Amazinggggg, truly fire pizza and this is next to the famous Juliana's (the OG Grimaldi) and Grimaldi's. The service wasn't the best but once the food arrived and was consumed, I forgave them. The pizza and meatballs were too too good. Skip the lines and long wait of Juliana & Grimaldi and come here! You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely classic New York pizza spot -- it's casual, cozy and feels very Brooklyn! We came in for a late lunch and were seated right away, and our waiter was quick and had a great sense of humor. We split "The Pizza" with pepperoni (and appreciated their willingness to add mushrooms to half), and it came out quickly, piping hot and tasted phenomenal -- very flavorful sauce, chewy crust, super fresh mozzarella and basil and nice side of hot honey. We were also grateful to see that they offered personal gluten-free pizzas, as one member of our group is GF (she said it tasted great!). 10/10 for Ignazio's in my book -- would definitely recommend!

Walking back from the most popular pizzeria in the area that was packed and had long lines , we were hungry and wanted something quick , so we opted for a pizza slice to keep us going . We ordered front the To Go counter at this pizzeria as that was the only option available without waiting Tried a Slice of Sicilian pizza on the go . It was a pre made pizza that was reheated and served . It turned out being Just another pizza . Nothing to rave about . Thicker crust with cheese and Margherita sauce . It was not bad but , not something I would go back to . Didn't dine in to write about the ambience .

Had the most incredible experience at Ignazio's, my friends and I randomly stopped in to just get a drink but we stayed for way more. The servers are all extremely friendly and attentive, the drinks are even better! We had the white sangria pitcher which was such a deal, delicious by the way. The servers kept bringing us free samples of the frozen drinks and it was life changing. Anastasia, you are such a doll. Just gained a customer for LIFE!!!

We stopped by Ignazio's in Brooklyn to try this pizza. We ordered at the window to take 1 cheese and 2 pepperoni slices to go. There are tables scattered around the area and lovely views of the Brooklyn Bridge. The undercarriage was crunchy, the sauce was mild and fresh tasting with hints of oregano. Maybe could stand a little more cheese but we all thought the pizza was great and would get again and recommend. Inside dining is available.

Best pizzeria in town! I'm visiting from California and a friend highly recommended we stop by, and I'm so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious and everything came out perfect. The customer service was just as amazing -- everyone was so welcoming and attentive. A special thank you to Sim for taking such great care of us and making our visit even better. We left with our tummies full and the best, happy vibes. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great pizza and great service!

Came here for a slice and unfortunately, I feel like they didn't really reheat the slices enough. The slices I got were kind of lukewarm and I tried a plain cheese and Sicilian with pepperoni. The plain cheese wasn't bad as the sauce was pretty flavorful and with the addition of pizza garlic, it was even better. I didn't really enjoy the Sicilian with the pepperoni as much because the meat was kind of just slapped on and not cooked to the point it was oily and cupped.

