We love iggys and normally would only give a 5 star rating. Unfortunately today's experience was subpar at best. We arrived to iggys and decided to sit at the bar as we usually do because the wait for a table was 1 hour. (We expected this because of the beautiful weather and delicious food). There was one bar seat so we grabbed it, thinking we would have a drink and wait for another seat to open up. Melissa, the bartender, before even greeting us stated we would need another seat if we wanted to get food in a sassy tone. A couple was leaving a few seats down so we planned to go there. Once we secured 2 seats, we ordered drinks, apps and entrees. The drinks were terrible- 2 Long Island iced teas which tasted like lemonade with a splash of booze and simple syrup. After our experience with the bartender and witnessing her interactions with other customers we realized she was not a pleasant person. She was consistently rolling her eyes at requests from customers and giving short rude answers. We came to terms with the fact that the service tonight would not be up to the usual standards. Other than that, the food was delicious, and our second round of drinks made by a different bartender were much more enjoyable. Melissa became more approachable and friendly after the rush died down, so maybe it was stress related? Food was great as usual! To start, we had clam cakes, white chowder and a Caesar salad. For entrees we had baked scrod and lobster Mac and cheese. We will be back again for the food and hope the service comes back up to what we have come to expect from iggys boardwalk at Oakland beach! read more

Fresh seafood and a wonderful view of the bay. The food is delicious with an excellent group in the kitchen, preparing top notch food for all tastes and ages. Fantastic service, the staff is on top of all your needs and are very courteous and professional. Overall, Iggy's has done it again with their quality food, this time in a classic restaurant setting. Perfectly located at Oakland Beach in Warwick, I highly recommend checking it out. read more

I have no words for the experience I had today with Iggy's in Oakland Beach. Both my husband and I are senior citizens. We drove in from Connecticut which we do every now and then to pay a visit to relatives. The take out window was open so we placed the order and asked if my wife could use the lady's room that it was urgent, seeing we drove in from CT. The young girl stated see could not accommodate. I do get about the virus going on but this was an emergency. We had placed the order and the next thing I was told to go wait in my vehicle and the order would be taken out to me. I did as told and my wife was practically crying that she could not hold her urine any longer, for me to cancel the order and get going to the nearest market so she could go the bathroom. I went to the window and called out 3 times and no one came. Finally when my wife put the SUV in gear to leave the girl came to the window and stated the order was being bagged up. We had told them we didn't want it, to cancel to no avail. Sorry your husband told us too late, that's NOT true he stood at that window calling out for at least 5 minutes and no one answered him. I will never go back to Iggys, if they need our money that bad, so be it. But this sort of behavior by a manager is despicable. Instead of being kind especially in times like this, with this virus situation she showed zero compassion. Instead she (the manager) was abrasive and condescending. She said the order was all done, that's not true my husband tried repeatedly calling someone to come to the window and no one did until they heard my vehicle start up. Sad, sad. read more

Today, on this rainy gloomy day we decided to check out Iggys Boardwalk, wasn't disappointed at all. We started with Clams Zuppa white, tons of clams, Chrico, excellent broth, ordered 1/2 clam cakes crunchy on the outside soft with big chucks of clams, NE clam chowder always delicious at Iggys no surprise. My husband had the fish and chips his review "very good" (lots to say) , I had the shrimp scampi with rice pilaf, great flavor .. and we had a great server Jackson.. this place is spotless... just wish we had better weather .. will definitely be back.. read more

Omg! I'm so disappointed I haven't been sooner. I always go next door to carry out & thought next door was about the same I was wrong! The view is amazing you would think you was in the Caribbean, the palm trees, beach & outdoor bar is awesome! The food is soooooo good. I had the baked seafood platter with scallops, fish, baked stuffed shrimp, StuffIe & lobster claws, rice pilaf, squash & a cup of chowder all included. My drink a sunken treasure was so tropical & tasty! Staff was great & attentive. Will definitely go back many times! In love with the place read more

When I think of summer in RI I immediately think clam cakes and chowder from Iggy's! It's truly a right of passage into summer. Grab food to go and hang by the beach or dine in! Either way you're guaranteed to receive good quality food and great service! read more

