Management here really needs to do something different. Came here for a birthday breakfast. The table right across from us came after and had a young child that was blasting cartoons on an Ipad. I can understand the IPad being on low but to be blasting it was really disruptive and took away from the entire experience. I did tell a manager lady with blonde hair and she said there is nothing they can do. I don't see why you cannot tell a table to simply turn the volume lower. Everyone around was inconvienced by this. If IHOP doesn't care about the customer experience I just won't come back. I ordered sourdough toast, hasbrowns & egg whites. I go in to pick it up and my total was a little under $11 WHAT??? what the hell did i order? So the young girl behind the counter is looking at me like Im talking in chinese when I ask her why it was so much, nothing sucks more than dealing with some high school kid that hates their job, NOTHING. My family and I always come to this IHOP. We have one super close by our house, but we've always been very fond of this place in Covina. Recently, every first of the month, my grandma insists that we go out and have breakfast. Every time we come, the hostess smiles, welcomes you, and takes your name. There won't always be a wait, but sometimes there is, and that's totally okay with us. For the past two months we've been waitressed by Jennifer. My grandma only speaks Spanish, and Jennifer has told us that she doesn't speak it, but understands my grandma easily. She talked to us about her grandma and how we remind her of her grandma as well. My grandma isn't impressed easily, but when we left today after our monthly IHOP run, she said, "La niña que nos atendió es tan amable," which means that the woman who attended us is so kind. All in all, Jennifer is an amazing waitress and her service is absolutely outstanding. Our food always comes out pipping hot and our coffee cups are never empty (and never cold). My family has tried everything from the pancakes, to the waffles, and even the omelettes! We definitely enjoy this place and you should definitely give it a try. And we hope you get the pleasure of being seated in Jennifer's area. :) read more

Worst place ever. Drinks are way over priced. Almost $5.00 for a glass of orange juice. Almost $4.00 for a regular soft drink. Customer service was not good enough for what you pay for. The food looked good but was not very tasty at all, i do a better job cooking at home. I'm so dissapointed that I paid almost 10 just for beverages, thats craziness I would not recommend eating here, unless you enjoy overpriced food with no flavor. What can I say... this place is always on point with our breakfast! We come here so often that they pretty much recognize us and our order. I probably should be embarrassed to share that lol but i'm not! lovely people work here have never had an issue with customer service and they always give us our orders just the way we asked for them! Since we are trying to be good, we usually substitute the eggs for egg whites and the hash browns for red skin potatoes along with their special secret house salsa made by one of their preps.. This is my first time writing a review because i just really have to put this here.. i don't usually complain about my food if my order is messed up, i just don't go back anymore but this time i sent my steak back because it was well done and i ordered medium rare so i told the waitress that it's well done she said "that's actually medium well" but i ordered medium rare.. when she came back and she came back quick it was bloody asf like they just slapped it in the pan turned it over and served it. Right of the bat, what got my attention was the fact that the kitchen was in the middle if everything and wide open. That would be great but the place is small enough as it is. I speak only for myself when I say that an open kitchen in a tiny restaurant is not very tasteful. The restaurant quickly redeemed itself with it's fast service. We sat down immediately and they were quick to get our drinks. Robert was our waiter and he was great. Very funny and fast. I was undecided and he saw I was struggling so he made a great recommendation for me and it turned out to be a good one. The food was good, not spectacular but good.