I was very disappointed at my recent experience here. I used to tell my friends all over CA and in NY that this is one of my favorite pizza spots. Now I want to take it all back after trying it recently. The experience started off in a sour tone, with the lady staff seating us and then saying "Cash only. ATM machine over there." We were confused at their policy, and she just dismissively went "Yeah. Over there." I didn't remember it being cardless, but still went ahead because I wanted to show my girlfriend and my family this spot I raved so much about with them. PS There's extra fees in withdrawing money from an ATM machine that isn't your bank so you would think the staff would be more considerate about the inconvenience... We ordered one large pizza. The next lady that took our order was also very rude and didn't listen to our questions on their pizza properly at all. Instead she thought we didn't understand what a Large or a Medium pizza went. Whatever. Next, a guy gave us waters and took our drink orders. We got 4 sodas. He leaves. Then we sit and wait for about 20 minutes. During this time, we see MANY staff standing around, chatting with each other. It wasn't busy at all inside and we were one of the only 2 groups in the indoor seating. We got our pizza finally after the wait and then realized we didn't even get our drinks yet. We were halfway done with our pizza when the male staff comes up and went sorry I forgot your drinks and was about to serve us our sodas (which were just cans by the way). To that, I said no we don't want them anymore. We were pretty much almost done with the pizza!! Ontop of that, the pizza was extremely underwhelming. Just a simple large half cheese and half pepperoni pizza. The sauce was very flavorful and I remember that's what I liked of this spot (rest of my group was alright with it), but the rest was so disappointing. The bread was burnt at the bottom so it was hard to crunch and the inner bread was undercooked to where it was pasty. My sisters didn't like that the cheese pizza had sauce ontop of the cheese too. My gf didn't want to say anything since she knew it was my favorite, but later confessed she's had better. I agreed with her. I know we had way better. I saw a couple in the outdoor patio trying to pay with a card after they ate. He got hit with the cardless news and he had to go use the ATM machine inside. This spot has become a joke and I definitely regret taking a trip down here. I don't think I'll ever come back again, and I thought I would always ever since I found this spot in highschool and have come here at least 5 times.

Stumbled into here on a cold, winter evening while strolling DUMBO. Didn't know what to expect, but WOW this Sicilian pizza was amazing. The sauce, perfect sauce to cheese ratio, perfect thickness(not thin but not too thick). Also, the salads( Caesar and house) were phenomenal. The house salad had the perfect ratio of olive oil to vinegar. Service was great, everything came out on a timely manner. Bonus: $12 extra charge for those with gluten intolerances which is a great accommodation for those who need to choose this option. Overall, I will definitely return again!

I thought this was place was ok at best! We stopped in on Black Friday around 2ish because my friend swore by this place while we were walking around in Dumbo. This place made me question whether or not my boyfriend had tried other pizza places before. First - service was EH. We were fortunate that as soon as we walked in and said there were 3 of us, the hostess said they're just cleaning off a table. We're not allowed to stay inside for what I assume traffic reasons so we stayed in the tiny in between door between inside and out of the restaurant. After 15 minutes, my boyfriend went in to use the restroom and nudge them and they just remembered and sat us at a table that has been empty for awhile since we were eyeing it in this in between area. When we were finally seated by the hostess after reminding her that we were there. That was really annoying because we would have been waiting all day had we not reminded this hostess we existed. It took forever for a server to even know we were sitting where we were. We finally ordered after a 20 minute wait (I'll give them grace because it did look busy) and we got a mocha latte, a beer, and a pineapple meat pizza. The pizza took ages to get but it makes sense because I want to assume they are all made to order with that wait time, but the mocha lattes and beers came fast and they were great. We got the pizza, which for the most part is American style and taste like I can make at home with the ingredients from Trader Joe's. The pizza itself was not worth the wait or the high price tag in other words. Overall, wouldn't return, as the server didn't even check on us after we got the pizza. I think the high prices come from the tourist area but man the pizza was so ok it hurt. Overall, not worth but the mocha latte isn't bad!

Amazing experience! The guy that was advertising outside got us in right before closing. All good we ordered as soon as we got in! However, we got the wrong size of pizza. Our waitress Alexa ensure that matter was corrected and everything went well otherwise! My friend said was the best pizza he ever ate! And I do hope to return in the near future!

Visiting from LA so checking out the pizza was a must! We ordered a Cesar salad and bacon and pepperoni pizza. Everything was amazing. Also very much so shareable! Service was good and it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. The music playing was a plus! I must say I prefer NY Pizza over Chicago Pizza!

