched her seat an elderly couple . She walked to the table again dropped the menus and turned to walk away before they had even got there. They had to stop her to ask where they were seated. She responded " the table where the menus are". Our server Cody aplogized to us . Thanks to him our experience was turned around. This was our first time there. read more

The ambiance and cleanliness of the new location is great! Its right up the road from us so perfect spot for a quick breakfast or lunch! There were a few hiccups in the service. There were 3 of us and the server took over 15 min to greet us and only served in twos. Only got 2 water glasses, 2 coffee mugs and constantly had to ask for the basics. We finally put our food order in and once again, there was no unison in the service. 2 of us got our food and my boyfriend waited 10 or so extra minutes for his food. We asked for a 3rd water glass multiple times only to have to track down another server.
