I am so angry now! I have gone to this place several times and I understand wait times and service will always vary. No complaints there. My complaint you ask...? I forgot my credit card on the table. My fault completely. No big deal. My dissatisfaction comes in the form of customer service. I called to ask about my card and the receptionist said, "sir, we're slammed, I won't be able to check right now." Well, can I speak with the manager please? Me and my husband went on a Sunday morning it wasn't too busy yet we asked to be seated at a booth and they said they had a system and we would have to sit at a table then he let us sit at a booth after all. Not good this visit, a previous visit was good. I am of the opinion the server determines whether I have a good experience or not, does anyone disagree. Some servers are always on top of their game while some others are not. I've always believed that it is the responsibility of the server to ensure the order is correct before delivering it to the table, 5 out of 10 times that doesn't happen. If the interaction between the server and customer has gone sour, it should be the server's goal to ensure that customer's order is correct and delivered to their table in a timely manner. Its a reflection of the server as well as the restaurant, good customer service should always be #1, no matter the circumstances. I find some servers cannot be attentive to the customers needs, rather than be single minded on one individual customer they tried to multi tasks on all their customers while some customer waits for the service they need or want. I ordered a grilled cheese, not on the menu, but how hard is it to make a good grilled cheese sandwich? Charged me 8.99 for a grilled cheese plate that if I was the manager I would be embarrassed to serve. I know some one will say don't order something not on the menu, but come on it was a grill cheese, give me a break. For 8.99 make the best grilled cheese in town. After being seated, ordered a hot chocolate and it took 45 minutes to even get that. After 1 hour 20 minutes, half of us had drinks (after an hour seated) and had ordered - the other half had not even had their drink orders or had their food orders taken. I don't like to gripe and complain but my experience here I need to make people aware so here we go. We were celebrating my parents anniversary which they love ihop but we will never go back to this location. The only table they put us at the freezing cold air was blowing right on top of us I asked the waitress if she could turn the air up and that never happened the whole time we were there so we sat and tried to enjoy our time together trying stay warm. Now we are going to the drink I ordered chocolate milk and at the bottom was waiting a fly that I found halfway done with my milk I kindly scooped it out with my straw and informed the manager with a low tone because I didn't want to make a scene. I was already disgusted from this Manner as the manger took it to the kitchen I could hear them in the back saying "I've never seen this before in my life" and talking about asking me if I wanted another milk which I kindly said no. All they did for this issue was just take off the milk which I was already worried about flys being in the rest of my breakfast agenda. Now let's get to the food the toast was hard a rock the omelettes were runny and the bacon that we asked to be extra crispy was soggy and half cooked. I would give zero stars if I could. A group of my friends and I went to this IHOP after work and we were kindly seated on one side of the building as there were 14 of us. After our waitress, Norma, took our drink order and brought us our drinks, she took our order and left. We never saw her again. We were talked to by the manager about our noise level, but we told him we were very sorry and that we would keep our volume level down. Then another couple came in and was seated in the same section as us, however they got their food shortly after their order was taken, and by then we had been waiting for our food for an hour. One of the girls at our table got up and asked if our food was almost done, only to be told that our order was never put into the computers because Norma thought one of us threw something at her. We were never told about this by our waitress, and the manager never mentioned it when he came and complained about the noise. They let us sit in the restaurant, doing everything they asked us to do, waiting for our food, for an hour while they didn't even put it in the system. None of us even knew about the incident happening, and if we had known we all would have sincerely apologized, and Norma would've gotten the at least $40 cash tip we were planning to give her. Once we learned what had happened, one of the girls went and apologized and we went elsewhere to eat dinner. We will never be going back to this IHOP location, and I urge you to not come here either. This is not how customer service should be handled and problems should be dealt with. If Norma had an issue with us, we should have been told when it happened and we would've resolved it, but instead we had at least an hour and a half of our time wasted, Norma lost an almost $40 cash tip, and this IHOP location lost at least $90 of business and all future business from us and our workplace. read more