L'Industrie Pizzeria has become one of the most talked-about slice shops in New York, known for…read moreserving thin-crust pizza with high-quality ingredients and creative specialty slices. We walked into the Williamsburg location, which has a simple neighborhood feel, but the constant line outside quickly reminded us how popular it has become. The space is compact and functional, with limited seating and a steady flow of customers moving through the counter, but despite the crowds, the operation moves efficiently, making it a manageable stop if you are prepared to wait a bit. The pizza is the main reason to visit, and it is easy to see why it has built such a strong reputation. The crust is thin with a light crisp on the bottom while still staying chewy enough to support the toppings, the balance of textures creating a base that holds up well against the weight of the ingredients. The burrata slice is one of the signatures, with creamy burrata adding richness without overwhelming the rest of the pizza, and the combination of the fresh cheese with the crisp crust and bright tomato sauce makes each bite feel well composed. The fig jam and bacon slice is another standout, balancing sweet and savory flavors in a combination that feels unique without being overdone, and the saltiness of the bacon cuts through the sweetness of the jam, creating a layered flavor profile. Even the classic slices are executed well, with quality ingredients that let the simplicity of New York-style pizza shine. Beyond the pizza, they also offer desserts like soft serve, gelato, and olive oil cake, making it easy to finish your meal without having to stop somewhere else. The menu is not overly large, but there are enough specialty slices to make trying more than one worthwhile, and the quality across the board is consistent enough that even the simpler options feel carefully prepared. The biggest downside is the popularity. Seating is limited, and it is common to encounter a line throughout the day, especially during lunch and dinner hours. If you are hoping to avoid the longest waits, arriving earlier in the day is usually your best option. Fortunately, the staff keep the line moving quickly, so the wait rarely feels excessive, and the turnover is fast enough that even with a queue, the experience stays smooth. L'Industrie Pizzeria lives up to its reputation as one of New York's standout slice shops. The combination of excellent crust, high-quality toppings, and creative specialty pizzas makes it worth the visit, even if you have to wait in line. It is the kind of place that is easy to recommend whether you are grabbing a quick slice or making it a destination during a day exploring Williamsburg, offering a pizza experience that feels both classic and inventive at the same time.

It is definitely the best pizza in the US; I say this even after visiting Frank Pepe and Sally's in New Haven, and it's honestly not even close. On our last day before heading back to SF, we ordered a massive whole pie: half burrata, half pepperoni. It nailed the classic NYC slice with a thin, crisp crust and the perfect balance of cheese and sauce. It was so good that my daughter finished her burrata half over three separate sittings: at the shop, on the plane, and once she got home. The pie just kept calling to her! Be prepared for long lines, but it is worth it (and the Brooklyn location definitely has shorter lines than the Manhattan spots). It's not really a sit-down place, so you just have to grab a spot at the bar-top tables if you can find room. The service was good and fast. The cashier who took our order was amazing--absolutely love her--though she did forget to hand us our chocolate Bombolone. L'Industrie is a premier New York institution and busy for a reason: it is top-quality pizza!

Came here in the past and always a line out the door so didn't bother. Finally had a chance to try yesterday for late lunch with a friend when there were many empty tables inside, so no line and no waiting. We ordered a medium Margarita based pizza with pepperoni & roasted peppers toppings. We were really surprisd the pizza came out in less than 5 minutes after waiter served us our drink order. Upon biting into it, right away what popped up in my head is 'why is the pizza crust so soggy?' Maybe the knife & fork on the table should've been a dead give away. One saving Grace is the sauce does have a sweetness to it, not tangy like some other famous shop in the Village. And also the 2 toppings were tasty enough to save this dining experice. Before leaving the restaurant, asked our waiter about the crust, he said since restaurant wasn't busy, the kitchen had already pre-made the pizzas, so it was just a matter of heating it and bring it out, hence the fast service. Pro-tip: next time (a big if for this reviewer), one must ask the crust be 'well-done,' in order to get its texture to the desired degree of cripiness that one should expect from what should have been an iconic pizza place in NYC.