This is actually my 1st time going to Iggy's Boardwalk. We know a waitress who works there and we were in the mood for some seafood during the day so we thought of going to Iggy's. I will not go to Iggy's take out window ever because it just takes too long. I was excited to go try what I consider the new Iggy's is although it's probably been there for quite a while. We asked to sit in Tiffany's section and all that was left were two high top tables. So we sat at a high top and had the most curious experience. We were a floor above a refrigerator or a freezer which vibrated the whole time we were there. It was like having the train running underneath you the whole time that you ate. But we stayed in that section because we wanted Tiffany as our waitress and I'm so glad that we did. I wanted a lobster salad roll and I asked her for a recommendation as they had more than one type. She recommended the one that had the lobster warmed with melted butter and I trusted her experience. It was absolutely delicious. We also had steamers that were fresh and clean and delicious and my friend had chowder and clam cakes which is always good at any Iggy's restaurant. It was just what we had been looking for, fresh seafood in a nice environment with good service and it did not disappoint. read more

I've been a loyal Iggy's fan for decades, and was excited to see them branch out into table service. Unfortunately, Iggy's is just not ready for this world. The overpriced menu still had most of the favorites (with several classics missing), but item portions have changed significantly. Not to mention, they are clearly not able to efficiently handle crowds while still making guests feel at home and unhurried - likely a side effect from the decades of take-out window service. The bottom line is, if you want the food (which you should if you have any taste!), just brave the lines at one of the other two options and eat it at the beach where it is meant to be enjoyed. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment, and skip the boardwalk. read more

Food was OK. The chowder had more potatoes than clams. The calamari was mostly breading the best part was probably the drinks, we had the watermelon sangria and the Bloody Mary. BUT BEWARE WHEN PAYING!! Look at your receipt!! They give you suggestions on your percentage tip. We had a $44 meal, they suggested almost $20 as an 18% tip... uhhhh hellllooo... 18% of $44 is $7.92 !!! I took a pic of the tip suggestion on our receipt as proof!! They're robbing the customers!! read more

Iggy's Boardwalk - Really? 18% of a $44 meal is NOT $19.82... that's 45% suggested tip, not 18%!! - Seafood Near Me - Warwick, Rhode Island

Clam cakes with almost no clams way overpriced for dinner or lunch small order of fish and chips for $20.00 . Fried clams like rubber, I can't think of anything I can say good about the place . Way way over priced for what you get read more

I get this is a Rhode Island Institution - but after living in RI for 27 years, I had never been. I wanted to get the full traditional experience, so I ordered clam cakes and white chowder. Chowder was good, but didn't have me doing cartwheels. The clam cakes were alright - I guess I just don't get it. The service was fantastic! quick, friendly, and on point. The location is great. A perfect spot to hang out in the summer if you cane get outdoor seating, so I'll try to head back and try additional menu items. read more

I wish I could explain to you all the religious experience that I had at Iggy's this weekend. The food was so incredible that I almost had to be rolled back to my car. This weekend, I had a bout of spontaneity and decided to take a trip to Rhode Island. Why not? It was only 30 minutes from where I was staying and I was in much needed relaxation time. 30 minutes into our drive, the boyfriend and I had the massive realization that we were driving with no end destination. What did we do? Turn to Yelp. What did we find? The holy grail of Rhode Island Seafood. We were told there was a 45 minute wait for a table, but our buzzer rang in seconds and once seated, our amazingly sweet waitress Caitlin, gave us the lowdown on everything I have been missing out on in life by not living in New England. About 20 minutes later, I was introduced to stuffies, clam pies (which apparently are zeppoles filled with clams) and was well on my way to sipping on the BEST clam chowder that I have ever had. EVER. We finished our meals with some incredible seafood. Have you ever had a perfectly cooked scallop? If not, get yourself to Iggy's ASAP. Want huge chunks of lobster in your lobster roll? Iggy's is the place to be. I have never left a restaurant so satisfied and so content. I could rave about this place for ages but let's just say that Iggy's made this type A control freak extremely grateful for spontaneity. read more

I don't understand why people go here? Food is bland, disappointing, not worth the caloric intake.

