My family started coming to this one because the Smokey Point location is more crowded and now there's road construction blocking the easiest way to get there. The first few times we came we were really happy with the food and service ,but that seems to be slipping. Last time we came here, our server was not only inattentive but a side dish we ordered arrived at our table so late that we were all already done eating. Husband said thanks, but no thanks. Today I came here with my two kids. The server did not write anything down or use a tablet to take our orders even though we had specific dietary requests for my lactose intolerant kids. In addition, I asked for blueberry pancakes, no whip cream, no compote. I received plain buttermilk pancakes. When I returned them to the waitress for the blueberry ones I ordered, she said she didn't remember me saying that though we had an entire conversation about the stupid compote. Maybe if she'd written it down, she would have remembered! I also heard a neighboring table with the same waitress complaining that she screwed up their drink order. (Brought coffee when he ordered OJ.) Then when it was time to pay the bill, I gave her a pancoin promo code and a gift card. She ran my gift card and returned it to me with no receipt! she verbally told me I had $20 left on my card and I guess I'll have to take her word for it. Had no cash, and without the receipt had no ability to tip, not that she deserved one anyway. But since I'm not a jerk, I would've tipped her anyway, but couldn't because she didn't give me a receipt. The service is very slow! We have come here before without issue but the service is inconsistent! Today we did not get our pancakes with out order; we asked the waitress for them and she said there was a big table ahead of us so the did not come out with the food. Literally there were 3 families (2 to 3 people) in the restaurant. After 20 minutes (when we were ready to leave) the pancakes came. We asked for the ticket and another 15 minutes the waitress dropped the ticket and never came back. We walked to the register and then asked another employee to ring us up so we could leave and he said he needed to find the waitress. With a bulk of straws in her hands the waitress waddled over to us and rang the ticket - handed us the machine and left!!! I mean she couldn't wait for us to just put our card in the machine or get the tip? We got the manager and she finished processing the check so we could obtain the receipt! Recently I had a bad experience at the Smokey Point IHop but I thought I'd give them another chance at the Lake Stevens location. It didn't start well. We waited for 10 minutes before our waitress greeted us. There is a commercial on TV right now advertising their $6 menu. I glanced over the menu and there was no $6 menu. It was $7 despite the add. My daughter ordered orange juice and it was so watered down it tasted like water with a splash of orange juice. The biscuits were under cooked on my biscuits and gravy. The waitress blew off my request for extra napkins and butter. Generally although we were once a regular customer of IHop, the ser ice and quality of the food has gone down hill so much I won't be returning. Very sad. read more

My wife and I went for a early dinner late lunch today and decided to give IHOP a shot. Brand new place but it's been open a little bit. We were greeted and seated quickly the waiter gave us info on current specials and we made or order. I had the classic steak burger with bacon and my wife had the senior turkey dinner. Food arrived and both were good, I had asked for no onion on my burger but it still came with them, other than that it's a nice change of pace from Lake Stevens' usual Mexican or Asian restaurants we'll definitely go back prices aren't bad either. read more

Only One star cause our waiter was nice and doing his best. I hate leaving bad reviews but I can't help it this time. I knew when I sat down and my table was sticky and got on my jacket, this was gonna not be worth it. Breakfast burrito was basically just egg, sausage and hash browns were cold. Bacon was fried to a crisp. Literally sounded like I was eating rocks. Pancakes were flat and dry. Couldn't track anyone down to get butter and jam for the toast. I didn't get it till I got my bill and threw it in the to go box. Everyone looked overworked and unhappy.... Food service for ya. Pretty small place and was packed on a Sunday morning. very small location and the wait time was long. The food was cold and they were out of avocados which came on our sandwich. But they did not deduct anything for not having them on our order. The wait time to get your food was long and to even get the check. The waitress was trying her best but could not keep up and the restaurant was not even all the way full. To be fair we did go at like 10pm on a Saturday, but it was what'd you expect from an IHOP in my opinion. Our server was fast, knew what she was doing and had us in an out in a timely manner. Was stoked to see a ihop open near our town and was so disappointed on the customer service. The food was great. But.....Our server didnt smile once. She seemed to hate being there. This location is the worst I have ever been to. We sat in the lobby for 15 minutes without being acknowledged by staff. I had to call the restaurant and ask someone to come to the front so we could be seated. There were only 4 people seated in the restaurant so the lack of service is unacceptable. This location requires masks which I respect. However my family didn't have masks with us so we asked them to provide masks and they said they had none. Yes, I understand this is a review in the middle of a pandemic, BUT and it's a big one, the bulk of my ordering and disappointment happened pre-pandemic. I love myself some IHOP, but this place since the get go has been WAAAAAY OFF. Orders are incorrect or never on time and if I order for pick up, it's been sitting on the table inside for a long time. The two spots up front for pick up should just be eliminated because people 99% of the time have parked there and gone in to eat. There's no point for those. read more