Situated at the corner of East 15th Street and Avenue J, the establishment was owned and managed by Domenico DeMarco (1936-2022), but now his family continues that legacy. Food critics and bloggers frequently rank it among the top pizzerias in New York City. Di Fara has received numerous accolades, including being named the "Best pizza in New York" by publications such as New York and Serious Eats. The New York Times described the restaurant as "one of the most acclaimed and sought-after pizza shops in New York City." In 2011, Zagat ranked it as the top pizza restaurant in the city, and in 2013, Frommer's called its pizza "the Best Hand-Made Pizza in New York City." Chef Anthony Bourdain also expressed admiration for the restaurant's pizza. I had long hoped to visit Di Fara, so I decided to make a trip from Connecticut. Upon entering, my son and I observed that it was quite busy. There is also a window for ordering, but we chose to go inside to order our food to experience the atmosphere fully. We each ordered a freshly prepared Sicilian slice. Unlike some places, there was no pre-made pizza on display. Each slice is made to order, and it takes about twenty-five minutes to prepare. When we received our pizza, it was notably greasy. The Sicilian slices resembled a full meal, topped with garlic and pepperoni. The garlic was quite prominent and flavorful, adding a nice punch which I liked. The pepperoni was crispy, and the undercarriage had a nice crunch, though it was also quite oily. In my personal opinion, it wasn't the best slice I've ever tasted. However, I understand that when the owner, Dom, was alive, the pizza was considered exceptional by many. I would rate it around 3.5 stars, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience pizza from one of New York's most iconic establishments.

Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. If I'm ever in Brooklyn in the area of Luigi's I'm definitely headed back.

On my most recent visit, a whole fresh plain pizza pie for still only $22.75 is insane. Best price for a pie in NYC, not counting all the dollar slice stores since they make shit pizza. We ordered a whole pie half plain and half pepperoni, which is only $2.50 more. What I notice right away is the zesty tomato sauce, which Has love. However, I must admit that the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. Yes! It was crispy, but biting through it was somewhat difficult. Overall a good slice, but maybe the dough was off a bit that day. Regardless, Luigi's Pizza is an institution and I will be back again next time I'm in the area. Hopefully, I get a great slice like the ones I remember from the past.

Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Their pizza is SOOO perfectly crisp and charred, and actually is one of the closest pizzas that reminds me of the famous originals in Napoli.

Expensive though, about $55 dollars for a vegan 18-inch Margherita pie with 3 toppings. Was it worth it for the experience? Yes. Would I recommend to someone who wanted to try it at least once for a good dairy-free pizza? Absolutely, I couldn't even tell this was vegan cheese. Would I get it again? Maybe (?) once in a while as a treat with price being the only barrier. Service 5/5: This was great. I came here the other day to inquire about their vegan pizza and just wanted to try a slice. The person found his manager to talk to me about this. They were super friendly and explained to me the situation. This location only sold vegan options in full pies and their other DOP Fast Life location does sell vegan slices, but they didn't try to push me to buy. I came back today and the staff today were also very welcoming. Ambiance 5/5: Rustic red brick interior with warm lighting. It was definitely bustling on a Friday night. Food 5/5: Delicious pizza. I do regret that I ate it cold after driving 30 minutes to pick it up so I did not get the full experience. But the crust was still crunchy. I do wish the toppings were a little heavier but the tomato chunks in the sauce tasted very fresh. A very classic New York style pizza and I couldn't even tell it wasn't real cheese. Vegan garlic knots were great too.

So, eating at this restaurant before the Bruce Springsteen concert, the other night was a thrill. Ate with lifelong friends. We shared several appetizers, including meatballs, a margarita, pizza, bake clams, and spicy shrimp. All were delicious. I had a seafood pasta with squid ink that was memorable. Lots of seafood and the pasta was fantastic! Nice bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Good service. Frankly, I think the prices were cheaper than what I pay in Austin area, and the food and venue were authentic and much better than in Texas!

Fresh mozzarella, a nicely thin crisped crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh basil makes this simple pizza taste great. The fried calamari also impressed. It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