What a great dinner! Our waitress Ariel was just lovely. So attentive and kind. The food is large delicious portions. We had seafood which focused on fresh lobster, scallops, and shrimp. We Finished with sugary doughboys for dessert. Highly recommend Iggy's. read more

Ordered linguine with clams for $22. Had hardly any pasta and very light on the clams. The side salad had brown lettuce. Considering the main component is pasta and a pound of pasta costs around $1 I don't think it is too much to ask for a reasonable portion. I don't mind paying but I expect not to still be hungry after eating. I gave two stars since the flavor was decent. read more

My first time at the new boardwalk Iggy's and it didn't disappoint! The prices were reasonable and the food came out quickly and hot. Loved the look inside and the view even on a cloudy day. It was a little noisy due to them only really having one room to seat everyone. I would deff go again and sit down rather than stand outside at the other iggys! read more

Three of us had dinner at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. I wondered why we were seated at a table when a booth was available. I noticed immediately how noisy the room was. We were greeted promptly by Ashley. Right away she gave us a basket of freshly baked bread and our menus. Three cocktails were ordered; Tito's Moscow Mule @ $10, and two Stoli Raspberry Cosmos @ $11 each. With our meals, came either a cup of chowder, a cup of soup, or a salad. I started with a cup of Manhattan Clam Chowder. It was the worst Manhattan Chowder I have ever had. It was peach colored. Nothing like the old Rocky Point or Crescent Park chowder, or any that I have had before. Thankfully, that's the only thing that wasn't good. My cousin ordered the New England Clam Chowder, which was thick and he enjoyed. My wife selected the salad, which she also enjoyed. My wife ordered the Swordfish with mashed potatoes and butternut squash, @$21.99. My cousin and I ordered the Fried Clams @$19.99 each, with cole slaw and we substituted mashed for the french fries. The meals were very good. The cole slaw was one of the best restaurant cole slaws I have ever had. Ashley was an excellent waitress. We never had to look for her and she served us well and in a timely manner. We will go back if in the area again, but the next time I will pass on the Manhattan Chowder. read more

Very surprised how good it was! Sat inside due to the weather but can definitely see how pretty it would be their on a nice day. Calamari was good but too spicy for me. Next time I will ask for the cherry peppers on the side. Chowder and clam cakes were perfect. Baked scrod with mashed and squash and fried clam bellies with truffle fries were both delicious. Made a reservation for outside today. Was very specific that we had to b outside due to son living in a group home and b/c oc coronavirus he could not b seated in side under the state's rules reservation was for 1:30. Stoned for several minutes. Table got wet. Owner and hostess refused to seat us b/c table. Was wet. Ok dry it off. Nope. Next thing I was told we could b seated at 3:30. What??? Explained time and time again son has disabilities and it really would b kind that a reasonable accommodation they would find someway to seat us outside. No way. We went across the street to Top of the Bay explained situation they understood right away and accommodate us. We had the clams casino, perfect portion and really tasty- clam chowder which was really good but was possibly from a can- a burger which was ok, a bit greasy and not seasoned and the grilled mahi mahi that was good but over cooked and definitely did NOT have the pineapple salsa as described but more like a small amount of sweet jelly. Server Cara was nice and attentive. Pretty much what you expect from a tourist location, overpriced "ok" food. read more

Round Three! Stopped by Iggy's again on our first day back in the area. It was a mid afternoon stop and the service was a bit slow at first as the first waitress forgot to fill my water glass, but our servers appeared to be in the midst of a shift change and things picked up from there with a new server. I tried the fish and chips this time with a Whalers Rise and couldn't have been more pleased. I also figured out that a few dashes of malt vinegar adds great flavor to the coleslaw. For the prices, the food should have been better. read more

I went here based upon Yelp recommendations. I was in the Providence area on business from Phoenix. I ordered the Lobster Roll Dinner with the Clam Chowder and an order of Doughboys. I have never tried a lobster roll before but love lobster and have had the good stuff before. The particular one that I had was fresh, demonstrated by the bits of shell I found. I would not have waited in line for the lobster roll. It was tasteless but presented well. I would have, however have stood in a line 3 times as long for the clam chowder. True it does have a lot of potatoes, but my first bite was full of clams. The doughboys...oh my. It was very close to a religious experience. The 4 stars are for the chowder and doughbous. The lobster roll would be a 1 by itself. read more

Poor service and mediocre food. Waited too long for food. Had to complain afterwaiting 45 minutes for our food. Never again!

I then went to the front desk and said we are all set with the poor customer service and would like to pay for our apps and drinks and got a bigger attitude from the short manager.....i asked how much longer and he said well table 30 you jave only been sitting and hour and 20min???? I then said how is this ok when 3 other tables near us have complained aboit cold food or soup and they knew we were upset amd the server again made it worse by saying its comming calm.down....get the f--k out of here......the actual owner was at the table next to us trying to pit the flame out on yet another mishap.....im allset woth the rude waiter and manager at this place, 7 of us would have been at least a 500 bill and yet the staff screwed it up....call.john taffer back to show you how to run a business....smdh read more

I love Iggy's great place to eat only a mile from my house That is great all the food I have is good

Nothing will compare to the cinnamon butter. That is the bar by which everything in this review shall be measured against. Before anything, they brought bread and the incredible cinnamon butter. Bread was crunchy and crusty. But then the cinnamon butter happened. Infinitely better than Texas Roadhouse. It was smooth, creamy, almost a whipped butter. Delectable. We ordered the fried calamari and potato skins for appetizers. The calamari was soft and the coating was perfectly light and crunchy. The banana pepper sauce that's served with them is really spicy, so we asked for a side of marinara - which is probably better than what your grandmother makes. The potato skins were also good, with white cheddar and bacon. I ordered the lobster bomb, and all I really heard was: bread bowl, lobster bisque and 1/4 of lobster. I was sold. It was out of this world. The bread bowl was substantial enough for the soup, and the soup itself was the best lobster bisque I've ever had. There were enormous chunks of lobster in the bisque - entire tails and claws. It also came with chips but I didn't even get to those because I devoured the bisque and bread bowl. Five stars for that alone. My partner ordered surf and turf, and he opted for the ribeye and the stuffed shrimp. The steak was a little underseasoned, but the turf was definitely bigger than the surf. The shrimp was good - stuffing was seasoned well and complimented them. The rice was also good, as was the butternut squash (seasoned like pumpkin pie). There was supposed to be a bowl of clam chowder but it never came. Our waitress was phenomenal and offered to bring a cup and a quart to take home. She gave great suggestions and was really friendly. Overall, throughly enjoyed Iggys and happy we stopped in! read more

I have never been to an establishment that was more disorganized and rude. I waited almost 2 hours to be seated. I realized no one else was waiting and people were being seated a head of me. I spoke to the same clueless hostess several times and she kept telling me I had "two more tables" ahead of me. I decided to sit inside and wait and realized that a family who had only been there for less than 20 minutes was being seated ahead of me. I asked to speak to the floor manager. Again, clueless and disorganized. Offered no real solution. Was trying to find my family a table. Clueless waitress tried to tell me that I got my hostess confused and there was a lack of communication going on. She tried to give me every excuse as to why my family was waiting two hours to be seated. All in all worse dinning experience of my life. I should have read the reviews before considering dinning here as most of the reviews stated how rude and unprofessional the staff is. I also can't help but notice that everyone being seated before me was white. Also the blatant lack in diversity in your floor staff. Maybe they don't seat brown people. Who knows. read more

When my SO and I decided to go to RI for the weekend, Iggy's was a suggestion from everyone so we knew it was a must try. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait to dine in, and were told of the location next door for carry out but we decided to wait. It did indeed take about 50 minutes to be seated as the outside portion of the restaurant was closed but we had gone through the menu extensively and were prepared to order. I opted for the lobster roll which was served with fries and a cup of soup. I ordered the lobster bisque because I just can't have enough lobster. I also thought I'd order the "Iggy's Sunsetter" so I could at least pretend it was the summer. The "Sunsetter" had Kraken black spiced rum with Malibu coconut rum, pineapple and orange juice, and hibiscus syrup. My drink was summer in a glass, I loved it. My soup was brought out quickly and it made my night. It was the best lobster bisque I've had, I really took my time with the cup to make it last. I can't wait to come back in the summer and have the bomb where it's served in a big bread bowl. The lobster roll was really god too, light and crisp with a generous amount of lobster. My SO ordered the fish and chips which he raved about, so all in all, a phenomenal dinner that really made our weekend trip extra special. I highly recommend and look forward to visiting RI again with family so they too could try the bisque! read more
